3 RepliesEdited by Eververse: 6/13/2019 8:49:34 AM1. We have seen nothing 2. Bungie is amazing a hyping bullshit 3. They are giving %70 of the game away .....so hell no I didn't. I need to see a shit load more before anything else. Edit: I been watching Luke and the other guy at E3... saying the same lines over and over again, they look like they don't believe in their own hype.
-
7 RepliesNo. Never pre ordering from bungie ever again. Why? 1. Fooled into pre ordering D2 (along with CoO and Warmind). Fooled into Forsaken. 2. QoL changes hotly demanded by player base continue to be ignored - looking at you Enhancement Cores.... 3. Bungie just isn't respecting the player base anymore. They just keep making increasingly dumber decisions while saying its for our own good.
-
No 1. Been fooled to many times with pre ordering and receiving very hollowed out and dry content. 2. I do not want to continue to encourage their previous behavior. Pre ordering after previous lack of content in DLCs only tells Bungie they can continue to keep doing what they want. 3. Waiting to see more info closer to release date. If I buy it, it’ll be the day before or the day of.

NOT! 1. Nice try Bungie, trying to blame your problems on Activision. Not buying it. All the reasons why I quit months ago are still there and you aren't even talking about them. 2. PvP sucks arse. No dedicated servers AND NONE PLANNED. Matchmaking is an absolute joke! You have announced that you will be favoring "hardcore" players which you've always done, but they don't pay any more for the game than casual players who you offer up as cannon fodder. 3. RNG is horrible. Feels like flogging a dead horse to get some items to drop. There is little reward for the effort put in. 4. All the arbitrary caps on glimmer etc for no other reason it seems than to waste our time. 20 cap for ghost shells?! Not even enough to buy a week's worth of bounties. 5. Broken economy. WTF is the use of making us farm 15 Baryon Bough nodes (more than in any other zone) to do a bounty when they have zero value? I pop in every now and then to check the forums. I loved this game for a time, but I see when I come here that the same stuff is being complained about, and yet nothing seems to change except nerfs to this and that weapon or super. Now that you have split from Activision and Blizz, there are no more excuses. Fix it FFS.
-
Not buying. Reasons: 1. Zero trust in bungie 2. Zero faith in bungie 3. Zero interest in getting bent over a trashcan by bungie again.
-
No 1. If I buy it it'll be a digital copy and they won't run out of those. 2. Bungie doesn't have a great history of dlcs 3. Borderlands 3
-
2 RepliesDefinitely will. Always room in the library for Destiny. I've enjoyed most of it through the years. It's cheap entertainment so why not?
-
No 1: bungie hasn’t proved it worth it yet 2: no reason 3: no reason
-
1 ReplyHell. No. I will NEVER preorder a Bungie item ever again. 1. The simple fact that we keep getting weapons and armor we've already had in D1. I loved a lot of those items, but if I wanted to use them, I'll just play D1. So tired of recycled content, gear and enemies. Let's get creative! 2. Bungie honestly doesn't give a crap about the majority of their players. So many people are tired of the cores for infusion, tired of Eververse, tired of not having Trials/Faction Rallies, nerfs to favorite gear. The list can go on. At some point you have to listen to your community and their concerns and actively find a way to somewhat fix issues. Don't just tell us you're listening or will pass info on, DO BETTER, and actually prove it. 3. Biggest reason: Borderlands 3. There's a franchise that has never let me down. I know that this game is going to be where the majority of my friends are. Hope that this next stage of D2 lives up to y'alls hype. I can't be let down if I don't get it 🤷♀️
-
No! 1. I’ve been burned 2. by Bungie 3. too many times in the past
-
6 RepliesNo. Bungie won't get a dime more out of me. There's just too much wrong with the game. And Bungie appear not to give two shits about feedback. The "we're listening" stuff is laughable. (I guess that's 3 reasons)
-
Im not YET and these are my reasons: 1. I don't want to get CoO again, that was a waste of money so i will wait for more information. 2. I preordered BL3 and that shit is gonn be gooooood. 3. Borderlands 3! So hyped it is 2 reasons haha
-
3 RepliesNo. 1. Cause Bungie 2. Borderlands 3 3. Borderlands 3
-
No pre-order this time for me. I like Destiny 2 right now, but I feel like I'll hold on until I get a good review of it.

Edited by Hel Havok: 6/12/2019 10:22:50 PMNo. 1. There are too many filthy, greedy scams going on in video games that are comparable to criminal conspiracy. Between this annual pass's content in Destiny and regretfully pre-ordering the biggest garbage game since ET; popularly known as Anthem. If a company wants to sell me anything from now on, it will be ready, available and offer some potential satisfaction. 2. I notice a lot of flashy announcements, promises and recycled gear while many basic player concerns and requests are outright ignored for a year or more. Without much comment let alone changes. 3. Companies like Bungie fail to see common sense. People generally want to play games for fun, not to engage in a virtual work simulator and pay bills. These companies try again and again to nickle and dime their customers when I would gladly pay a monthly fee for a game like Destiny IF they concentrated on a vibrant, exciting and engaging experience instead of a dozen garbage currencies including silver; if they didn't design the content to command huge chunks of monotonous grinding to acquire something new to try on occasion; if matchmaking was more widely implemented and improved; enough with the time sink approach, get creative. Does anyone think that the hardcore grinders in strikes and crucible working on ONE personal objective makes it more fun. If Bungie is hard up for cash they should be up front with costs, because this patch makes them look very shameful. I'm aware it will all be given away eventually, but this game has been in a bit of a rut for months, and while Menagerie is definitely fun,the rest of the content grows a bit older when there's little promise of new drops. Not that the silver purchases look very exciting anyways, but variety is the spice of life. I might end up checking it out, but friends left Destiny long ago, new exciting games are coming out regularly... this is a trend I see many Guardians facing. I'm still fighting the eternal war and I'd rather stick with Destiny but there comes a point when not trading up becomes foolish.

28 RepliesEdited by Lucius_Accius: 6/12/2019 11:51:54 PMI like how the people saying pre ordering is bad and that hype this early on are also the people getting hyped off their shit for borderlands 3. My guess for borderlands 3 is that it will get stale and boring after a few months just like the last ones did, but hey, that’s just my opinion of the game. Same thing happened with the division 2. Looter shooters have a pattern of things like this. Overhype, a ton of dlc/season pass shit that is just stuff that should have been in the game already, or old shit from the previous ones, and I personally don’t think that borderlands 3 will be immune. The division 2 was a good example of this. At first I thought it was the best looter shooter ever, and then after a while, I realized that it’s all just the same shit over and over, and I feel like destiny 2 just does the repetition better, because you know that there’s going to be either something you want at the end of it, or you have no clue, which is equally exciting. Games like the division 2 however, get old pretty quick after seeing that same M4 that used to be a green as a yellow, especially since the perks on the weapons and armor don’t seem to matter much. Am I saying that borderlands 3 will turn out like this? No, but I am saying that you should be weary, because even though they are good developers with great track records, that doesn’t mean that whatever they shit out will be pure gold. I mean, look at destiny for example, bungie were the masterminds behind the halo series, and activision published maybe the best FPS series to date, and destiny 1 and 2 sucked ass at release! Forgive my rant, and I’m sorry if I offended you. It’s your money, do what you want with it. I personally trust bungie enough now after forsaken to say that I will preorder shadowkeep, because even if it sucks, I’ll probably still play the hell out of it with my friends like we do every Tuesday. I think destiny is headed in a great direction, and it’s probably in the best place it’s ever been, and the stuff they’ve announced for shadowkeep sounds great. Bungie FTW. I trust you. Please don’t make me look like an idiot.

Hell no! 1. I could list alot of reasons why Bungie is incompetent and has lost my trust in them. But I will just list 1 reason for now. They nerfed Lord of Wolves, nuff said. 2. Borderlands 3 is coming out. Sooo excited!! 3. Monster Hunter Iceborne. Super stoked about too!
-
It won't be me.....no, I'm done with this shit.
-
2 RepliesNo, definately not. 1) Boarderlands 3 is going to be more fun. 2) I can just play D1 for all this recycled D1 content. (Crota, Moon ect.) 3) The Bungie devs are lazy and have made d2 such a boring ridiculous grind for no reason other than play time.
-
My wallet says no, but I can’t hear it bc I’m blind
-
8 RepliesNope, saving money for a trip this december.

I'm buying regardless of how it turns out. Yeah we all got burned before and yeah I agree with all the replies but I think of it this way when I buy stuff for my games I play...is am I going to continue playing this game enough to justify paying for this dlc. I couldn't care about the story what gear they put into it all I care about is the amount of game time I'm going to invest cause if I feel like I won't be I'll not buy dlc but for me I obsessively play d2 so yeah I see a huge justifiable reason to buy shadows keep
-
6 RepliesNo. 1. Bungie's very long history of shading the truth when it comes to their DLC. 2. The ever cute "it wasn't our fault for Destiny 2! It was the EVIL [stage whisper] Activision who made us! 3. Even if I was considering, 6 months from now the price will drop by 50%. Look at Fallout 76, it's $17 after 6mos.
-
Edited by Golden: 6/12/2019 10:47:01 PMI won’t be pre-ordering but will eventually at some point but the DLC if I see that legit reviews give it a high rating 1. Bungie is good at hyping, bad at delivering 2. Other games coming out soon, so I might see those before a possibly disappointing DLC 3. I got nothin

Edited by Nell421: 6/13/2019 4:26:46 AMIt's a no from me chief. If it's good I'll buy it when it's out but on principle I think pre-ordering is pretty stupid, especially nowadays when many popular developers have proven that they can't be trusted to consistently release expansions with content of enough quantity and quality to actually be worth your money. Forsaken, for example, was good, and I'm pretty happy with the annual pass so far but imo osiris and warmind really sucked. The content was mostly boring imo, and they couldn't even be arsed to make the fight w/ xol, a worm god, into a raid/raid-like activity. I get the whole shpeal about supporting the developers and whatever, but at the end of the day I'm buying a product, not promises. My advice to everyone would be to wait and make sure they actually put enough work into the expansion to warrant receiving your hard-earned money. Plus you don't get much for pre-ordering, I think you get two-tailed fox and a new hive-themed ornament. Whoop-dee-doo, a rocket launcher that can't use one of its main perks on bosses and fires two rockets with velocity+ tracking so mediocre that they can't even kill as reliably as one single truth rocket.
-
3 RepliesDon’t pre order. Trust me if you wait for a month or 2 it will be a lot cheaper and include more stuff. Bungie has a pattern.
