Stop telling us not to infuse in the forum

If you are one of the jack wagons out there saying "derp just don't infuse until you reach max light derp" you are just not getting it. That isn't a solution or a fun way to play. It is the equivalent of shrugging at a stupid idea and saying "oh well what can ya do?" Also, just as dumb is the "infusion cores are easy to get" No, they aren't. Getting cores on a regular basis is multi-step torture: Do dumb activities on a lonely planet for ghosts. Get a dumb bounty and sit on a planet doing nothing but watching for an HVT to pop up. Hope to get a shot at at it. The bounties should be obtainable with planetary materials or glimmer. And the bounties should be in game activities or events.

  • I don’t know, I got 6 today (3 infusions, but I very rarely use cores to infuse) for doing nothing more than logging in and visiting spider right before reset, going to orbit, then visiting him again after reset. Can’t get any easier than that. Took all of 2 minutes. Ooh, how difficult and rare they are! Wowzers! Derpa, derpa..., herpa derpa.

    • Hey moron, you can use the same gear you have been using all of the endgame activities are still capped at what they were last season. As for your low level toons bungie literally gave you a handout with the bounties to get them up to 640, do all the armour ones throw your high tier weapons on them BOOM power leveled and you didn’t have to waste any cores. Think before you post on the forums.

Well if the answer isn’t to just not infuse so often, then I don’t know what it is that separates the people who rarely have cores to spare and the people like me with 400+ cores at all times, even with regularly infusing. P.S. I don’t do Spider or scrapper bounties for cores, nor have I ever done any glitches to stock up.

        • I think they're dumb, but it still doesn't mean you can't be smart about using them. If you're not gonna do any Reckoning then there's no real reason to get max light this season (at least not in a power level sense). Sure, Iron Banner this season matters for Light. But just barely. Gambit Prime doesn't. So, you can totally save your cores and just complete milestones until you're max light, then infuse your favorite gear up. If you choose to go that route. The Power Surge bounties get you high enough to do anything in Forsaken and Black Armory (stuff in Forsaken should be relatively easy at this point, too), giving you access to powerful rewards as well. So, again, if you're not doing anything really in SotD, Bungie has given you the tools to go back and now have complete access to any activity in the previous two seasons, and they're still relevant. I only run one character these days (since Warmind), so I have to be a little smart about some resource management myself. And I also just came off a month break from D2, so I have to be even more conscious about my stuff now lol.

Masterworks are a fantastic idea... That is something I think the entire Bungie forums can agree on.

I got 200 cores. I like saving them for every 10-20 light levels then I can power up some of my favorite guns or wait for max light. Its nice having plenty of cores to level up what ever I want. I don't know why people need to power up their gear every one or two light. Whatever, play how you want. If you want to be core broke, then so be it. masterworks are great! Orbs on double kills! More protection on your armor!
