If you are one of the jack wagons out there saying "derp just don't infuse until you reach max light derp" you are just not getting it.
That isn't a solution or a fun way to play. It is the equivalent of shrugging at a stupid idea and saying "oh well what can ya do?"
Also, just as dumb is the "infusion cores are easy to get"
No, they aren't. Getting cores on a regular basis is multi-step torture:
Do dumb activities on a lonely planet for ghosts.
Get a dumb bounty and sit on a planet doing nothing but watching for an HVT to pop up.
Hope to get a shot at at it.
The bounties should be obtainable with planetary materials or glimmer. And the bounties should be in game activities or events.

It’s fun for me. I enjoy having to make the choice of my favorite guns etc to power up. Maybe you should just accept people enjoy playing the game differently from you
-
It really hurts new or casual players. Removing them or limiting them to 1 per infusion isnt going to take anything away from people like me who play every day and have hundreds of them. I'm not sure why people choose to keep telling people the same things like don't infuse everything or they are easy to get.
-
You're calling me dumb for saving my cores, not infusing it to every single gear and only infusing until I max light? Convince me to use all my cores into infusing my gear to just plus 3 armor just to infuse again
-
12 RepliesTo be honest masterwork cores are quite easy to get, at any point in time u can say "lemme go grab a couple of cores" and then you go do some scrapper and boom ya done or u can go smile for spider, I usually bring out the least day of playing destiny usually on a friday or monday and just go for a enhancement core run takes maybe an hour to get like 15-20 of them. as for infusing them honestly you dont have to infuse them all the time, just leave your high level gear in your inventory and just play after a while u get a drop that matches shat you have and infuse for 5k glimmer to make life easy I collected on of every weapon i come by that has the best roll so infusion is never more than 5k glimmer away. TBH season of the drifter didn't bring much to do anyways so just keep stacking them gear and when you hit max infuse once and move on
-
2 Replies1. Don't infuse until max light. 2. This is not a fun way to play the game. I agree with you. But it is what it is, and it's not changing any time soon. So you just have to deal with it.
-
Dont infuse
-
2 RepliesYOU thinking that advice is stupid is no different than those people thinking that you infusing for every 3 to 5 light gain is stupid, except one side has plenty of cores, while the other bitches about having none.
-
2 RepliesTells people not to give advice (and calls them names), then proceed to give advice. Bungie forum logic, in a nutshell...
-
They clearly don't care that the vast majority of their players hate this part of the game.
-
6 RepliesStop telling people what to say and what not to say on the forums. And kindly refrain from calling people “jack wagons” or telling them they are “dumb” if they happen to disagree with you.

1 ReplyIt is a fundamental design flaw of Destiny that Light progression is coupled to gear; it doesn’t really help the game, only makes actually using gear more inconvenient. Costly infusion only compounds that fundamental flaw by adding more layers of obstruction between using gear and progression level. The system is indefensible, period. Workarounds to try and ignore or avoid the problem don’t actually address it, and the reality is Light Level also has inadequate impact on the game, further compounding the frustration of the situation. It’s empty progression that’s only occasionally relevant at all and even when relevant, is nothing more than an awkward numerical roadblock to content.

The problem is this is a resource that you cant grind. Scrapper bounties and legendary drops of a high enough masterwork status are unpredictable. Plus, lost sector scrapper bounties are annoying as hell. Atleast the crucible ones eventually complete themselves from normal gameplay.
-
Why would you infuse in the forum?
-
The best way to get cores is from scrapper bounties (dismantle loot, dont hoard) as well as the cheap daily cores from spider (2). Infuse armor at a 25+ light difference and weapons at a 10+ light difference ONLY. Result: No core drought or mindless grind required
-
Don't infuse in the forum.
-
Those are all you problems. Getting cores is easy.
-
I agree with there's bugger all cores and I'd love to constantly infuse my gear but there's not. The way I get around it is I have 3 sets of armour, my crucible armour with super mods/scavenger/targeting/unflinching/loader, my raid gear which is 650 power (which is more than enough light for all raids) with transcendent/rivens curse mods/reserve perks/loader perks all the pve related perks. And my final set is my highest light gear. Yes it looks ugly, yes I only use it for reckoning and legit nothin else or to flex on my clan mates who are lower light. Only thing I've been using my cores on are the occasional masterwork every now and then and occasionally my main weaps to bring them close to my max light. Point being only reason you need to infuse before max light is to bring weaps up or to make your character look good. Yeah the armour perks in reckoning are good but honestly decent fire team should make up for the one or two extra rockets you get or sniper rounds or whatever. Exotics are too low light? Reacquire they will be closer too your light.

11 RepliesBut... Infusion cores are easy to get. I don’t see how it’s a multi-step process either. It’s literally up to luck sometimes and the most amount of steps you need to take to get ECs is 3 Here are some easy methods in 3 steps or less Method 1: 1. Aquire Legendary Gear 2. Dismantle said Legendary Gear 3. Profit if it had enough tiers of Masterwork Method 2: 1. Get a Scrapper Bounty 2. Do said Scrapper Bounty 3. Profit Method 3: 1. Go to Spider 2. Buy Enhancement cores 3. Profit Method 4: 1. Do Last Wish/ SotP 2. Hope for a curated roll 3. Profit Method 5: 1. Grind for Pinnacle Weapons on other characters 2. Dismantle said Pinnacle Weapons 3. Profit

I feel your pain dude. Players like us want to level up but also want to keep our gear on so infusion is our only option. They are super hard to find and flat out expensive at the spider. It sucks bro!!!
-
4 RepliesPeople keep telling you stop infusing every goddamn item you get because it's stupid to do so. Quit being so butthurt at people helping you. Cores are easy to come by and don't dry up unless you squander them like a moron. No, it's not "fun" to infuse every time you get +1-5 light, it's pointless and stupid. YOU are wasting cores like a dumb noob. Quit blaming Bungie for making resource management a thing.
-
3 RepliesStop telling me to stop telling you to stop infusing
-
17 Repliesthere is an incredibly simple, smart, answer to your problem - Just... Stop... Playing... The... Game. Ta-Da, problem solved, intelligently. Oh and BTW, your opinion, STINKS, like a trash heap. Maybe a genius like yourself can create your own game - NOPE, whom am I kidding, lol.
-
Let's masterwork our favourite armour, then put our favourite mods and shaders on it, then be forced to wear other armour whilst we level up, taking the FUN out of the game = Bungie logic! I personally shape my armour around my play style, I make my guardians look a certain way because it's important to me, I also wanna use my favourite weapons, not one's I can't stand using, sucking the fun out of the game. This masterwork core era in Destiny isn't fun. This is just MY opinion, don't cry if you disagree.
-
1 ReplyIt’s just not an issue with people who have common sense is all. Why waste time working on cores when all you need is an IQ of 5 to be able to use them wisely. When instead they can work on actual issues with the game. It isn’t anyone’s fault you guys can’t handle a simple in game currency.
-
If people keep moaning about them, others willl keep telling you not to use them on everything.

Edited by XguyExtra: 3/12/2019 11:31:45 PMYou're trying to get cores from High Value Targets? OH NO NO NO NO NO. Maybe you should do more than stop infusing your weapons.
