I mean... Out of every single race in Sol only three of them take prisoners: the Hive, the Vex, and the awoken. The Hive do it to torture The Vex do it to learn The awoken do it to learn/it's the most humane thing to do Petra's a vengeful person, but even she held back when we took Skolas in alive, even she stayed calm when Cayde brought Pirrha into the prison (the Eliksne who's haunted the Awoken army for years now), and I have a feeling that even when she comes face to face with Variks... She'll at least give him time to explain himself before she makes up her mind
