I have no words after reading the new patch notes
21% damage nerf to Machine Guns
HUGE ammo nerf to Whisper , from 20 to 9
HUGE ammo nerf to Sleeper , from 13 to 9
Code of Juggernaut super NERF
And many many more
Why, bungie? Why?
Once again, one step forward and four steps backward.Way to keep us engaged

8 RepliesWhisperer nerf just means lunfaction boots will become irrelevant when whisperer is needed, because in this situation Darci will outdps whisperer, or whisperer will become the backburner and Darci will be the new sniper
-
Maybe they're trying to "show us who's boss" or something.
-
They want us to grind for the new weapons so they can nerf those as well!!!!!
-
I have a LFR build. No Back up mag on weapon. I got over 20 rounds for my Crooked Fang... Now it's less. Wtf.
-
1 ReplyUSE Ammo reserves on armor then!!
-
Bungie saw we were having to much fun and decide to cut it out. They dont like when we have fun with any weapons now mark my words Warcliff coil will be nerfed next month once everybody starts using that since they buff it like crazy.

Edited by ZombieQahnaarin: 3/6/2019 10:18:27 PMHuge ammo nerf to sleeper. Get a grip.

7 RepliesI think it’s because of gambit prime, but even so many nerfs were unnecessary. for example mashingun! I think they want it to be a invader weapon (ridiculous)! Bungie is destroying destiny again! btw could someone tell me why 1000voices get a buff?! It was already HELL in gambit with 1000-voices and now this!!!!!
-
The Machine gun nerf wasn't needed at all. It's a great thing to have options but now they took away a great one. People can't even say it's because MGs were the only weapons used for boss melts. Look at the insane buff to Rocket Launchers and a Grenade launchers got a great buff as well. We also got a great surprise buff to the 1K voices which was 100% needed because it was going to be left behind just like the Legend of Acrius. Shotguns in general were also buffed for PVE activities. Trace rifles also put out some great DPS after their buff!! I love the feeling of power. Why weaken one of my tools? Oh, because of the new Gambit Pinnacle LMG? Wardcliff is still more powerful. Bungie, just let me have options. Please.

Edited by Smithy: 3/6/2019 9:25:19 PM100% buff to shotguns 30% buff to trace rifles 60% buff to rocket launchers 115% (!!!) buff to Wardcliff Yeah, the total -blam!-in' nerf train here.

23 RepliesYou guys find so many nerfs to complain about. If you think the whisper nerf is big, then you need your brain checked
-
All Ammo got nerfed... Why... Wtf!
-
2 RepliesLiterally logged in today solely to try the new balance out. All of my weapons still performed exquisitely well. Even my rapid fire shotguns and Hammerhead/Thunderlord. Honestly, I actually find the slower rate of fire to be much easier to handle on the Perfect Paradox archetype. Simply put, you're all blowing the changes out of proportion. Ya'll cry about weapon diversity but piss and moan when they reign stuff in to give other weapons a fighting chance. This community baffles me about how it constantly wants a challenge but expects to kill a raid boss in like 5 shots because they're "powerful" and "legend." Make a decision. Power, or challenge. You can't have both.

The machine gun and Sleeper nerfs make sense. The Whisper nerf does too, except by how much it was. Bring it up somewhere between 11-16 and it'll be perfect.

Respectfully disagree with your stance on the changes. I think bungie and the comminuty have (for the most part) reached a healthy middle in terms of how powerful they want the weapons in destiny to be, while also keeping the sandbox full of variety. Whisper was obviously the #1 contender for a long time, and it is still an incredibly effective weapon, however now that it's much less forgiving, it'll allow players to experiment more with other dps options. I use acrius on Kalli now, for example. I don't think sleeper nerf was needed, but perhaps things seemed too good on Bungie's end during testing. Machine guns being reigned in I think was okay. Their overall versatility made them a prime choice in any instance. basically if you didn't know what to use, it was safe to pick thunderlord or hammerhead. Too safe. The DPS matched things like whisper and other favorites, while being good for ad clear and PVP damage as well. Have you used machine guns after the changes? They're still excellent. Jugg nerf is sad to see but It's not game ruining. Also you seem to have forgotten all of the buffs to other things in the patch. Trace rifles? Rockets? Nade launchers? WARDCLIFF? Thing is -blam!-ing nuts, now. After the nerfpocalypse at the end of D1 and the underwhelming nature of exotics and the sandbox in general in D2 launch, people are basically traumatised, and the term "nerf" is absolutely triggering to most players. Seriously, play the game and experience the changes for yourself. Thunderlord is still good, whisper now required consistency and skill to use reliably, and Cheesing riven is still easily doable with rockets, and now 1k voices even more! The only change that has thrown me off is the titan skating change. Gonna take some getting used to, lmao.

The nerf to sleeper and whisper can be reversed if you use the armor perks to have more. So there’s no point in being mad about that. The nerf to juggernaut isn’t that bad honestly. I just ran nightfall with it and hardly felt the difference. As for the machine gun nerf meh. Still fun to use and the pinnacle one buffs damage crazy with 166 in the mag. That actually might be why they got nerfed. Not sure
-
2 Repliesisnt the whisper nerf not a nerf? it HAS infinite ammo...
-
if you hate destiny go on anthem get your ban ! thanks you ! -blam!-ing toxic player !!!!
-
They buffed the Coil to the point that it can one-shot Nokris. So, what was the point of nerfing everything else? Now, everyone will use Coil, until some neckbeards complain again and they'll nerf it.
-
Yeah, -blam!- them. "We're listening" my ass
-
2 RepliesThe nerfs even go as far as the armor perks, MG reserves used to be + 65 rounds, sleeper +4, etc. So not only did they nerf the weapons damage, they reduced the total amount of ammo you can carry, and THEN nerf the armor perk that would have made up for the reduced reserves amount. This is pretty ridiculous, and that's only a fraction off all the bull💩 we're having to put up with.
-
because those were the only guns you used
-
I wish you could get nerfed. Soyboy
-
1 ReplyYou people have lost your -blam!-ing minds. MGs are still superb and they have pretty much already taken over gambit prime. I also know for a fact that most of you aren’t using sleeper if you have whisper. Also, the ammo changes won’t effect you if you already have gear with sniper reserves.
-
PvE nerfs blow my mind. Lol, remarkably unnecessary.

1 ReplySo did anyone else notice this? https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/251217524/0/0 Odd "coincidence" if I do say so myself...
