10 RepliesWhen I see hunters om Xbone, I usually see them rocking bows, bygones- Luna's and Wardcliff, or some forge weapons. Rarely do i see them rock a shotgun. On xbone, since my first game so far ... I have seen Titans using shotgun slide mechanics 90% of the time along with their OHK melee. They literally rush into a 1 v 2, OHK melee one and shotgun the other while wearing OEM. And so far in these forums I have seen nothing but titan mains crying. Stop hating on hunters. We don't have a OHK melee ability that is precise. Yes the arc melee on middle tree can do it but it has no aim. Stop relying on shotguns and switch your loadout up. FFS. I got the annual pass cause I am sick of using my trust and bygones for now. I wanma switch it up to other guns. But it was impossible given the shotgun range meta. I am happy as to where they went with it as now when I damage a rusher it'll actually count. Yes I backpeddle, yes I aim at their heads- but before the body damage was ridiculous in a game where I supposedly have god like armor. Whomever is sad about the shotgun nerf needs to change their loadout, learn new weapons, and enjoy other aspects of this game. [spoiler]I myself refused to use the shotgun meta and forced myself to get better with pulses and hc's, now I want to get better with snipers and bows and autos. [/spoiler]

A wild titan has appeared thinking that titans are best... Warlocks are the best... And yes I am a hunter main, and I rarely play warlock, but I can confirm they are better in many ways. The reason I theorise people see mostly hunters with the meta is because the jump ability on hunters is widely understood by gamers from practically any other game. And thus they choose hunter because its the easiest for a beginner to understand, believe it or not last year was the first time I made a warlock in the entirety of d2 and in d1 my first character was a warlock, I was on track to become a warlock main, I was a warlock because of how my friend explained all the classes to me to persuade me to get the game, But there was an issue, I couldn't use the jump ability, I tried a hunter liking the look of the class and realising that the hunters jump was easy to use and understand for a noob like me I stuck with it, it was only when d1 was coming to a close that I got on my warlock and tried to figure it out. I watched a tutorial, yes a tutorial, and only after that was I able to understand, however, I knew hunter like the back of my hand, it was second nature... And that's why I'm a hunter main... Shotguns are noob friendly weapons and if it wasn't for my complete lack of skill with every special weapon ever I would be a shotgun crutch, shotguns and hunters both being easy for noobs to understand means that new players are more likely to admit to that playstyle; And this is why we must stop the hunter hate, if you were a new player you would surely choose the easiest thing for you to use... That was my theory on why hunters are popular and why most hunters use shotguns... If you have read through all of that, you have my eternal approval...

Apeing with a shotgun isn’t a hunter only thing, hell on pc you see titans doing it a lot more because of the skating and I imagine it’d be the same way on console as well if they didn’t take skating out... because that’s what it was like back in D1... those were dark days. And every player will always cry about something, it’s just a shame that all hunter mains have to deal with the bias that we all cry nerf all the time. Don’t forget about titans and lock mains crying about bb and spectral or hunters and titans crying about warp and now dawnblade, or hunters and locks crying about OEM. People will always be upset about something and guess what? Not only hunters are crying about the shottie nerfs, everyone is, and titans are crying about the OEM nerf (a nerf btw that is incredibly balanced and long overdue unlike what they did to warlocks).
