When You Argue that Cores Are Not A Problem.....

....You're basically doing the same to a PVE player as telling a PVP player to "Shut up and play the meta." ...and allowing Bungie to get away with the same as telling a PVP player "We have no plans to re-balance the sandbox.....ever." I've tried to explain the issue of build variety from a PVE perspective, and some of you clearly either don't understand it....or don't accept it. Content to run builds of only the pinnacle (meta) weapons. So now I'm trying to make the point from a PvP perspective. One of the biggest reasons PvP players complain about playing the meta in the Crucible is because: Rigid meta reduce build variety and play style variety. Forcing everyone to play the same weapons and the same style, or pay a competitive penalty. They occur because the combination of the sandbox, map designs and game modes give one particular loadout and one particular play style a major advantage over everything else. Well the core economy does the same thing by limiting the ability to infuse gear. BY DENYING PEOPLE ACCESS TO THE CORES NECESSARY TO INFUSE IN A MANNER PROPORTIONATE TO TIME INVESTMENT, BUNGIE IS BASICALLY FUNNELING EVERYONE INTO PLAYING THE SAME PINNACLE WEAPONS, AND PLAY STYLES ENFORCED BY THOSE WEAPONS. Or else pay a power----play---penalty. Can a PvP player just "shut up and play the meta"? Sure. If he or she is willing to accept a narrow and limited play experience. Can a PVE player just "shut up and play the pinnacle weapon builds"? Sure.....but once again..... ...if he or she is willing to accept a narrow and limited play experience. Because Bungie has sabotaged their own game to the point that they are murdering what little inherent depth the game has.

The one thing I really want to know is... How will removing cores from infusion DISADVANTAGE any of the people arguing that they aren't an issue, or that have hundreds in their inventory already? I'll wait here. Edit: I think a lot of people are mistaking the argument here. No-one is saying cores are hard to acquire. We're saying they're tedious to acquire and that there's also a certain amount of RNG involved. If I have 4x 650 chest pieces... But they all have shit perks, why does it cost me cores to swap a number from that item to another item with better perks? Cores for infusion is a mechanic designed to increase playtime, and it's simply not needed. When I hit Max Power level I'm not going to suddenly stop playing. So far the only responses I've received basically say "they're easy to get", "play more", "you want a free handout", "you don't understand how the EC economy works". These responses couldn't be farther from the truth. I understand precisely how the EC economy works, so the responses crying about "you don't understand how to use them" is ignorance at its unmitigated finest. Again... And for the people with a very loose understanding of English, I'll post the definition of "Disadvantage" disadvantage /dɪsədˈvɑːntɪdʒ/ noun 1. an unfavourable circumstance or condition that reduces the chances of success or effectiveness. So. How is ANYONE disadvantaged?
