I got into 3 separate unfair games. 1) A 3 v 4 stack. 2) A game against 2 people with the Luna's Howl and one was in a 3 stack 3) I got into a game with a team with almost all Luna's Howls and and it was a 3 stack. I'm utterly confused. Perplexed. Distraught. What is wrong with whatever it is and how can it be fixed so I can climb. I love the game but this is too far.

Edited by FrenetiCreature: 1/29/2019 6:07:22 PMAccording to the forums, being placed against 4 stacks happens more often than not, and it means a guaranteed loss. So then, all of your W/L ratios should reflect that, by being significantly less than 50/50, around 40%, right? Can anyone show proof that they have a W/L closer to 40%? If there are any, I'm willing to bet that they're very few and far between. I'm also willing to bet that you'd almost have to purposely be sabotaging matches to get it that low, because Bungie's system is designed to keep you at 50%. Bungie's catch-up mechanics and matchmaking determine your overall W/L. A stacked team may beat you a little worse than a team of randoms will, but you were already slated to lose, and would have no matter who you were playing Back when I was in a clan, often we would team up and play. Whenever we did, our W/L was still always right around 50%. Also, whenever I play against stacked teams, as a random, it's the same. I seem to win and lose about 50% of the time against them. I'm willing to bet it's perception. You just notice losing against 4-stacks more, because they probably beat you a little quicker, or by more points, than a team of randoms would've. Anyway, if you lost, it's because your number was up, according to Bungie's system. Whether the game decided to throw you into the end of a losing match, against a 4-stack, or it could've even been just another team of randoms that smashed you, you were already supposed to lose.

Yup... I love the dick-weeds running around with Luna and OEM. You know what’s better than that? When the whole 4 stack has Luna’s or NF... straight to F’n orbit when they show up with that easy mode nonsense.

1 ReplySo because somethings not going your way it’s broken ?

6 RepliesLmfao So, I solo'ed 90% of the Luna grind. Guess what, I came across the same bs. Very often, VERY VERY often. The old saying goes. Get gud. Excuse making is just a bs way to blame others.
-
3 RepliesPeople have lunas at lower ranks because the ranks reset from last.
-
Bewitched, bothered, and bewildered are you
-
4 RepliesI have a Luna (as do many of my friends), we all suck! Honestly, having a good gun does not make you a good player. I have the aiming skills of an Imperial Stormtrooper!
-
3 RepliesI got matched in a 2v4 matched. I stood there and did the high 5 emote with the other team because it was so ridiculous.

Edited by MC 077 Lasombra: 1/28/2019 6:16:20 PMThe only vaguely unfair thing you bitched about was the 3 v 4. Take your loss and move on. You’re a moron if you think mm should or would take into account what guns someone uses. If you can’t handle the game don’t play it.

5 RepliesOk, stay where you are and try to remain calm, I have called you a waaaambulance. Please let us know if you would like a waaaamburger and French cries too. 👍

Just stop playing Comp. I know that's not what you want to hear, but the playlist is in such a terrible state that it's not worth the trouble. The people in charge of Comp at Bungie don't seem to care either considering we haven't heard from them.
-
You can't balance a game mode by disallowing a specific gun, especially since it comes from comp.

1 ReplyYesterday I played 3 COMP matches (on the grind for Luna) and out of those 2 of them were 2 vs 4 The first match we loaded in with 2 players (perhaps the other 2 left while flying in?). So instead of the game just being called, me and one other player had to suffer through a bunch of rounds. Next game 4 vs 4 but completely lopsided matchmaking (but hey, at least it was a match). Last game started 4v4 but 2 people on my team left early on... so once again bullshit. I rage quit out during the final round. Don't care if I got a ban or not. Games are suppose to be fun but this shit is NOT fun. Not sure if I will continue the Luna's grind or not but as it is, it is utterly ridiculous! Pinnacle Raid weapon, RNG ... Pinnacle Crucible weapon RIDICULOUS quest.. Yeah, great job there Bungie (and by great I mean worst idea ever!)

1 ReplyFirstly there’s no tiers in the game (bronze, silver, gold) so you’re stuck playing players who’ve been to fabled and beyond in previous seasons. Trying to get Luna’s while facing full teams of Luna’s isn’t fun. But I’d imagine the population in this game just isn’t high enough. 615k players in crucible yesterday. 25k an hour across the world. Once you take regions into account, that’s really not many playing. The game does nothing to take skill (KD or win loss) into account. I’ve had games of 8 solos where the best 4 are obviously put together on one team. Why is there no algorithms to look at KD etc to even up the teams? Or you’ll have 2 fireteams of 2 vs 4 solos. Why didn’t it split up those 2 fireteams of 2? Shows a complete lack of effort put into the matchmaking systems. Then of course there are stacks vs solos. There’s massive imbalance in crucible. Nova warp and spectral blades are absolutely the two best supers in crucible. Both last too long and can team wipe. Meanwhile it takes two direct titan hammers at the least to kill them, but both of those supers will one shot the titan. Shotguns are OP in crucible, but nothing has been done. Too much range and too much special ammo on maps that favour close to medium range combat. Sure, spend the match standing back shooting when you’ve got objective and see how far that gets you. Dustrock Blues, Luna’s, Wardcliff. The meta. Luna’s should have been exotic for a start. They seem completely inept at making a fair, fun and balanced PvP mode. But with such a small population, why bother? I’ve pretty much given up on Luna’s because along with all of these things wrong with crucible, I just don’t have the skills.

12 RepliesLFG a team. Comp is designed for 4v4 so you’d be better playing with people and communicating than going alone. Luna isn’t actually a great team shot gun so if your 4 stack all ran Ace for instance, you’d be at the advantage in team shot scenarios.

Comp is for for teams
-
Working as intended. Signed: Bungie
-
In my opinion the only problem with comp is the game loading you in a 3v4 or a 2v4 game it’s happened to me so many times it’s honestly annoying to say the least. 95% of the time that’s a guarantee loss. Also -blam!- people who quit after losing one -blam!-ing round, it’s multiple rounds mode for a reason

47 RepliesIt's staggering how many people on the forums are fine with comp the way it is. I mean, have they actually never played ANY competitive game in their lives? You don't pit the best players against the worst in competitive, you pit them against people of their own skill. That is LITERALLY why primarily competitive games have "quickplay" or "casual" or any variation of the word. And even then those game modes still don't pit top tier players against the bottom. Either Bungie should make comp more in line with what the word means or they should take out losing points when you lose. I've yet to see anyone make an actual argument defending comp. They literally always go with the "git gud" "just don't play comp" "you're just bad" "just play with a group" ect. That's not an argument or a solution that's you being a dick that doesn't want to think.

14 RepliesScrew the lunas stack let's talk about these hunter Scum with there everlasting spectral blades
-
The uneven teams are understandable, but if somebody has Luna’s Howl or Not Forgotten I don’t think that’s a substantial reason to screw with somebody’s matchmaking.

You got this 👍

I estimate I’ve lost about 500 glory points on outnumbered matches alone. Same yesterday. I had three matches in about 6 games that started outnumbered. 3v4, 2v4, 3v4. I ended up in one game 1v4. On the 2v4 one I just quit out. I’m not gonna spend 8 minutes for a guaranteed loss. I even told the teammate “sorry but I’m backing out cause I’m not wasting my time.” Only once have I One a match where we had less. I was quite proud cause it was against a 4 stack and some had Luna’s. But that’s mission impossible and only happened once. But at this stage it’s just beyond silly because the matchmaking puts you in a hole plus games become a futile waste of time. And you’re already in a whole cAuse when that doesn’t happens you’re matched with tactically bad players, ones that flip spawns, take flags they shouldn’t take, won’t help you control the heavy etc.

Edited by ScottF 2112: 1/28/2019 9:00:29 PMThis supports my earlier post. I have almost exactly the same solo win % this guy mentions. In my case it is in Gambit, D1 PVP and D2 PVP and is around 40% (I stay out of comp because I'm not a great PVP player and don't have a team). This guys shows that while he was also winning about 40% as a solo, he won close to 90% as a 4 stack when not facing other full teams. This is how PVP and Gambit work. They are team games that aren't going to be a lot of fun for average or so PVP people playing solo who expect to win. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/akop1i/i_tracked_my_glory_rank_from_0_to_5450_here_is/

First of all your 500 glory, low rank comp isn't that hard, grab a lfg team or grind it solo, second, people with lunas in low rank comp don't know how to aim so it doesn't matter what they have, third, yes, it's annoying to be in a 3v4 but at a low rank it's pretty easy to clutch up and carry the team through 3v4 comp games.
