I don’t hope anthem puts bungie out of business, but I hope they have to take a fiscal loss for the next 2-3 years because of anthem. I hope anthem takes and kills Destiny’s playerbase overnight. I hope bungie has to do something they haven’t done in 4 years: put effort and care into their work. These lazy, money hungry fûcks have been skating by on minimal effort since d2’s launch and I cannot wait for the new asshole the free market is going to tear into them.
Take notes bungie, you better start making the gambler’s wild fan-fûcking-tastic, because that will be the last thing I try of yours after anthem is out and if it sucks, you won’t see a penny more from me.
Edit: I don’t care about EA as a company or their micro transactions, bungie is just as bad with eververse. I’m excited about destiny having a competition in its own genre. Competition means developers will feel more obligated to provide more quality content at more frequent rates. IE, we get better games because of it.

LMFAO YOU THINK THAT CASUAL TRASH BIN WILL SURVIVE, YOU ARE CRAZY no PvP, extremely repetitive boring gameplay. no PvP. yanno, what gives games longevity?
-
3 RepliesAnthem has no pvp.
-
People say this about literally every game ever. It’s still going.
-
Bruh I've seen the one boss fight they've dared to show and... boring larger version of enemy that hides at certain health points... sound familiar? It's the worst part of D1 strikes combined with the worst part of D2. I guarantee you any game like this will have a learning curve for the devs. I give it a week before you're all complaining on that forum.

Winter is coming

Edited by Solarvoidlock: 1/6/2019 10:24:06 AMLet's see how much content it will have in the beginning. I assume not much and I'd be bored after a week or two. Then we might have to wait for more content for months. I hope (but doubt) it's gonna be like Destiny 1 was for me when I started playing it in The Dark Below era. I really liked it and stayed an avid player until Destiny 2 where I never bought a single DLC and quit the franchise over a year ago, because it felt off and Bungie became lazier.

Eh. Live service, shared world games are all halfassed nonsense to me that try to be two different things while doing neither justice. Player to player interaction is always mediocre, content is generally mediocre, story is mediocre, and relies on an unnecessary amount of grinding instead of making a genuinely fun experience in order to get people to keep playing. These games as they are I can only stand a couple times of, and even with rewards it doesn't feel worth it. Destiny rn is guilty of this. Spend all this time and it feels not only boring but meaningless as well, and all for the sake of trying to make players spend more time than they need to for noo good reason. I've played Bloodborne, MHW, and Dark Souls individually for more hours each than all live service games I've played together. Their repetition doesn't do well to pull me in as much as they want it to. If I didn't already play everything I have, I wouldn't even bother with Destiny.

4 RepliesOne more anthem post and i quit this forum

2 RepliesAh, remember the division?

Too much hype is bad

Antem looks like hot garbage

Pride comes before the fall.

Why can't we all just play more than one game and be happy that there are more than one game we can play? Competition is good for games, and we can't have competition if there is only one game.
-
17 RepliesYou're runing the game for yourself btw, hyping it up so much that even if it's great it'll never live up to the expectations you've created
-
5 RepliesA) if you think Bungie doesn't put effort into Destiny, you must not have played any of Forsaken B) Anthem will not kill Destiny at all, no question about that

3 RepliesWe all know what's going to happen.
Nothing
I'm not pre ordering learned that with destiny 2 all tho i still play destiny 2. As for anthem it looks like warframe just a better version i play warframe every so few months. Play for the story or dlcs Digital extremes make that's about it an from what i heard about anthem i might just do the same.

4 RepliesCan't wait for the army of disappointed people because those fools overhyped themselves.
-
I sadly actually agree with this post

20 RepliesAside from weather it will be good and EA blah blah blah. Anthems main selling point to me is no PvP, which means way more class variation, interesting builds and hopefully mega powerful weapons, I'm going try it out but yet to be seen if it's a good game.
-
Ever since Anthem was revealed I believed it was going to flop. I still hold that belief.
-
4 RepliesI’m hoping that all gamers have learned from the past couple years to STOP pre-ordering games! There have been many over-hyped flops, but the studios don’t care because pre-order sales were great. They got our money before we even played and realized it sucks. All most all of them are in the 5$ bin in the electronic sections of my base stores lol

3 RepliesEdited by CatMan: 1/3/2019 5:23:30 PM🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that tittle!!!! Edit: I'm buying, but I know that the game will start off good.....then they'll release the microtransactions weeks later....just like rdr2 did, killing any enjoyment you (me) may have have had.

4 RepliesBungie has two other competitors to destiny already, they’re called the division and warframe. You’re putting too much faith in anthem, because what you’re preaching now people preached before the division came out. Also, bungie never implemented exotics or useful gear into eververse, and they have never made it so that you can only progress your characters through eververse. Those are both things EA are known to do with their micro transactions. The reason people dislike EA now is because they said FU to their old reputation for the sake of cash. Yes the first 3 mass effects were good(ish) and the first two dead spaces were awesome, but EA has forgotten how to make games like that. Why do you think battlefront 2 is still sorta shit? Why do you think I personally dislike battlefield loot boxes? It’s because in both cases the micro transactions were put before actual gameplay, and that’s what is likely going to happen with anthem, and it might even be the reason anthem won’t have PvP. The division 2 is currently looking like it’ll be a bigger threat to destiny as a franchise than anthem. So give up the idea that anthem will hurt destiny.

2 RepliesEdited by AnCapaillMor: 1/3/2019 10:40:54 AMI want anthem to be good, i don't know why but i've a feeling its going to be another Evolve, great idea but very 1 dimensional. I hope i'm wrong. Plus i've heard the exact same destiny killer for the division, no mans sky, andromeda etc etc. Last year i might've been in the hope hope they fail camp but for me they hit the ball out of the park with forsaken and everything after, sure forge is not forsaken level but i'm liking the staggered release of content.

2 RepliesEdited by piratepatchy243: 1/3/2019 1:17:50 PMI don't get these posts, and they're already on that track with Bungie themselves at the helm. I'm looking forward to what Anthem will have to offer, the situations they've been in is very reminiscent of Destiny though. Doesn't help they're under EA while they're conducting quite a shitshow, sure it could blow Destiny out but only because it's a weak ass flame.
