Shotguns Are Broken OP Garbage
I'm sure every meatshot scrub is going to come in and say 'durr, hurr, git gud! (I'm so witty! No one has EVER said 'git gud' before! I'm an insult MASTER! I'll use it on the playground at school tomorrow!)'
But seriously. Shotguns:
Require no aim (They can do all their damage from hip-fire)
Which means you can sprint and slide and double-jump nonstop because you never need to ADS
Thereby screwing up the aim of, you know, weapons that take skill to land a shot
And thus reward you for being a spaz with a oneshot to the body.
Snipers at least have to aim for the head; a small target, to get a oneshot.
Shotguns? Act like you froze, crushed, and snorted red bull, and be rewarded with free kills to the torso without aiming. So long as you can SEE the enemy, they die.
-blam!-ing no skill meatshot scrubguns should not be in PvP without a major rehaul.
What is the point of using ANY gun that requires aim and timing and -blam!-ing SKILL when you can zip around like a 12 year old on crack, poke people in the torso ONCE, and win?
Oh right; Bungie does not give a -blam!-. They have our money, they have their shitty little Everpurse. Who cares if PvP is a broken, hacker-filled, unbalanced joke?

Or you could learn to not whine and just kill the no skill weapon. I shut down shotguns with primaries all the time.

You start with 2 rounds and if you miss you die. Maybe go play COD if you can't stand the heat.

8 RepliesYeah, they are terrible op guns, honestly the only people I see use them are people who suck at the game, so there is that knowledge that by not using them, you are better at the game then the sucker who has to slide shotgun you or they'd never get any kills. Pity the people who use shotguns, its better to pity them.

Don't play quickplay , let quickplay die from lack of player base , play anything but .. I don't have issues with any other PVP mode , that has more 1v1 gun battles , less players on a map , leads to shot gun guys not able to close the gap on unsuspecting players who are either engaged in a fight or are damaged and weakened .. That's where these guys feast , running the edges of the maps , sliding and killing unsuspecting players during a choatic match

1 ReplyNo, shotguns can take a backseat when it comes to higher levels of comp, which is an entirely different demon. Telesto and wavesplitter , coupled with one eyed mask and hunters left and right, comp can go -blam!- itself. You either die at the hands of telesto or play long enough to wield one. Not complaining, more annoyed there is zero diversity.

Shotguns have stupid range. I hate getting spammed twice with full auto at stupid ranges. Full auto shotgun should have much less range.
