Im so sick and tired of these being in infusion. You literally cant use any of the gear you want because as soon as you get a powerful gear drop 1 light higher than what you have, you have to use it because otherwise you cant do endgame activities. I JUST WANT TO USE THE STUFF I WANT TO USE!!!
lets start a revolt
Edit: wow this blew up, hopefully we can actually remove masterwork cores from infusion
Edit #2: I want to use the stuff I enjoy, not some random legendary that is absolute garbage

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BUNGIE, PLEASE. Just so people can just stop posting about it. Most importantly, get rid of the cores for infusion. This is the state of accomplishing things in the game... BUNGIE has a big box of Legos, and they dumped it all over creation and now we gotta clean the $hitt up! I AM LEGEND!!! Destiny is YOUR life. NOT OURS.

Yes, please get rid of them for infusion. Keep them for masterworks. You will still need a bunch of them to masterwork weapons and armor. This is a lame and artificial way to make getting high level gear a challenge. And to those that say play the game, give me a break. It still is challenging to get these cores even if you play everyday. I understand that Bungie wants to make infusion more of a choice but masterwork cores are out of balance. Too many needed and not enough opportunity to get them.

Edited by WiggletonBandit: 12/11/2018 4:33:40 PMThe problem with cores is there are few reliable guaranteed ways to get them in a reasonable time frame. Like most of the things people are currently complaining about it has to due with a the slow tedious grind for them which is largely governed by pure RNG. This is different than every other material in the game, and doesn't feel like it respects the player's time. Just compare obtaining other infusion materials to Cores: Glimmer - Guaranteed drop from killing anything, chests, purchasable bounties, etc. Legendary Shards - Guaranteed drop from breaking down any legendary item which have lots of guaranteed drops. Weapon Parts - Guaranteed drop from breaking down any weapon or armor piece. Planetary Materials - Guaranteed from planetary chests, resource nodes, bounties, etc. Cores - RNG drop from dismantling level 4 or higher MW weapons, level 3 or higher MW armor, or drop from RNG matterweave or scrapper bounty when dismantling legendary gear. Aside from the 2-3 you can buy from Spider daily before they become cost prohibitive, and the handful of his weekly bounties, many of which require standing around waiting for an RNG HVT to show up there are no guaranteed ways to obtain them in a set time frame. People generally aren't complaining about playing the game or grinding for the stuff they want (aside from maybe the RNG items needed for titles). If I run out of any other material I know exactly where to get it and about how long it will take me to get enough to do whatever I need. If I run out of Cores I don't know how long it will take me to farm enough for what I need. Could be minutes, could be hours.

Im lucky that Im hoarding around 100 E Core. I use it a lot now for infuse. The new drop mostly terrible and I already have several good roll weapons and gears. I prefer upgrading their LL than use the new drop. Now im at around 70 E core and one more thing, now Glimmer feels more important. Infusing and MW are expensive eh....
-
If if cost less to infuse based on the masterwork lvl of the gear being used I think it would be more viable. Example. Masterwork lvl 1 arms infused into gear you want costs 2 cores. Masterwork lvl 3 arms infused into gear you want costs 1 core. Fully masterwork arms infused into gear you want costs 0 cores

3 RepliesIt's sad that it's taken over 5 years for bungie to figure out a proper leveling/infusion system. I can't wait for the circus thats going to be D3🙄
-
Agree 100%. These are just there to stretch the content. Along with RNG Power levelling.
-
There not so hard too get, you can’t just infuse everything all the time it’s a game that progresses with time an you either follow or get left behind it’s really simple grind too get ahead or don’t play
-
More like RNG cores
-
4 RepliesYou only see these posts during power level increases and only because those posting aren't smart enough to stock up ahead of time.
-
26 RepliesHow do you need more cores? Before going on a masterwork spree I was over 100. They drop everywhere and half the bounties drop them

Edited by themirror2man: 12/11/2018 11:49:51 PMI agree, [been back on d2 for maybe 2 months?] The core enhancement process for upgrading the POWER of gear sucks😳, but using cores for MASTERWORKING gear I don't mind. I would just want to power up the gear I want and save my cores for what I really want masterworked. Although,... fans did bi@#h that There wasn't enuff end game grind right?... I don't like some stuff but it's pretty grindy now.
-
You don’t even have a 600 character what end game activity are you doing?
-
-
Cores are way down on the bottom of the list for me, so many other areas that need sorting. I’m really not using that many cores to notice.
-
My guardian looks like a potato not just in black armory.... But since forsaken U must find one gear set with perks u want and with best power level This is just impossible So i chose perks and power over looks And it sucks
-
This is why we all look like hobos. I got so much mis-matched gear on I look like a clown.

2 RepliesThey’re a valuable part of the economy in the game.
-
5 RepliesIve got over 100. Play the game....
-
And then when you do get the armor you want, they raise the power cap...
-
The enhancement-core economy makes it a choice between leveling and the gear I love using. That’s never been a choice before in Destiny and is downright poor UX. I got to 600 by using whatever dropped and hated it. At 600, I had my fave weapons and armor, and I finally spent on mods and tiers. I’m not vaulting that gear, and I’m not sure I’ll bother to grind it to 650 because this economy is so miserable. A simple solution here would be making cores always cost 10 shards. The daily multiplier on core cost is just a dick move and is a big part of what makes the economy player-unfriendly.

I remember watching the pre Forsaken Vidoc, and I believe the Core requirememt for infusion was not mentioned or shown at all. Plus the last thing we were tasked with doing for the Moments of Triumph was Masterwork our armor. Seems like Bungie had some people purge their stock before Forsaken released. They could have been a little more generous and lowered the requirement to 1 core per infusion, even leaving it 3 per exotic and it would have been a good middle ground between grind and accessibility.

1 ReplyShouldn't be infusing anything until max light but ok, waste the cores works well
-
Agreed
-
2 RepliesYou just got to wait till at least max light I look like a trash can right now but once I get the full raid set I’ll ride it out until I get 650 set then infuse for no cores
