Another weapon that nobody asked for nerfs for. Oh well, I can't say it's that surprising. I'm glad I at least got a couple of weeks with it before it got turned into glorified weapon parts.

2 RepliesHell... I got mine only a few weeks ago, and I had to grind 36 (!!) escalation protocols before I could get my hands on it. And now they nerf it? All this time wasted... What will be the next move? Nerf the Malfeasance? The Ace of Spades? Or why not nerf the Luna's Howl or Not Forgotten? (Although I don't care, as I don't and will never have those). The nerf policy is back. And as a compensation we get useless "pinnacle" (read: crappy) weapons. Damn you Bungie.

It's only purpose is to make it so they can't zerg the Prime Evil in gambit. PVP needs to be removed entirely from this game. Only sweaty try hards with no other games in their collection play it. It's only other use is weekly upgrades for guardians trying to level their light level. Most of those people go AFK during PVP. P2P PVP that is easily hackable in 2018...…/sigh Whoever is running the show over there at Bungie is -blam!-ing up. These raids you create are amazing and you need to invest more resources into them. Keep on focusing on PVP and watch the amount of people playing dwindle. Oh yea...that's already happening because that's exactly what you are doing. *Downvote train incoming. I forgot being a whiny brat that always cries for nerfs is the cool thing to be now and that facts hurt people. These people are gonna be back here complaining about something else once they realize Ikelos wasn't the issue. The next step will be making it so melting point and empowering don't stack and then the 10% taken damage mod won't work on the boss. Then they will nerf Sleeper more and then 1k voices.

Definitely because of the gambit whiners, took me 30 goes start to finish to get it, such a shame. Why would anyone want nerfs in PvE is beyond me.

3 RepliesBut no pvp nerf, go figure ..... It's just about pointless to grind for any weapon in this game as it will eventually be nerfed, but they will hand you a Thunderlord that takes no effort to get.

7 RepliesI see some people saying to just melee again after firing three shots. The thing is, this nerf destroys the weapon's DPS potential, which is what made it such a strong performing gun in the first place. This 'nerf' only would've been acceptable if they had increased the damage buff of Trench barrel.

I've always felt that if you wanna cheese n glitch then do it. If you want a challenge then do it. The lack of that option in the game and the overbearing thought that anytime the fun your having could be halted is BS. Real life sucks enough, and a lot of ppl just play to see stuff get melted. Sometimes, after a stressful day I wanna watch it burn. When I time it right and punch that boss after it's annoying stomp, I feel like a hell demon, eyes burning with fury...TEWNG TEWNG TEWNG TEWNG TEWNG.... Checking that health bar TEWNG TEWNG TEWNG....DEAD AF exacting swift justice to the boss that defied my divine presence in it's pathetic room. Yeah I punch it's carcass sometimes, watch it jiggle. Now, that simple joy has been jackbooted by some bean counter at the campus, picking his toes and comparing the scent to cheese.

Really, is it so bad? And why the hell is everyone concerned with ikelos with this perk right now, anyway? There is already a new shotty with rapidfire and trench barrel coming you can work toward in season 5. They aren't CHANGING ikelos. They are changing trench barrel. Who gives a shit about the time you spent in EP? I grinded for it like everyone else, and I could care less, because I'm not ass at using ANYTHING else. I bet a lot of people complaining right now have never used an smg, the right way. No idea what kind of potential a weapon might have if you have always used the same one everyone else was because they told you it was the only thing that matters. Make your own meta, and stop being trash. Just because something works really well doesn't mean it's the only option, and I garauntee that's what this, along with other nerfs, have always been about. It isn't fun with same weapon(s) contantly. And if they DO Nerf pinnacle weapons in general? Good. Less things for people to flood the market with where you can buy a Luna's or NF. Because that, children, is the true pay to win. And it is being vigorously ignored. You should all be up in arms about paid for recovs, not ONE perk you have to rely on.
