So it turns out that the guy killed was'a good guy with a gun' who stopped the shooter from firing more shots, the cops shoot him in the face instead and refuse to get him first aid while the real shooter got away and is still at large...
This guy was active duty military home for the holiday....

1 ReplyNotice the NRA, and their supporters, aren't jumping to this guy's defense.

Nerf the police
NERF EM!
1 ReplyIf I was a cop I would hate the 2nd amendment

3 RepliesYes but the solution here is obviously more guns not less. If the other good guy bystanders also had guns this would never of happened. When the police tried to shoot the good guy with a gun trying to shoot the bad guy with a gun the good guy bystanders with guns could of shot the guns out of the hands of the police trying to shoot the good guy with a gun trying to shoot the bad guy with the gun. This is just common sense. Also I propose the gubbermint hand out “good guy” hats to all the good guys and “bad guy” hats for all the bad guys.

Very sad, I remember reading about similar shooting about a month ago. A security guard who intervened and shot a perp got killed by police. I am not justifying the actions of this police officer but you should not jump to conclusions that fast. Not every cop is a trigger happy racist. Most of them are underpaid and overworked. On average they spent about 5-6 months in the academy and after they are are paired with TOs, they are out there patrolling streets with a loaded weapon and general public expect them to perform miracles. Loss of life is tragic but these accusations and speculations are just fueling this already existing problem.

33 RepliesAnd the more people you have running around with guns, the more likely things like this are to happen. Especially if you are a person of color.

9 RepliesYour cops are a joke. Slack jawed trigger happy muppets who shoot first ask later coz it's their god given right yeehaw.
-
2 RepliesIt's fun to watch the right/left bash each other for a week and then completely forget this ever happened.

more guns wouldve solved this easily
-
It's all part of the plan, don't be surprised when we see much more of this.

3 RepliesA better article about the shooting would have been nice instead of the biased article you posted that talks more about "good guy with a gun" rather than the shooting itself....

1 Replyinb4 womp womp But on a more serious note: The Bystander Effect overall is something that is part of most cultures on Earth. When something that defies that effect happens, something like this is more bound to happen than a satisfying outcome because of stress and having to think on the fly. Rather than giving everyone guns (which is easily one of the worst ideas to ever be conceived, much more so than canned oxygen), we should invest in education and move to bring some sort of gun control (inb4 triggered gun owners jump on this point) to the table that satisfies both sides while not stepping on the toes of people and offending them at the same time. I know that given the current social and political climate in the US, there is probably a higher chance of me winning the Mega Millions and Powerball on the same day at the same time than this idea ever happening, but it's an idea that should at least be considered as an option.

Well... That’s sad...

It's clear from the last two incidents that in the eyes of the police there is no such thing as a 'good guy with a gun' - anyone with a gun is a bad guy and if they're also black then they are a shoot-to-kill bad guy.

Yeah this kinda stuff is why I'm not for the "give everyone a gun" approach... People doped up on adrenaline don't make great judgement calls and just see other dudes with guns and it turns into a ballroom blitz and the girl in the corner says boy I wanna warn ya it'll turn into a ballroom blitz
