You are at a fine power level for the old Leviathan, Eater of Worlds, or Spire of Stars raids, but wait until you are close to maxing before attempting Last Wish.
-
Time. If all I had to do all day was play video games I would be more than happy to help others. Tbh I don't mind if if there is one or two gaurdians at the max that are new. I just don't want to spend hours at each encounter. I already did that with group when we were learning it.

instead of posting in a thread thats looking for players. Create your own post acknowledging you need help completing the Raid.
-
Because some people want to just get it done and not worry about teaching. Looking at your light, it’s 546. If you’re talking about last wish, it’s because you’re too low. If you’re talking about anything on the leviathan, who knows.

4 RepliesCuz no one owes you anything.

Edited by JzstNo: 11/19/2018 6:13:09 PMBeing 546 is taking the mick if you wanna do last wish. You will be guardian down for 98% of it cheering on the other 5 to try and 5 man it

its not hard to help new people in the raid. im one that doesnt mind helping and getting people though. but there is a difference with going on a run intending on helping and going on a run for my own loot and wanting to get it done fast. i separate the 2. if im doing my personal runs, i want them fast and with few mistakes. im more patient and easy going when im done with my runs and im on a run that is intended on helping others. im pretty sure this goes for many in the game. if you are looking for help, best to find people that are done with their own runs and are now open minded to helping and going through mistakes.

some of us are trying to beat raids in a decent amount of time, not 3 hours
-
I run carries all the time. Just use guided games and get your light up
-
You may be the outlier but the majority just want to be carried and don’t even have the courtesy of studying up on the raid, run a desired load out or follow simple instructions. My clan is all but dead. We usually have 5 on at one time at most. Still won’t LFG for a random to do LW. I would rather just not raid than waste 4 hours failing because someone is being difficult.

Ask your clan for help

2 RepliesI’ve seen a lot of fire team posts in this app advertising noobs welcome or made by new players asking for help and they fill quickly. In your case, it’s definitely your power level. I understand wanting to do the raid, but try to at least get to 560 first, check the recommended power level for activities and try to be that. I didn’t do last wish until after I was 580, just because I didn’t want to struggle in the final encounter. Also once you are the appropriate level most groups won’t stress your guns as much. I do recommend grinding for the EP shotty tho, BIS boss killer.

There are folks out there that help, they just aren’t the majority. Look for groups that say something like “teaching a friend” or “carrying one” already. They may have the mindset for taking another new guy. Albeit you might only complete one or two phases that go but you’ll be better off than you were. I think part of the reason lies in these revive tokens and the dependency of each individual fulfilling a role simultaneously. If someone dies then it’s almost certainly a team wipe for the most part. Older raids were more suited for learning because even if most of your team was down you could still have “clutch” moments where those left alive thought fast on their feet and pulled it off. Now if you don’t have 4 guys standing on a plate while two others are running with a ball (big fun 🙄) the mechanics won’t work causing a wipe.
-
Because people want their own loot and fast. They don’t want to spend an hour at each boss explaining things and letting you adjust. This isn’t your fault though. My recommendation is to make your own lfg post and put in the title you’re new, you need help, and people will fill in. It might not be quick and you’re certainly not going to breeze through the raid but that’s the only way. It’s their group, their rules, you don’t fit so they have to kick you.

9 RepliesThis isn’t a game to most of the raid elitists, this is do or die, this is a job, a mission that must be completed without any failure, you do this for your country or not at all. Anyway don’t forget to have fun. I apologise to any normal people out there but we are a minority.

5 RepliesI think that this is an underrated post, I have been a avid destiny 2 player since launch. My problem is that I have no friends that like playing the game too, so I have found myself left out of doing all Raids because I have no one todo them with. I still have yet to find a group that will run through with me, I know the basics of the Raid from videos and things like that but I don’t know the in-depth parts because I have yet todo it!
-
Honestly, because it takes forever to explain the mechanics. I mean, it takes longer to explain shuro chi than it takes to run the entire raid. 😂😂😭
-
I'm 593 light, but I don't have any clears. Apparently that means I don't know how to play this game.
-
Because they need people to carry them
-
There are people out there that will help. They’re patient and very competent. The reason most won’t do this is because to compensate for their failures in life, they’re elitist aholes.
-
Your not missing much 👍🍺
-
Console?
-
Because once youve reached the farm you are now an entitled elitist.
-
I think most people just want to get their loot and go, probably have other things to do irl. But there are clans/players who like spending time helping others you just need to find them
-
Are you referring to normal raids or prestige raids?
-
At 546 there’s no way you’ll make it through the raid. Take the time to do your milestones and get your lvl up and acquire the gear you need. At a point you wont even be able to damage enemies. As for leviathan raids not many people run them right now because the rewards dont scale up to the current lvl cap. If you’re wanting to do that you can create your own fireteam and ask for help saying it’s your first time. It’s also best to at least read about the mechanics if you don’t want to sit through a video. No one wants to spend 6 hours doing a raid they’ve done a hundred times already. Tldr: better prepare yourself and you’ll get the help you need
