New player here. A friend told me warlock is the worst class for any endgame activities, he said Titan has the best DPS and Hunter got the strongest utility/support, the only place warlock works is pvp, is this true? Should I reroll before I invest too much time, thanks!

4 RepliesIf you believe your friend... Don't EVER step into my Well of Radiance. Never. Not one time.

It only ever comes down to how you play. If you play like shit, it won't matter what class you are. So, in answer to your specific question: no class is "shit". The player is. So if your friend says warlock's are shit, it means he plays like shit.
-
I play all three and imo, warlock is the best for support will well of radiance and if you’ve got lunafaction boots, your dos during a Well of radiance or dropping a rift is -blam!-ing bonkers. So play as a warlock if your into being a support character.
I’ve been neglecting my Titan
Warlock best support and best dps well of radiance and chaos reach and best Pvp nova warp

2 RepliesEdited by nerovega: 11/16/2018 5:43:30 PMLack of intelligence tells me your buddy is a Titan main ;-) For real though, I don't know a raid team that doesn't want a well of radiance Warlock with Lunafaction boots on. Storm trance has great add clearing abilities, Chaos reach is super fun and does alot of damage, and Nova Warp is unstoppable in PvP. Warlocks are not useless. Each class has its pros and cons. Warlock master race!

Hell no! Space Magic baby!

5 RepliesWarlocks are actually in a dam good spot in PvE and PvP, the warlock mega rift is insane in PvE, you’re literally unkillable. Chaos reach(giant laser beam) is great for boss damage/add clear. And Nova Warp is another great ad clear super, it’s the best PvP super in the game at the moment, the only downside to warlocks in PvP are their movement/jump, and there aren’t any “absurd” must have exotics for them.
-
The thing about warlocks is they are a solid choice for any activity. You can't go wrong with a warlock. They are versatile.
-
Are you friends with Trump? That may be the fakest news I have ever heard...
Well of radiance,Dawnblade, chaos reach, nova, nova warp, and storm trance are all great in PVE.
-
Don’t trust titans, those pea brains. Warlocks have by far the best ad clear potential while also having subclasses specialize in prime boss DPS. Chaos Reach and Well of Radiance are amazing at this.
-
Well it used to be shit but they they gave warlocks the overpowered void warp.
-
I’ve got all 3 classes and warlocks are a perfectly viable pick

Your friend is wrong. The only place where Warlocks are somewhat weak, is in PVP. But the new Nova Warp super, and the buff to ability cooldowns that came with Forsaken have helped that a lot. The only thing that Warlocks really need right now is a buff to Nova Bomb and to Stormtrance. Warlocks are one of the most powerful all-around classes in PVE right now. Well of Radiance is STUPIDLY powerful if you're playing in a team setting....or in the Blind Well. If you match it with Lunafaction boots, your super gives everyone a buff to ability recharge. A buff to healing. A buff to damage AND you don't have to reload any of your weapons while in the well. You can just fire continuously. Matched with Phoenix Protocol, you get your super back just like Orpheus Rig for Hunters. Chaos Reach is a powerful super against bosses. Nova Warp is powerful in PVP and for mob control in PVE and Gambit. Titan is probably the EASIEST class to play in PVP, but isn't the most powerful. Only the Solar Titan is super strong in PVE...and that's because its ability to buff solar damage with a melee attack (Melting Point) meshes well with the game's most powerful special weapon (EP shotgun) and heavy weapon (Sleeper Simulant). The other subclasses are strong but not particularly overwhelming. Hunters are the strongest they've ever been in the game....each subclass has a strong super for PVE play. Though Blade Barrage and the Arc supers are some of the strongest in PVP right now. TLDR: PVE? Play which ever class you want. There is a strong option out there for each class, and you'll get more out of playing a class you enjoy playing...than trying to find "the strongest one." PVP: If you're a weaker PVP player.....pick a Titan. They are the easiest and most forgiving class to learn on. If you want a class that will let you go the farthest in PVP if you're a strong or competitive player? Pick a Hunter. They dominate the highest levels of PVP....and are a ROYAL pain in the ass to play against in the hands of a skilled player.
Your Guardian is what you make of it.
All classes viable, all dependent on a play style. Staying within the play style, you can succeed with any and all.✌
-
Depends on what activities. Hunters are the best in platforming, PvP, and can generate a ton of orbs/ deal boss damage. Warlocks can play support (well of Radiance) and wipe a team with nova warp. Titans have defender and hammer going on for them in PvP.
-
10 Repliesyour friend is wrong it is more of Hunter and Warlock for pvp Titan is more dps and utility in pve Warlock is support and dps in pve Hunters are only good for tether in pve
-
Warlock main since D1. Chaos reach is incredible with the exotic boots, geomag stabilizers. Without those, it can be underwhelming but, warlock is in no way the crappiest.
-
1 ReplyComing from a Warlock main:
your friend is an idiot.
Friend = idiot or troll = confirmed
-
Just make one of each class.. D2 does not like if you make 2-3 of same class... It hinders and punishes the 2nd and 3rd versions..
-
Your friend sounds very uneducated in this games mechanics.. Warlock is also a solo machine.. Which I love..
-
You need some new friends mate. #warlockmasterrace

With such friends, who needs enemies....?

Warlocks are a great all-round class. They have a subclass that can be made to focus on being a medic, a subclass for heavy dps, and a subclass that allows you to be a nightmare for the unprepared. That’s not something that hunters or titans can claim to be able to do. Titans have good support (with defender) and a lot of dps (striker and sunbreaker), and hunters are just the flank class (all their subclass and supers). If you want a guide on warlock supers, nova bomb (voidwalker base game) is your go-to if you just want to pop up behind your enemy and kill them, nova warp (voidwalker forsaken) is great for roaming around and taking out adds, palpantine mode (stormcaller base game)(not he actual name) is good for just charging in and not having to aim, chaos reach (stormcaller forsaken) is just great for melting bosses such as primevals and guardians, angel of death as I call it (dawnblade base game) is good if you want to provide suppressing fire (heh) and allows you to quickly get yourself grounded with a rift, well of radiance (dawnblade forsaken) is great for holding down the fort, healing teammates and buffing their damage, great super for blind well. That’s my guide to warlock supers, I don’t care if you use it, and warlock is a viable class.

I’m sorry, but your friend doesn’t know anything. Warlocks have always been a big part of raids, and have some of the essential tools for raiding
