Is warlock shit?
New player here. A friend told me warlock is the worst class for any endgame activities, he said Titan has the best DPS and Hunter got the strongest utility/support, the only place warlock works is pvp, is this true? Should I reroll before I invest too much time, thanks!

Well of Radiance is almost a requirement for a raid group for dps Nova Bomb for decent Burst Damage though hunters Golden gun is much better Nova Warp, Both Solar Blade, Both Base arc are trees good for add clear For Regular gameplay/campaign almost any class and subclass can be played PvP Nova Warp(Warlock) and Blade Barrage(Hunter) are dominating as best roaming and counter super Warlocks have decent grenades, worst melee, and best class ability for supporting your team [b][u]My Advice[/u][/b] If your doing just the campaign play with whatever class you want it won't matter PvP Choose either Hunter for Blade Barrage and better map maneuverability Warlock for Nova Warp and group support or Titan for Hammers and Shoulder Charge Raiding: Hunters: Tether which generates orbs for your team. Golden Gun for best Boss Dps. Warlock: Well of radiance for improved group dps. Nova warp for great add clear Titan: Melting point grants bonus damage. New sentinel class acts like Well of radiance but lose one person for dps Though this might change with the new raid lair right now a team generally needs At least one warlock and two hunters for an easy run. If you choose warlock try out the jump for 10 mins or so during the campaign and decide if you can get used to it. Don't worry it takes practice

Your friend is dumb. Play what you like. They all have their benefits. The rifts that warlocks have is amazing. If you pair it with lunafaction boots you'll get ammo refilling after every shot.

Hey I know a lot of people have told you about the classes and stuff but I'd like to give my input. I have over 60 hrs on d2 but haven't raided bc I'm more of a solo player but all classes are good. Warlock has good ad control, dps, support, survivability, and easy to use in pvp. This classes is great for recharging abilities if you like that over gun play mostly. Titan has good ad control, ok dps since he has a good debuff, good survivability and easy to use in pvp. This class has a lot of healing and can be pretty tanky but still killable. Like to be up close? Here you go. Hunter has good ad control, great dps, good support as in making orbs and tethering adds, has ok survivability if you know how to use it, also great in pvp if you have fast reflexes and good aim. Its supers are pretty good but for the most part you'll most likely be using your guns. Which is great if you make them master work so they can drop orbs of light. Honestly they are all good. But you'll see this and most likely pick the class with the coolest looking gear lol

Pppffff. As a Warlock main, Warlocks rock! Their Well of Radiance makes allies NIGH INVINCIBLE while inside, buffs damage by 35%, and if you have Lunafaction Boots, RELODS THEIR WEAPONS FOR THEM. Stormtrance and Daybreak are some of the best add clearing supers. Chaos Reach melts bosses. Nova Bomb is less insane, but with the Skull of Dire Ahamkara, you can have infinite amounts of them. Your friend doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Warlocks are essential for raids!

3 RepliesNo warlock is the best class overall they have burst damage supers with nova bomb and chaos reach while also having fantastic support supers with the new well of radiance. Not to mention you always have a rift up your sleeve for extra heals or damage. Voidwalker devor makes you a walking tank in pve and nova warp is the best subclass in the game for add clearing and destroying everyone in crucible with a team wipe super and mini nova bombs that usually 1 shot anyone trying to shotgun ape you. Blink on voidwalker once mastered makes for quick traversing of any map. Warlocks are the master race and your friend is an imbecil for trying to turn you away from absolute power.

Should I reroll before I invest too much time, thanks![/quote] As someone at 600 on all three classes: your friend sounds like a Titan main who's never raided since Forsaken launched nor ever played as a Warlock; the only thing he's right about is Warlocks being good in PvP. The rest? Titans are nowhere near top DPS for Raiding, that title belongs to Hunters with Celestial Nighthawk because it deals very high burst damage in a single shot - the closest Titans can come to competing for Super damage is on Argos with Synthoceps and it takes considerably longer to throw all their hammers. Meanwhile that Hunter can fire his Golden Gun for a ton of damage and then switch to Whisper of the Worm immediately for more DPS. As for Hunters being the "strongest utility/support" again...no. Hunters support options are pretty much limited to one tree of Nightstalker for PvE with Black Hole Shadowshot. Is it good add control and orb generation? Yes, and they do it well, but it doesn't debuff any Year 1 Raid bosses and I'm pretty sure it doesn't affect any in Last Wish either. Also worth noting that Hunters aren't relegated solely to Nightstalker for Raids as they have very strong PvE Exotics on Gunslinger and Arcstrider, too, but as I said: Nightstalker is the full extent of their support. Warlocks, regardless of subclass, can provide Healing Rifts or Empowerment Rifts, but with their newest Dawnblade path they are the best support subclass in the game. Their Super, Well of Radiance, gives a 35% damage buff to everyone inside of it [b]and[/b] constant very fast healing to an overshield, the ability to convert grenades into healing orbs that also grant a temporary overshield when passed through, and a melee that gives a 25% damage buff to allies and themself [i]which stacks with the 35% buff from Well of Radiance[/i].

Edited by W33DEDPLAGUE: 11/16/2018 6:48:30 PMHahaha, well of radiance is usually a must have for the raid...in fact, if you like to be a support player, it's the best subclass to use in pve right now...honestly, all the classes have their roles and right now, it's probably the most balanced it's ever been as far as needing some of every class for those type of activities...the one thing people complain a lot about with warlocks is the jump ability "glide"...but some hate it and some love it...your class choice is really up to personal preference and play style as all are viable options in pve and really pvp as well...the good thing is you can have 3 characters, which means you can have one of each class...which is what most of us do, myself included...I main hunter and it's definitely my favorite but everyone is different and you will find people who love all the different classes, again, depending on how they like to play

I’ve mailed Warlock since D1 and let me tell ya, you’re friend is completely wrong. Warlock has a great mixture of DPS and support and can support any play style. Voidwalker can offer some great add clearing capabilities as well decent dps. Dawnblade can also do some great work clearing adds while staying extremely mobile. Normal Stormtrance is mainly a pvp thing but the new Chaos Reach super is stupid good for dps. Well of Radiance also provides great support to a team. You also have your rift class ability which can either make you and your team a tank or dps machine especially with the lunafactions. In short I main a Warlock because of the massive amounts versatility in any activity the game has to offer
