20 RepliesHonestly. I hate how exotics are. By the time you get the ones you want, if you ever get them, you've likely already done everything the game has to offer multiple times over. The game likely isn't fun enough anymore just to mess around with one item for a little bit. Locking Forsaken exotics behind their nonsense rng is absurd.

There have been countless posts about this. I hate that I probably won’t get to enjoy the best exotics this DLC has to offer until Bungie nerfs them into the ground. Just like they do with every exotic that actually fulfills the power fantasy we bought this expansion to experience. They deliberately ignore every post about this topic. Seriously what game developer does that?

I agree. I don't play anymore for many reasons that I will not list, but I can see many people are angry about this. It's just another reason for bungie to keep people around. It should be like how it was in D1 Y1. I. Think that was the best exotic system, a lot of people will disagree, but I think it was fun to get exotics (Even from Xur) and they were actually Exotic without being to crazy to obtain.

It would be different if the money sucking beast that is Bungie actually cared about player input. Just like everyone else, tired of seeing the same old junk that I already have at a weekly vendor.

34 RepliesI have all the new exotic hunter armors and the only weapons I’m missing are two tailed fox, Black talon and 1k voices. I personally don’t have an issue with the drop rate of exotics but to each their own.

He’s ALWAYS had new exotics since the beginning of Destiny 1. He was a huge reason players looked forward to the weekend game. Now all of a sudden he doesnt? It’s like they killed Xur intentionally. Maybe because they had plans to eventually sell newer exotics in Eververse. It is literally the only explanation i can think of that makes sense. Why have the game suffer for nothing? It is definitely not to make them feel more special. That’s the biggest load of bull shit I’ve ever heard. Xur sold them in Destiny 1 year one and they felt way more special then.... So that line really is an excuse for something else behind the scenes that they’re not telling us...

As of then it was at 0.8%, that is awful. 2 RepliesIve gotten 4 non-quest forsaken exotics in 2 whole months. And I play quite alot. So the drop rates are really really really bad imo and quite frustrating to say the least. But I have to be honest im not so sure about the fated engram...its just too much on the opposite side of the spectrum. What I mean is right now its extremely hard to get exotics imo. But the fated engram on the other hand would make it wayyy to easy to get exotics so its on the opposite side of the extreme. And we know destiny is a loot based [b][i]grindy[/i][/b] mmo so grind is of course always to be expected So i'd prefer a middle ground where the exotic grind is not too extreme (like it is now) but at the same time not like last year where the exotic grind was non-existent (due to the fated engram)...Last year I used to just log on destiny, get my new exotic for the week and log off until the next week. I would actually much rather prefer it to be like d1 where xur will sell something I dont have every now and then instead of a garunteed new one weekly. And also buff the exotic drop rates a bit and have some kind of rng build up like the nightfall and escalation loot where as you dont get anything your chances increase over time. Imo the fated engram is just a bad way to go about it for a grindy mmo and its inclusion was kind of a testiment to the casualisation of destiny last year

i doubt they will do it considering most people had all the other exotics a long time ago since they gave them all away like candy in vanilla D2, and theres only like what 16 new exotics in engrams total? That would mean if u were all caught up on your exotic collection before Forsaken launched (very likely if u been playing since launch), then in roughly 4 months you'd be guaranteed to get all the remaining ones solely from Xur

Since the update I’m seeing fewer exotic drops and majority is still duplicate weapons.. last night got Suros regime for maybe the 5th time and last exotic I got before that was coldheart which I obviously already had.. I know the update did help some people but the rest of us need Xur to be relevant again..

Tbh, it's gotten to the point where getting exotics isn't even special anymore. They're so goddamn rare you can't get excited to see one, or be bothered to care about milestones/ a pursuit for them. I say yes, let Xur carry new exotics

Maybe when the next DLC drops in a few weeks? We will just have to wait and see. If it doesn't change, then you can start bugging Bungie, but for now, I've been getting at least a new exotic two just about every week since the last update.

Two forsaken exotics is all I have had drop, and their duplicate patch did NOTHING 😬.

The only forsaken exotics that i currently have are Wavesplitter,and Shards of Galanor.
