Competive glory point suggestion.
If players make it to they next rank. Have players retain said acheived rank.

For everyone thinking that I'm complaing about point loss and having to climb to the next rank.
I just don't think you should lose rank.

3 RepliesGlory ranking is supposed to represent your skill. That's why it goes up AND down. If there was no reward for attaining a specific rank, this wouldn't be a complaint anyone has. But everyone is getting frustrated trying to get Luna that they want to change how the ranking system works to accommodate. This is dumb. Valor rank is a steady climb, representing how many games you've played. Glory is supposed to be a representation of your skill, so it needs to go up and down based on wins and losses (in my opinion, more data should be considered, but Bungie disagrees).

1 ReplyThat would be something, but it doesn’t really help when you need 850 points to the next rank. It just leaves you stuck at that rank facing opponents of that rank. I would suggest, they go back to the loss streak they had where you lose fewer points with each additional consecutive loss, but keep the winning streak system they have now. This would make a bad session less punishing and frustrating.

All you guys complaining you cant get out of 200glory points needs to think what you should be doing better, and not that the game is broken. You get demoted if you lose, dont -blam!-ing lose. The match making system is broken, but needing atleast a 66% winrate to advance isnt a bad thing, its a RANKING system. You're supose to climb a ladder. And not expect it to be an escalator.

This wouldn’t work. It would mean the further into a season the less players there would be in the lower ranks. So any new players would end up getting matched against higher ranking players/teams.

I am considering cutting a 1.6 KD Quickplay player to improve my progress to Lunas. How good do you have to be? The skill requirement is unreasonable as the player pool shrinks due to high skill players demoralizing low skill players in an attempt to holt any slide in glory points or rank. I would like to include my friends from quickplay who play well and enjoy crucible in my games but I have no incentive. They cannot progress in glory rank (due to small player pool, bad match making and glory point loss penalties) and this hopelessness removes thier incentive. Futhermore above average is not even close enough for me to invite you to my team. I would like to see players who have developed skills in this game rewarded with these (items). I would love the opportunity to help them get there. Bungie fix your game please.

If anything, either find a clan. Or maybe we should lose less rank when someone not in your fireteam (aka a blue) dips towards the first half of the match

7 RepliesI think the idea behind it is to get players caring about rank and making an effort to maintain their rank. Though that doesn’t really work since you don’t get anything for maintaining a particular rank throughout the season.
