Destiny lost an amazing Titan last night
Last night the Dawnbreakers brotherhood and Destiny lost an amazing Titan. Deriss, aka Joshua Foley, was a military vet, Titan master class boss, Dawnbreakers admin, and information guru.
Deriss joined our clan during Destiny beta days on Xbox One and has been a part of our clan ever since. Even when Destiny lost its light we still journeyed as a group of friends across many other awesome worlds until Destiny brought it back.
Deriss you were our clan’s pragmatic leader and resident smart guy but we enjoyed every moment of your life you were willing to share with your brothers. Deriss took his life after facing many battles both inward and outward. If you see a loved one struggling don’t let them fight the darkness alone because we don’t leave fireteam members behind.
Deriss.....Josh, although Destiny brought us together you’re presence and joy helped make us a family. We love you brother. Eyes up, Guardian.

1 ReplySad to hear. Prayers for his family and friends. I know his struggle. Life isnt fun for all of us. It has brief moments that make it live-able and we seek those. Thankfully, Im guessing, this is what your friend found with your clan. A way to escape pain and fear and just laugh with some friends. Rest knowing you helped a friend. I say this, because I know first hand how he felt.

So very sorry for the loss of your friend, brother, partner, and community member. Also very sorry that some people enjoy being disrespectful while they hide behind the anonymity of a keyboard and monitor. Whether you knew Deriss in person or only through your shared love of Destiny and video games, he was a part of your lives and will certainly be missed. May he rest in peace and may his family and friends find comfort in their memories of him in better times. <3

While I do not agree that suicide is the answer to a problem and have my own opinions on it that doesn't give me the right to post on his friends post and dishonor his name. Short story long you people should be ashamed of yourselves. I hate that he was in a place where he believed that was his best option but the fact that he had friends like you had to have eased at least a part of his burdens sometimes so that is a silver lining if there is one.
