Never getting the Malfeasance I guess
Since its tied to both Gambit and RNG AND you have to kill it and killing it to get the heart is another RNG. I've made peace with that im not getting it. Whether its a good or bad gun there is just too much RNG here for fun to be had. Not to mention all the issues, not Sleeper ones, Gambit has right now. so i guess i will just keep resetting for the ghost shell. Its a shame i really like Gambit and its lore too.
Update: Lot of talking going on and its great. hearing a mixed bag of thing from here and outside sources on the quest itself. I personally think it would be as painful if the Malfeasance Boss Spawned more often. I play 8 hrs last night and didnt come up once, and i hearing people got it there first match of the day. Im not asking for it to be a like 50/50 spawn rate, But if what people are saying that it is a RNG for the Malfeasance to spawn and another RNG if the heart drops equal to each other lord have mercy on me.
I don't feel like im being rewarded for my commitment to Gambit. I cant say it enough, it is my favorite part of Destiny right now. All issues a side, It's still may favorite. But two resets and half way through a third and things keep popping up. This is the big reward for playing Gambit. The rewards you get for playing normally dont live up to the time invested. Something needs to change.

1 Replythe first night i played 5+ hours and didnt get the quest. ill eventually get it .... i have fun playing gambit. i have friends that play wow and spent hundreds of hours and cant get gear they've wanted ... i dont expect to get everything i want.

8 RepliesIf it makes you feel any better or gives you any hope, I played for 6 hours the day before yesterday and never got it. I got off of work yesterday and swore I was done with gambit. After about an hour of competitive crucible I said screw it and went into gambit. Second game boom I got and spent the rest of the night working on the quest. I fealt the same way as you in the beginning but changed my mindset after just going to gambit for fun again.

1 ReplyMy first game of the day with a full stack of clanmates and it spawned. Lol we went full sweat when it showed up. I've seen it like 3 times over the course of 5 games so I dont think the spawn rate for it is that low, but then again rngesus might just be favoring me at the moment.

3 RepliesGuess I was lucky. Went in for 3 games to get my weekly milestone done. Finished 2 games and as I'm loosing first round of the 3rd game I said to myself: "I just want to get my milestone done as quick as possible, I'm not gonna contribute to this round" I know it sounds kind a dick-ish but I'm not really a big fan of Gambit. I just don't like this game mode. I find it boring and every time there is a milestone for it i force myself into it. Back to the point, I'm running around the map like a headless chicken, killed 2 ads here, 3 ads there, deposited maybe 10 motes in total, thinking of loosing this round so I can move on to next milestone, yet my team manages to summon the primeval and I look at it thinking to myself "I have never seen this boss before" so I rushed at it melting pointed it, used my super and everything and we killed it. After we killed it, the whole fireteam got the quest item. You want to see me in Gambit now 😂🤣😅
