Powerful gear bugged after patch!
Just loaded today's patch and completed Ikora weekly. Dropped on level gear again. Wasted 5 powerful gear drops for the week. UNACCEPTABLE Bungie, try harder.

We have confirmed player reports and identified the issue causing powerful engrams to sometimes drop below appropriate power levels, and are working on a fix to this issue. Seriously I'm not usually one to complain but 4 of my powerful Engrams for the week dropped low and I didn't realize it until it was too late. Pay for the game but don't play it while we break things with absolutely no effort to compensate customers for lost time.

2 RepliesDear Bungie, Please fix the current latest version of Destiny 2 Forsaken on PS4, There is an issue with Legendary, Powerful and Exotic engrams received from NPC's. Engrams from Zavala, Shax, Saladin, Rahool or the Gunsmith. For example: When an engram displays power lever 515 but once you open it, then you receive a much lower power lvl item of for example 501. This is very frustrating after hard dedication of grinding to get better gear but no good rewards. Please fix this Bungie, before we all have to waste our bounty's, daily's and weekly's for rewards that are no good. Regards, Jay

I noticed the drops are lower than light level, sometimes. I’m 543 and got a 547 then a 539...both from powerful gear missions/bounties

I had it happen too. Did a couple powerful before the hotfix and got power 519. I'm 524. So waited for the hotfix as people were saying it was to fix this issue. Then did a bunch of powerful activities after it released and nothing dropped even at my power level. At least -2. So that's a bunch of work wasted. I was trying to gear up for Dreaming City and other endgame stuff but I guess I have to make my entire clan and I wait for you guys to ACTUALLY fix it. Stuff like this makes me just want to quit a game. Which is effectively what I'm doing since I don't want to play and waste all my weekly's.

Same is happening for me! Did 4 things for powerful engrams only for them to drop at same level or lower level (3 of them). Told my wife to be aware of it while turning stuff in. It’s just a waste of time to complete this crap if we aren’t getting the promised rewards. How is it you charge D2 day 1 players 60-80 bucks for forsaken expansion only to give us a buggy crappy version. Has Bungie really became so money hungry that you don’t care about your player base and the steaming pile of crap you give us now?

Just wasted my day off trying to level up i am 522 i got lower level "Powerful gear" unacceptable. I wasted powerful gear and my time it is really frustrating. But at least I am not the only one. BS

If that's a top priority, just do it asap instead of pushing smaller updates. This is ruining our experience. I've already lost 4 weeklies with this issue. Are you expecting me to go play and do more with this bug up? (...) I'm new to the game and this kind of bugs ruin every player experience. I've heard that Bungie was awful fixing stuff, but this... this is way too much to be acceptable. It should take one hour to fix. [b]It's been 24 hours.[/b]

See, I don’t get this. These issues were there since launch. Yet they released the raid only a couple weeks after launch. Along with time based rewards. Not fair imo because here we all are doing things legitimately while others got to their light through exploits. I’m so close to being 550 and I should’ve gotten there this week if it weren’t for this shit. I feel like breaking out a tinfoil hat and calling bungie out for doing this on purpose to extend the longevity of the game and chase to 600. They probably didn’t think people would level up this quickly.

Yup still happening to me. Only can get powerful gear on the first character. Every other character drops same level gear. Annoying AF. Should probably be around 560 at least by now instead of 545.
