since it spreads out damage its basically only good up to slightly out of shotgun range. Part of the issue is that it has poor headshot chance and everything is pretty much a sponge unless you go for headshots, outside of patrols and low level activities. It also sounds pretty blah which is half of what makes up the feel of the weapon.
