1 ReplyYeah the new infusion is bad. Real bad. I know its not game breaking but it sure feels like it. Grinding that many materials is no bueno
-
4 RepliesEverything to artificially stretch the grind. Bungie can only think in black and white. Full casual or full grind, differentiation or balance are concepts unknown to them.
-
Edited by DeathPony07: 9/7/2018 9:56:15 AMRemember when it was simple and worked perfectly in Year 3? You could even infuse your other characters to get them leveled quickly, so you could actually play the game and grind for gear, instead of this cancerous level grind.
-
They finally made an amazing DLC but it's still filled with typical Bungie bullshit. Can't say I'm surprised.
-
4 RepliesThe new infusion system is beyond garbage. It's just plain obnoxious and soooooo unnecessary. A real buzzkill in a mostly beautiful expansion. I notice the masochists lining up to defend the new tedium. They should all be permanently forced to play Destiny with 8 bit Nintendo controllers. Y'know....for additional challenge. Wouldn't wanna be considered "casual" afterall...
-
Gotta move this post so nobody sees it. Lol
-
Why isn't it just a simple system like it was in Year 3 of D1? Why make it annoying to level up?
-
They can't get everything perfect. Give em some slack. It'll probably be fixed in year 3 :)
-
4 RepliesMore like a thousand steps forward and one step back. This update is phenomenal. Tf are you talking about? Just upset you actually have to put in real work for what you want for once and cant just xurn it or get it over night? Nice to see something that requires raw dedication for once.
-
9 RepliesTry running VoG three times per week for materials! People don't KNOW grind.
-
I like it.
-
1 ReplyHonestly this is better than the one we had in vanilla d2. Now I can actually infuse a pulse into a hand cannon if I want
-
7 RepliesWaaaah! I love it. Cry more kid! Nothings free, millennial. Get to work!
-
At least planetary materials have a function now, and it’s not really difficult to get your hands on it. Now you will think twice before you infuse because of the cost. And that’s the way it should be.
-
1 ReplyEh I wouldn’t say a thousand steps back, really it’s a minor blip on an otherwise great expansion so far, but I do agree that they increased the cost too much, especially with masterwork cores
-
Waaaaahhh. Better prioritize then, scrub
-
I'm so broke its not funny. I don't have any masterwork cores so I'm stuck wearing this ugly armor. I don't know if any of you remember, but in the beginning of TTK the infusion system sucked also. So for bungie to make a somewhat same mistake twice(with most thing in the game) is insane. Only things in this dlc I'm mad about is this infusion system, glimmer cap, and forcing us to play Gambit for ace. Other then that so far so good.

1 ReplyNerf plasteel plating
-
It's a step forward as it stops people from just infusing at wild. But if we don't have any big ways to get MW cores, it isn't a step forward from d1. Fair enough if the core was only required for exotics, but for legendaries? That's silly, especially with how many cores are needed for everything else. My big problem, however, is the fact that Bungie nerfed the cores that drop from y1 weapons and armour. That was stupid. It effectively sticks the finger to anyone who didn't want to dismantle their favourite gear until Forsaken dropped, or to those who didn't want to risk the system not working properly.

This is a first time feeling for me. I always preorder Deluxe Editions with season passes etc. This time I didn't and had apprehension about not jumping in on the first day. I never join in the "which weapons need nerfing or buffing" type of talk, change is change (however i'll take my original Gally and Armamentarium any day). Back to the first time, after seeing so many posts and seeing the same infusion/GRINDING system incorporated into Year 1 Destiny 2 . I am so glad I don't feel the anger, frustration etc at spending $80 this time. I'm HAPPY to say Bungie I'll play this round when it's "Dirt Cheap" :-)
-
7 RepliesAnyone remember the great weapons part shortage of D1?
-
1 ReplyOriginally I wasn't going to buy Forsaken, but in a moment of utter stupidity, I clicked that button. Anyway I can cancel my purchase and get my money back on this rubbish?

-
1 ReplyWRONG infusing the same item into itself only cost glimmer. Casual destiny is gone. So get over it or move on.
-
Just stop infusing like crazy. I actually hated that way of infusion. There is no need to immediately infuse anything unless you are past the cap at this point. The be selective about it.
-
25 RepliesI do not see that big of a problem with the infusion system. It isn't about power levelling. We can buy the MW cores from Spider, so that isn't a huge deal. As well as the planetary material is extremely easy to farm. It just requires you to put some additional thought into what you actually want to infuse. Instead of just infusing everything. We wanted a bit of a grind, they gave it to us. I for one, am happy. I am prepared to be torched for having these thoughts, oh well.
