The crucible is an abortion now
Sick and tired of gettin shottied to the face ever 5 seconds. Who’s fkn idea was this to bring back the matador meta. Like seriously. If your going to have insta kill weapons with such prevalence then buff the autos, smgs, and all other means to combat them. Quick play has turned into a sweaty fkn clusterfk and I’m now at the point of walking away from destiny altogether after this bs. I’ve put in almost 3k hrs alone since the taken king in d1 and already have 1300hrs in d2 and loved the improvements. But now it’s a donkeys ass and elephant abortion in the crucible. What in the living fk bungie?!?!?

I completely agree. Crucible is complete garbage now. Before this I had zero problems getting kills now I can barely go positive 4out of 10 games because it’s nothing but full teams running laps with shotguns. Also the lag since the update is horrible, players not taking damage.

14 RepliesI’m not sure if you noticed but autos melt. Use those and back pedal not that hard. Or use a back up plan fusion. Or an smg. Or a sidearm. Literally all of these things counter shotties. Don’t blame the game for your inability to think around problems

I have to disagree. I have shut down plenty of people with shotguns before with a burst or an auto rifle.

The majority of players wanted shottys out of the power slot. So Bungie got rid of the new weapon system and put them back in the special. Unfortunately, you fall in the minority of opinion on shotty use and since there is no way to please both the minority and the majority they decided to do what the majority wanted. You might as well quit complaining.

I think everyone went into the first day trying the same thing; putting a shotgun in primary and try to run around and one shot people. I did the same thing. It took all of one round to figure out what was going on, so I go back to ranged weapons and get them before they can get close.

5 RepliesDon't play to there game then? Stay at range, learn the ranges of the maps, and then think "Shotguns could come from these ways.." Can't tell you how many times I've been put down by snipers watching lanes, or Fusions. Or... put on one yourself. Everyone is running around with PP and HFFS- but there are a few guns that can stop them in there tracks as far as shotguns. The High Impact ones. I've been rocking a Deadpan Delivery... and it stops [b]everything[/b] in there tracks... except Arcstriders and Hammer Titans.

it was the community idea, but honestly if you manage spacing it shouldn;t be so bad, also hipfiring while back threading works amazingly well especially if you have decent mobility and hipfiring.
