I know the matchmaking system has changed and everything, but being the ONLY person on your team left from the start of the match and having 4 times less points than the opponent is really infuriating for Shaxx to not call the match early.

I agree about the mercy, needs to activate earlier. They also need to have some kind of surrender option when people leave comp that allows you to leave without getting a loss.
-
A 6 stack of professional PvPers vs. Soloists. Mercy should have been called long before 23-110.
-
Pfft! I'll make u mercy! 😤😤😤
-
change mercy to player count instead of score.

3 RepliesNo SBMM is the problem - it's one lop sided pub stomp after another. Bungie tried the same carp in D1 and a ton of players voted with their feet. Same thing will happen, but not before the "git gud" minority have their usual salt storm. Vote with your feet. If it's a pub stomp, leave the match. I used to stick it out when MM got a little out of whack - now it's just a dumpster fire, no fun at all.

I think after 35 point lead (depending on the game mode maybe 40) it should activated. There’s been games with a 60 point gap that it didn’t activate on

Lol, I feel your pain...and have wonder the same thing. I have begged it to all be over with.

"That's it, I've seen enough." Forty-five minutes later, he calls the match.

Edited by ken31cayman: 8/8/2018 3:57:10 PMTell me about it. I'm tired of them drawing out my humiliation game after game: "They're crushing you!"...."Defeat is imminent." Over & over again. Shaxx's voice haunts my dreams. Who needs an abusive father when you have Shaxx? I'm so pathetic...

Edited by Soul_Eater_42: 8/7/2018 6:48:46 PMBungie needs to revamp it to have similar requirements of the Mercy Rule in D1 where it activated if the winning team's score reached 60% before the losing team reached 20%. They'll have to adjust the percentages though since the scoring system is different in this game.

1 Replyagree it seems to have a threshold of 70 points now, which is a bit too high. Should be 50-60 I think they found that a redonk amount of games would mercy at less than 70, due to the incredibly crappy matchmaking, so they raised it

Ditto. Dropped into a couple 25 - 125 games lately. No chance and no idea why it continued from the beginning. Now that I think about it I haven’t had a mercy rule kick in for the last couple weeks.

3 RepliesIt's been screwed since Destiny 2's inception. D1's mercy rule was simple and dead reliable, and still is. If you hit 60% of the winning score before the other team hits 20%, it's over. Another example of Bungie trying to fix what wasn't broke.
-
Lost one yesterday something like 138 to 40. No idea why it didn't mercy us.
-
Additionally the games go on way too long. The timer and score should be halved.
-
No! I need time to get a super for this solstice pvp super kills quest. If my team gets mercy’d before that the match is useless

1 ReplyOn the flipside, I do like the idea of being given time to make a comeback. It isn't hard to gain ground, or even lose ground. I've been up 60+ and lost, I've also been down 60+ and won. People would be surprised how well they do, if they didn't constantly hold forward on the left thumbstick.

3 RepliesEdited by Subsistence_Sasquatch: 8/7/2018 7:50:07 AMApparently to some people, as soon as you start a match it should mercy rule and hand over the Legendary Solstice Armor Masterworks and a free coupon to Chuck E Cheese for a family of 3. If you have 2 kids, pick your favorite and submerge the other in a tar road. A couple unable to reproduce "Adopts A Highway", the road that inhabits the child. - The more you know

Mercy rule is the dumbest thing I've ever seen

Mercy only activates when the winning team hits 70% of the required points for the win and the losing team has 30% or less of the points needed to win.
-
no, the problem is the Devs aren't activating soon enough
