Petition to make bungie stop making us play crucible.
I’m honestly sick of every update requiring me to play crucible. It wouldn’t be bad if crucible didn’t suck complete ass.
Like all I want to do is get my solstice armor upgraded. But no, I have to play your god awful crucible to do so.

As a Crucible casual, I find if you stick with team mates and don't chase the fighting the Crucible isn't that bad and you don't get so frustrated. The more you play, the easier it becomes. I remember being overwhelmed in Crucible in the original Destiny beta. Crucible was much faster than Bungie's Halo multiplayer and even played faster than Halo 4's multiplayer.

In general, I just wish they would let people level up by playing how they want to play, instead of trying to make everyone play everything. The game tries to be everything to everyone, and it doesn’t excel at any of them as a result. When it comes to raid gear, let the appearance of that gear speak for how it was acquired. Other than that, like with this Solstice event, I want to just run around the shared world and upgrade these armors by playing the activities I like.

This is soppose to be a celebration for all players, and yet you lock certain players out from celebrating. I agree. What does being a hero have anything to do with playing PVP? I've done every challenging thing this game has thrown at me, but since I don't play PVP, now I can't progress my Solstice armor? It's bs. PVP is only 10% of this game and should only be seen as a side bonus thing for the players that want to participate. I've done all the Raids and prestige Nigtfalls and the Whisper mission and etc, but because I dont PVP I'm not considerd "a hero"? PVP shouldn't have anything to do with Solstice of Heroes. I'm almost ready to just stop playing if this is how Bungie feels. (I'll be ignoring any rude comments that are posted to this, so if you don't have anything nice or constructive to say, don't say it at all).

2 RepliesYup. I mean. I am a D1 pvp player. I liked it. By no means i was hardcore. Trials was scary. But it is common sense that Destiny players some are oriented towards pve and some towards pvp. In some cases, hardcore and minority to both. Why make given gear tied to both? I mean we have pvp npcs and pve npcs. We have raid gear and pvp gear. Why on earth does bungie keeps making players do recicled and content they dont even like? I can do pvp and pve but i totally understand why some player dont like to do one or another. Its just mediocre from bungie. People have express this a lot of times. Dont force people to play stuff they dont like. They keep wanting to merge pvp with pve.

1 Replybottom line is if you do the activities then you are part of the problem. If no one does them bungie might(big might) get a clue and understand that people don't want to play pvp. But if people still do these events and just complain or stay silent then bungie will continue like nothing is wrong. Bungie watches the numbers and when they increase they get the idea that people like this kind of stuff. Also complaining on these forums is pointless, but if you just want to vent then they are good for that. Also if you notice bungie loves to dangle that carrot out in front of people. sadly to many people go for the carrot. This armor and the whisper quest are massive carrots no matter how good they look or are. it's just to keep the player count high till the expansion.

7 RepliesIndeed why should we tolerate the poor service Bungie provides for the PVP folks, everybody knows that crucible sucks, there is no skilled player that I know that will adamantly advocate and say that PVP on a peer-to-peer network is the best way to show your skill. The fact of the matter is that on a peer-to-peer network there is a delay bottom line no matter how good your connection is I have a 100down in 12up there is always a delay you see it in PVE as well. If we had dedicated servers plethora of modes available permanently, custom matches with a server browser I wouldn't have a problem participating in crucible fix your game first Bungie P.S. why is it so hard to have options in this game Bungie all you had to do was have a PVP way of completing SOH and also a PVE way of completing SOH

4 RepliesLook - I don't mind PVP all that much, but I also don't want to have to grind PVP JUST to get super kills. the rest of the gameplay is useless for you getting progress towards your goal: Upgrading solstice armors. On top of that... [b]Some people don't LIKE to play crucible. [/b] This is a PVE event, not IB , not trials of the 9. (those are PVP events) Solstice is a PVE event! It doesn't make much sense that crucible is required, IMO.

I agree, I'm going to black ops 4, battlefield, other games for my pvp. This game is dictated by streamers to much. Cod developers listen more to the overall community.

Just wait until Mayhem is active if you're having issues? Shouldn't it be next week? Grind all the PvE this week and take advantage of the increased super charge next week for PvP kills.

4 RepliesI don't play crucible. Hate it, despise it. Not interested in being good in it. PVP bores me. I don't own PVP games. I don't want to be forced to play it. I've been trying to get my super kills today to get the last thing done to upgrade my PVE gear. (Note...doing PVP to get PVE gear). In 3 hours, I've gotten 30%. At this rate of 10% an hour, it will take me 10 hours to compete for just one upgrade. This is not logical. This is no longer fun. Games are supposed to be fun 100% of the time. I'm sure some people enot PVP, I'm not.one of them. I have no interest of doing it or learning it. Bungee should had made crucible a buyable expansion pack, not automatic. That way they can't make us have it. Last thing. I don't see anywhere in crucible events that you have to do anything in PVE. So why are we having to do PVP in a PVE event?

Stuff like Redrix Claymore and the Solstice of Heros Armor challenges are locked behind play and near impossible rankings for most players.Its a game where aliens come try to kill us not, not we go kill each other for the fun in it. If they want an item locked behind Crucible achievements, don't make it quite possibly the most overpowered pulse rifle the game has seen, make it like exotic weapon ornaments and an exotic ship. While i'm not opposed to loot locked behind a certain goal, only streamers and like one guy ive ever seen in game have it. [spoiler] But i can see why they did that to keep players invested if you want to play competive Crucible message me LOL[/spoiler]

You should make another post like this but with the Raid. I mean i do raid sometimes when i manage to get a group. (My old clan died out of D2 mediocrity) But i think its -blam!- to force the majority of people ( that actually does not raid ) to do endgame content for stuff unrelated to the raid. Its common sense.

5 RepliesCounterargument: I don't want to do boring strikes and patrols but you don't see me complaining in my own post. I understand a lot of people don't like crucible...but honestly a lot of people don't want to be stuck doing the same boring pve missions over and over considering how most have probably gotten pretty bored of those activities. Why should bungie only cater to the people who don't like PvP, because they are unwilling to participate in a few matches? I guess so.
