I'M TIRED OF WAITING ON TAKEN BLIGHTS FOR 3 HOURS!!!
"It's amazing that when Bungo does something interesting, but the wait time is used to pad out the event. Why is it when we fail the mission, I have to wait another hour or so for the event to come back?!?! WORST. EVENT. EVER!"
FYI, [spoiler]You have three people in your fireteam. Separate from each others' butts, scout Io for the event, join up on that person. Three people, three Ios, three chances. I did this with my clan and the very second we fail is the very few minutes we're back in it.[/spoiler]
Bungie, do more of this.

2 RepliesI'm reasonably sure it's over. I've been sitting here a bit just monitoring it in the background and I've noticed it skip a window when no PE spawns in the Lost Oasis. Also, your clan trick doesn't work. PEs are global, not per server.

3 RepliesSpeculation is Bungie pulled the Event due to multiple reasons. Too many players had acquired the Sniper. Other events such as Crucible were being neglected as everyone went to IO. The shortcut was unintentional and needs to be patched. And/or this was to be discovered in the Solstice of Heroes. Reminder - these are all speculations. Eventually, we will be revealed the truth of why the Blight Public Event was stopped from spawning.

Y’all are just doing something to upset RNJAMBI, because I’m not even trying for the blackspammer and I had 3 blight events in a row just yesterday. Just did another before I jumped into bnet. What I’m salty about is that there isn’t a scrub prize for just doing the public events in that area. I’ve had to solo so many blights, extractions and supply drops I’d really like something for having to watch at one to five other guardians just afk while they are waiting for the Urzok to spawn. I can’t even do patrols while waiting, because bros can’t hang near each other, like if guardians are touching its gay or something... I’m so over y’all tequila hounds grinding for the worm already. This is so sad, Cortana play despecito!

Went to help a pair of people to get their own Whisper. Thanks to discord time stamps I know we waited almost two hours. I used to complain about how long Mercury PEs take to arrive but this rumps it hard.

Everytime the event should spawn, we get the enemy is moving against each other. Last night people figured out how to glitch ibto the mission area. Id bet dollars to donuts bubgie shut the blight event off to fix the exploit. If so, thanks a$$holes. You can never leave things alone.....

I don’t mind the fact that it’s tied to a specific public event (and I hope it’s accessible even when IO isn’t the flashpoint). However, it is disappointing that Bungie has been silent about this for hours. Is it a bug/glitch? Server issues on their end? Or is it meant to be extremely rare. I play on PC — is it only an issue on PC, or are consoles experiencing it too? This is the lack of communication so many players talked about after the launch of D2. There shouldn’t be this many people waiting and hoping to play this mission who are seemingly wasting their time because we aren’t being told what’s going on. Very frustrating. I understand that it’s Sunday and maybe most of if not all employees at Bungie have the day off. I get that. But surely someone there is aware of what’s going on — they can’t take a moment to update the player base and say: “We’re experiencing issues and look to fix them soon. More details at a later time.” A simple tweet will suffice. That way, we know we have to wait, and yes, that sucks, but at least we’re not sitting in a patrol area for hours because we think the event will spawn. Communication goes a long way. I’m not sure how many times that message needs to be stated for this company to get it.
