"It's amazing that when Bungo does something interesting, but the wait time is used to pad out the event. Why is it when we fail the mission, I have to wait another hour or so for the event to come back?!?! WORST. EVENT. EVER!"
FYI,
You have three people in your fireteam. Separate from each others' butts, scout Io for the event, join up on that person. Three people, three Ios, three chances. I did this with my clan and the very second we fail is the very few minutes we're back in it.
Bungie, do more of this.

lol. im sorry but L O -blam!-ing L. why do you still do this to yourself? its an abusive relationship. make like a tree and leaf.
-
So don't wait then

17 RepliesWell, i see D2 has produced some whiny casuals. Keep it up Bungie make the content more and more difficult and grindy like in D1 and the casuals will leave and hardcore D1 vets may come back.
-
Lol, I went to work and got paid today..have fun!
-
Seems like typical bungie, present something great, then ruin it.
-
Bungle logic at its finest. Cool mission but waiting around for a P.E. that may or may not happen is a typical Bungle brain fart.
-
Well... You can stop waiting now.
At least for a few days.
2 RepliesI think it's fun to watch you guys express your frustration for something you were VEHEMENTLY warned about for 2 years
-
2 RepliesJust an fyi OP, everyone has same public events so idk why you think splitting up helps.
-
I admire your dedication. Do you play chess on the side, during that 3 hours I mean?

6 RepliesCheaters is what Destiny was designed for and everyone who plays except for streamers are cheaters. Look, that's just what this game is, and why Bungie gets mad and has to time gate and rng gate their content. Because people aren't trying to figure out for themselves the puzzle of getting the loot. They wait the all of two hours it takes for a youtube streamer to do the event, and tell them how to do it. Then they go punch all the buttons to get the loot. And then they SCREAM there isn't anything more to do in Destiny and that it is boring. What would you do if you put hours and lots of employee hours into making an event, only to watch your player base solve it in 3 days and demand more? Or a bunch of elitists waving the gun in people's faces to feel better about their insecure lives? Or a bunch of casuals who never bother to figure out things for themselves? This is not a problem, it's just what playing Destiny is all about. And that's why Bungie charges you top dollar to time gate your loot.

4 RepliesEdited by Galactic Zones: 7/23/2018 2:10:55 PMIt's Bungie's way of keeping players in the game. In a selectable mission, people would complete it much more quickly and log off. By forcing players to wait around for hours on end for the mission to possibly show up, the Destiny population appears more substantial. If anyone misses out this week they'll try next week and so on. Bungie can then boast to Activision that lots of people are 'playing' the game just before the next content drop. It sucks but that's business.

14 RepliesPeople are never happy. No one is making you WAIT hours for the event except yourselves. You don't HAVE to get the gun the day it comes out. FFS just be happy that Bungie is adding stuff like this back to the game. Most people want something to grind for, at least that's been the feedback, but OMG the World is ending if YOU don't get it right away. #ToxicCommunity

So, nothing new?! This is Bungie MO, makes content that should last for some days or a week and then put it behind some stupid shitty mechanic (rng, timed, bug, etc) to last for months.
-
2 RepliesHeroic version just went poof too with the daily reset. Not happy!

3 RepliesSo now it is Monday. I've seen 3 Blight Events start since I've been here, but the big guy hasn't shown up. Is there a secret to getting it started?
-
5 RepliesLol I know enough now that the shiny reward is trash panda and why waste my summer evening hours home waiting. From a collection standpoint I'll wait months to even bother. You kids need jobs and a actual hobby
-
2 RepliesIt’s an easy fix if bungie would actually listen to its community. All they have to do is take the PE out of the equation. The oasis is a big area why not just put a giant blight in one of the hollows and once we take that out it spawns in the Taken Knight

Edited by biggestLOUser: 7/23/2018 6:14:38 PMI would think a better way to access the event would have been to complete world activities on IO to earn key fragments which would allow you to access the area, and if anything, gate the event to a certain # of keys per day or week, but would still allow people to attempt it when they have the time.

4 RepliesYesterday, I left after 3hours. How long did it go before it come up? Did it ever come back?
-
2 RepliesHonest to -blam!-ing god, 17 in a row some ppl are staying. Bungies company line: one step forward, two steps back.
-
1 Replyin 6+ hrs we had 2 in the beginning and nothing since. 10+ cabal in a row. this is dumb, and if its tied to flaahpoint i might be done with this game all together
-
1 ReplyThanks Bungie for ruining another day. Did you pull the whisper event?
-
5 RepliesThe community is so bored with the game that new content comes out and the only way bungie can stretch it to September is to make you wait for a timed event to activate the mission. Bungie has lost the plot if they think that's "fun" see you on fortnite, bye

3 RepliesEdited by No Kings: 7/23/2018 4:20:42 PMAnd yet anyone who has access to Mars can trigger Escalation Protocol which is the other big reward public event. Honestly, the level of disconnect from the realities of the most of the people who play this game from developers regarding this is astonishing. Absolutely mind boggling. People have jobs and families and obligations... Very few of us have the time to wait several hours for a chance to do a speed run through an activity which takes multiple times just to get the jump puzzle mastered. Get an effin clue Bungie. I won't be buying Forsaken and it's because of asinine stuff like this.
