"This is our finest hour. Ever victorious against the enemies of humanity. Ever triumphant in our home, and around the system. Now the City wants to honor us. Who are we to deny them?"
—Ikora Rey
It was a day that was supposed to be a celebration of our past glories. The anniversary of Six Fronts — the victory that united the City and gave us the Vanguard. Guardians donned ceremonial armor to commemorate the event, and gathered for a rousing speech by the Speaker. Then everything came apart when the Red Legion struck.
The Tower fell. The City was lost. Thousands of lives were lost with it. It was our lowest point since the Collapse. But humanity is not so easily extinguished.
We fought back. We recovered our lost Light. With the awakening of the Traveler, we faced our conqueror and prevailed. We reclaimed our home. We entered a new Golden Age.
That was almost a year ago.
Now, humanity is once again victorious: against the overwhelming might of Ghaul and the Red Legion; against Panoptes and the infinite threat of the Vex; against Xol and the unfathomable hordes of the Hive. More than ever, the City is grateful for their seemingly invincible Guardian protectors. And more than ever, humanity wants to show that gratitude.
Solstice of Heroes begins on Tuesday, July 31. This event is held in the Tower, and allows the inhabitants of the City to celebrate and thank Guardians for bravely defending them. During this time of celebration, Guardians will once again don the now-broken ceremonial armor from the day the City was lost to the Red Legion. They do this for many reasons: to remind themselves of what it's like to not be invincible; to challenge themselves and thus inspire the City even more; and to eventually reforge that broken gear into something stronger... just as humanity has been broken and reforged over and over again for hundreds of years.
Guardians will meditate on their journey through the Red War and take on additional challenges in those memories. They will marvel at the resurgence of the Traveler, as the elements themselves flare into existence during their adventures. And they'll do it all while humanity celebrates their past, present, and future.
Ikora Rey is the Tower's representative for the Solstice of Heroes event. She'll direct you to the center of the Tower, where the City has erected the Statue of Heroes as the focal point for the event. The statue will track your Moments of Triumph progress, and grant you the Solstice of Heroes event armor that you will begin upgrading.

10 RepliesEdited by blade329: 8/2/2018 2:43:40 PMQuestion: Why would I, as a player, want to go back and do missions, that I didn't like, at double the difficulty using weak primary weapons? Answer: I don't want to. Conclusion: This isn't fun at all.

This event confirms my beliefs, that not a single horrible person at Bungie, plays the game. It is so tideous, passive aggresive and anti consumer, i just wish someone would Antracupcake you. :)

8 RepliesAre you burned out of running, the same content over and over again, for months now? Here is an event, to do everything all over again. And again. Why? Because f**k you, that's why. "With love" Cancer.

Should rename it to bore-fest!! The festival of the rehash! It's all hidden behind a grind wall, because they have to keep you logged in somehow without providing much in the way of new content!
-
Does anyone know if the prestige mode completion for the armour master work applies to ANY raid on the Leviathan, or specifically Calus?
-
3 RepliesIt's a bit of a bummer that the legs need a legend rank to masterwork. I was hoping to be able to get all the armour sets but unfortunately I'll probably be grinding crucible to try and get one set of armour to masterwork. I wasn't able to take part in the 3x valor weekend, because of family commitments I can't play weekends. Is there any chance that the masterwork objectives deadline could be extended?

Can’t you fix the bugged Titan solar Super kills ???? Stuck at 48% for 2 days...

Edited by THEREALLONEWOLFx: 8/4/2018 5:17:36 PMJust another lazy, dull, repetitive, uninnovative update to try and get you to play the real endgame Tess Everworse!!

Personally I liked this event. I enjoyed the changes to the missions. Spark is really cool! I also really enjoyed the update to Ghaul! My only 2 complaints: -Sav's Song strike didn't update the cloak masterwork. I ran it twice and it didn't update the 10 bosses requirement -Mercury Adventures didn't update the 10 Adventures needed. I did 2 of them w no updates. Thanks for a super cool event!!

1 ReplyThe only cool thing are the dance moves but the event is stupid. Why 400 armor when the greatest add on for destiny will be here September 5?
-
1 ReplyIs there a Bungie employee that plays this game, who completed these? Please show profile info. I'd like to see it.

3 RepliesMy orbs and heroic public events aren't counting. I've got the armor on and have surpassed the goals by a lot. Help?

3 RepliesWhen does this event end?

1 ReplyGood morning/ afternoon/ evening/ night fellow guardians. The time has come again to once enjoy the new content released for destiny 2 last tuesday. We - The Bond Brothers - decided to take a look ag it and make a compilation of all the funny (and not so funny) moments from what we have played so far. It all started not so well ... No spoilers here you'll have to watch for yourself ;) Hope you all enjoy and stay tuned as more content including some tips and tricks to race through the event is on it's way. Peace out, Cyrotixus

Worse event ever. Not taking part in that trash.

3 RepliesEdited by LeGrand Daddy: 8/4/2018 12:15:43 AMCan someone confirm to me whether you have to have the entire armor sets on to get credit for each task? Or can you just wear the one piece while completing those tasks on that piece? Thanks! Edit: I know the redux missions require the full set to be worn... I’m wondering about everything else

8 Repliesi reset my valor rank for the third time before this event started. now for the boots its telling me to hit legend rank. wtf

Really like the new version of the Homecoming and Spark missions🙂👍 but wish Homecoming was the full mission instead of only half😢.Would like more Armour sets with the glow aswell as more colors.Like the idea of upgrading the armour and would like to see more but not with prestige raid or clan objectives.

4 RepliesQuestion I'm still leveling up, does the light lv of the green 200 gear effect my overall light lv, and if so will getting 400 gear raise it when I get my milestone engram later?
-
1 ReplyCan you masterwork the armor after the event is over?
-
6 RepliesPvp and prestige lev raid requirements. Are you guys on drugs or you trying to generate heat. Cause any publicity is good. I hate pvp and i'll admit cause i suck at it completely. But i barely have time to get a normal raid done. When will i find time to do prestige as my busy period at work kicks off. And the redux story...are not enjoyable solo. Spending 30/40 mins. I had forsaken order on the reveal. I cancelled it when you showed caydes death. And the continuing failures and greed prove you are incapable of saving this game anymore. You will join bioware and ea in my not giving you a single penny group.

3 RepliesAnyone know if the armor works like the 400 raid weapons. Can i put into my lunifaction boots?
-
Love the tweaked levels but will not be upgrading the gear as 1 or 2 of the requirements i dont do hardly namely Nightfall and Raids

3 RepliesEdited by Carson Kidd: 8/3/2018 12:03:17 PMI’m loving it Bungie. Feels like Halo in Legendary . I’m dying all the time, cursing, changing strategy and feeling accomplished when I survive. Props to the person who programmed a higher health enemy to “cover” an enemy I’m about to kill. The re-imagined campaign levels are GREAT! Thanks for the two tank opportunities. You guys did a great job with the Drake and I enjoy it every chance I get to drive it. Spark boss was by far the best yet in D2. Kudos. The new sparrows look fantastic. Anyway, thanks for all the work that went into this! Truly appreciated and enjoyed! - CK
