I don't mean people using Solar weapons with Arc Singe on. That's because the same guy who thought Blackout plus Brawler was a good idea made the challenges conflict with the modifiers. Sadistic jackass...
No, I'm talking about people who jump repeatedly when Grounded is active. Or run in to melee a group of Thralls when Blackout is on.
I just wasted a Vanguard Gift, three times in a row, because I kept getting matched with mental deficients who jumped around during the boss fight and got killed less than a second after being revived, repeatedly. Every time I made it ten tries before I gave up. No, I can't solo Dendron. I can dump DARCI into it and get it -almost- dead, then I get mobbed because the other two jump around like they're playing UT2k4 and are dead from the first instant of the encounter.
BLUF: How does someone get to 370+ light without being able to understand Heroic modifiers? (just about every one of these geniuses was higher than me)

Ah Ha! So you’re the A-hole that keeps damaging boss to flood us with ad’s. I think you found your problem, OP.
-
5 RepliesWhy do you think we all need to use the said Singe to complete a Heroic Strike? It’s a strike, not a Rubik’s Cube....
-
7 RepliesBecause it just does not matter.

It's a mistake I've made before as well. If your teammates are bad, you have to take that into account and slow things down so you don't get overwhelmed.

These are the same people who don’t know how to do the heroic taken blight events. Blueberries...
-
The same reason they don't capture points in Control. They're dumb.

Edited by JBO: 7/8/2018 10:33:40 AMIn all fairness grounded is by far the worst modifier in my opinion since it goes completely against everything that makes sense in a game with mobility like this one. Plus it forces a restriction on that mobility which happens to be a major fun factor of the game. I don't know why people have such a hard time handling those modifiers though. None of them are particularly difficult. Some of them just happen to be anti fun.
not Blackout though. I'm not being sarcastic either. I actually like blackout save for the taken phalanx boss due to the shield boop counting as melee damage.
Because the majority of people are idiots. I can’t stand when people ignore the modifiers on heroic strikes and it just ends up harder than it needs to be. Waste of time.

5 RepliesI was bored and tested peoples reaction by running a solar class during arc week. 6 people quit during 1 strike. Obviously I finished with no trouble. Odd that people care that much. Dont get me wrong I always run the correct burn weapons and watch the other modifiers but it seems this game has turned into a snob factory full of pansies who are upset over everything other people do yet cant hold their own.
-
I just forget the one where you cant jump.
-
Idk. But I’m tired of carrying dumb hunters under light level who use telesto and arc strider when it’s solar burn and fatal melee. Also that and warlocks who pop their rifts right where they’re being shot so they’ll just die in the rift animation. And everyone who camps power

1 ReplySleeper does more damage.
-
2 RepliesI ask myself that every time I run Strikes. It takes < 5 seconds to look at the modifiers. I realize Singe doens't make as much difference as D1 Burns do, but jumping around like a monkey while Grounded is in play is just plain dumb.
-
well I am 385 and I ignore them because the singes have close to no real impact compared when I use a load out that has some synergies. And its easy enough to not care about singes or mods (except airborne and blackout, in which case I simply don't play strikes at that day since blackout is annoying, especially when everything counts as "melee".. even the Shield back, the AoE Damage and the wall bursts in lake of shadows.. its just a waste of time because you are most likely to die several times at the boss at certain strikes, so just wait until the next day)
-
I dont care if jump once and die on grounded, we've all done it. but if you just hover in the air constantly as a warlock? im outta here
-
"Why do people ignore heroic modifiers?" Because morons and stuff...
-
2 RepliesThey don't ignore them, their just really bad at the game.
-
1. People are arrogant 2. Casuals 3. They don’t even know there are modifiers
-
did you ever think that maybe these people you have been playing are bad because nobody never took the time to teach them
-
8 Repliesand we think we want raid matchmaking...
-
Some daily challenges require solar kill even if it’s void or arc singe
-
17 RepliesEdited by Puma Kane: 7/7/2018 12:17:58 PMBecause elemental modifiers have little impact in terms of killing and most people use kinetic weapons anyways, so... Do yourself a favor and tend only to your loadout. It'll save you a headache.
-
Another reason some people don't match the singe is this game makes it so dam difficult to actually get the mods you need to change your weapons, then charges you again once you have them to actually use them! Bloody stupid system.
-
5 RepliesWhy do people ignore heroic debuffs, you mean. Not modifiers. Modifier is something what's changing your ability, either by replacing or improving them. Debuff is something that takes it away. The answer is then that tracking debuffs isn't fun. P.S. Also, it seems like you are one of those people who still naively believe that grounded can be negated by avoiding jumping. In fact, you don't have to jump to experience intrinsic joy of being grounded; just try walking on stairs or uneven ground or over small bumps while under fire to appreciate it fully.

4 RepliesReally? Well aren`t you special. You`re just the kind of guy D2 was crafted for... Just a crying damn shame they went and sold it to a bunch of fools and tools that spoil your gaming experience. Guess it was a big error not to charge $25K for the game and $5K a month to play to keep the riff-raff out..

Why do people ignore the Heroic modifiers?
To increase the challenge, considering how low D2 difficulty is.
