Year One Destiny 2 Gear Carrying Forward Into Forsaken
Forsaken players will be able to take all their favorite year 1 weapons and armor and bring them up to the new power cap. Forsaken is required to obtain new power.

They have stated that all the development road map updates are free. ‘Weapon randomisation’ is one of those updates. It’s not free if the only weapons it affects are DLC weapons. Edit: Just to clarify what I mean in my post. Once September hits and I choose to play Destiny 2(I will not have any of the DLCs), will the Nameless Midnight, Better Devils and all Year 1 guns that drop have random perks, or still the static perks?

Yea they capped the fate-bringer in D1. It was too powerful to allow for the expansions. Outlaw with explosive rounds and firefly. Dragon fly is a dumbed down version of firefly. About the time I stopped playing D1.

7 RepliesWhat about power level grinding. As the light level is bumped up a ridiculous amount, will we still be restricted to milestones? Grinding 50 levels takes a good 3 weeks of being efficient on a single character after passing the LL of normal drops. The system of having heroic strikes drop gear up to 365 was a great idea as it encouraged grinding rather than playing one day put of a week. I feel like implementing this having more difficult activities drop higher engrams would not only emcourage endgame content but would allow people to do what they want. Currently doing 3 heroic strikes, roughly 5 crucible and 3 public events is annoying as i would like to simply raid. If anplayer wants to do public events to power level themselves then they should be able to(up to an extent) until higher LL calls for more challenging activities. My main concern is the length it will take to reach max LL if the cap is at 600. I do not want to rush it but as a d1 player I enjoy taking my time to grind for gear. These milestones are too simple and takes 1 day, maybe 2 afternoons, to complete everything so for a majority of the time people will be stuck waiting for the weekly reset. If Milestones are going to stay then can the gap between normal drops and max LL not be a ridiculous margin of 100+ as the SOS was released and rushed far before ANYONE was 380, yet to get day1 completion meant rather than grinding to be as efficient as possible, one aspect i hated as i would rather main one character, grind put to max, then help my alys with my hard work of reaching max.
