So just to be clear... Old weapons and armor won't be included in the September update??
So I've heard a rumor that our current weapons and armor may not be included in the mod and random rolls update coming in the September update/expansion. This sickens me just a little bit. I'm not ready to part with my Better Devil's and Manannannananannananan SR4 combo, nor will I be when September rolls around. So why is it that we can't update popular weapons from Year 1 going into year 2?? Why am I hearing that I'll have to leave all my favorite weapons from year one behind if I want to progress in year 2?? Are all my masterworked legendary favs only going to be usable in PVP like what happened in the year 1 to year 2 transition in D1, all made useless by power level limits??

So don’t delete the Mananan or the Better Devils? Just keep infusing them? They aren’t removing the guns, they just might not be dropping with random rolls.

Basically a dev said when interviewed about warmind and the EP Mode that they tried to bring random stats/rolls to the EP Armour set but ran out of time and when asked would they go back and add it for September he said nope but they may replace the Armour drops so people would have to get it again. People have been asking what will happen to current items in September since that interview and well Bungie have said they will cover it closer to release so the community is taking that as all items we currently have will be made obsolete. What I'm hoping is that the collection tab lets you make legendary items too and it will just be the case of crafting a new version with the updated system applied to it.
