2 RepliesWhy do we need an app after 4 years? Everything, everything should be in game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 ReplyCan someone tell me where the Aqueduct chest has gone this week? I've been to look for it twice with no luck.
-
Destiny2 is in lack of one thing now random mod/rolls raid loot needs to be a differant set of gear for each raid or lair. Trials loot should stand out in pvp along with iron banner with mods or perks that suit the roll even though i don't do pvp in deztiny2. Im enjoying playing again and will buy the season pass to get ready for septembers expansion now that a couple of clan members have returned. Raid/ironbanner/trials and nightfall all should have that unique set and they should be the only ones with static rolls.

don't care ! fix the progression system ! game is stupid at this point ! i'm starting to hate the milestones going from 350 to 352 and the rest of the game just ends up not worth playing for the week !

Edited by gentle_j84: 5/18/2018 5:19:27 PMWhile this TWAB was a decent one, it had some glaring problems. First off, the progression, It's not very good. In my opinion the progression that we had in year 3 was the best. We had a clear distinction of what rewarded what power level - patrol, strikes, heroic strikes, nightfall, iron banner, trials, raids, and hardmode raids. I think that's what is missing from the formula. Everything had it's place in the overall progression and more than most knew what to do to get there. Now we're seeing it get muddled a bit because so much of it depends on completing milestones and not much else. Second, the app is atrocious. I believe this is the worst iteration yet. Just revert back to the D1 style app( including grimiore) with a few added features and call it a day. No more major interface changes. How is it that third party designers who do this in their free time are able to make something better? That's just plain lazy. Third, making a solo playlist is not unhealthy and would be welcomed by the entire playerbase. It's something that we've been asking for since D1 Year 1. I do find it funny that now it's the excuse that they don't want to separate their ranking systems. It's always something. Their so blind to recognize that a solo players being matchmade against stacked teams is what's unhealthy. Lastly, nobody gives a shit about how well some person did against dmg and other Bungie employees. The only time we care is when Bungie plays against the playerbase in Bungie Bounties. Bungie Bounties are fun because we get to interact with the developers and we get something in-game. Warmind is definitely a step in right direction, but it still falls short of what is acceptable in development standards. We're repeating Destiny 1 and it's sad to say that this will more than likely be the case for Destiny 3 as well. Such a shame coming from what once was a legendary developer. TL:DR progression is meh, new app ui is bad, and solo playlist implementation would be a great thing.

24 RepliesEdited by DeathPony07: 5/18/2018 4:32:07 AMMake progression and infusion work exactly like they did in Year 3. Stop screwing over solo players to please the elitists that want the game to be annoying. You made this same mistake with D1, and then you fixed it in Year 3. Also, get rid of the unneeded prestige nightfall. It only exists for elitists to show off their scores that no one cares about. Get rid of the timer that stops us from gaining points, or make the timer 30 minutes like D1. Where are the exotics, bounty rewards, faction packages, and strike specific loot that were all guaranteed to be above our light level? We could grind for those things all the time. Do you not want people playing your game all the time? Everything in D2 should work the same as it did in D1. You had everything perfect, and then you threw it all out the window with D2.

Do u have coaches on site to lead stretching sessions so that you can shove your heads farther up your butts??? How can you be this clueless at this point in the franchise to understand what makes the game worth playing regularly?

7 RepliesEdited by MouthMaggot: 5/18/2018 5:13:12 PMI beg of you to never use the term Legend again. Til your actually even with the content and fun of D1 you should ground yourself for attempting to claim a victory And use the be a Legend phrase. Give me a break we are fighting and begging for shit that we have had since day 1 of D1. You can claim your actually added something almost useful for once in game. But to claim your super excited over the small almost of none existent more for us to finally do again shit after months and months of asking? Pathetic Pass the pipe. Because it must be some good shit

1 ReplyPeople a Bungie are smoking some serious crack. The TWAB continues to prove just how out of touch with the player base they are. Once Star Field, Rage 2 and Anthem come out, Destiny will be this game people USED to play.
-
4 RepliesMakes soft cap 345. Is shocked there's a progression wall at 345. Only you Bungie. Only you.
-
Im rank 52 for vanguard and have only gotten one strike catalyst to drop i dont even wanna count how many strikes plus normal prestige nightfalls this took and got 1. You seriously need to tweak the drop rate on these im not saying hand them out but this is just ridiculous

25 RepliesThe fact that Bungie has the gall to state that progression is improved compared to Curse of Osiris makes it quite clear they don’t understand how progression should work or what has been unsatisfactory with the system since launch. As long as progression is limited by availability of weekly milestones to climb with, the “grind” will be an unsatisfactory crawl bottlenecked by stupid RNG and ultimately disincentivizing play after milestones are finished. While it is true to some extent that things like exotic catalysts help mitigate lack of reasons to continue play, there is way too much RNG on catalysts actually dropping, and far too many exotic weapons are excluded from having masterworks. It is downright frustrating to not have catalysts even possible for the weapons one tends to use. Trying to make Light matter more was done in the worst way possible. The player facing problem with the scaling of the system was not how it acted when below the recommended level, but rather the lack of clear improvements to character performance as they climb further and further above recommended level for an activity. Either scrap the light system entirely and give up on having such a leveling system, or make it more relevant on the above-recommended side of things. Light system aside, enemies, especially hive knights on Mars (particularly in Heroic content), are obnoxiously bullet spongey, and the emphasis on matching elements to enemy shields is contrived, not engaging, and only further emphasizes dumb design that simply makes kinetic weapons feel bad. I appreciate that Bungie tried to acknowledge some of the issues in this release, but it’s not enough, and they’re too far off the mark in too many places in the game right now. Also, Sweet Business and Jade Rabbit need more love. So does the weapon sandbox across the board. Iteration on the sandbox is far too slow right now, and if Bungie wants the game to ever have a chance for being taken seriously for meaningful competition or eSports stuff, they need to step it up big time.

Do you guys think you could maybe fix the clan engram glitch? It still stuck at 345 rather than the powerful gear it claims

Nice! Happy to see Heroic Strikes are being addressed and should be dropping loot that'll take us to 360! Props for the nice roadmap and addressing the bigger issues the community has, and especially for staying positive and cheery amid the waves of toxicity on this forum.

5 RepliesI'm having a great time with this expansion! What are people talking about with the soft cap!? I blew past that the first week! Am 357 now with 2 milesstones left on my main? Why should we expect to hit max light after a week? There is so much to explore and do right now that we shouldn't be complaining about crap like light level or end game events being impossible. What game have you ever jumped into and gone straight to the end boss? Why should escalation protocol be any different?

Edited by Muds: 5/19/2018 6:55:37 AMOkay, okay, soooo Warmind 🤔, well a good step in the right direction, some good criticism from all sides on all accounts, one thing that I see that stands out the most is 'matchmaking' soooo why not make some kind of board/vendor in the tower (basically in game, easily accessible) where there would be tabs for Raids, Trials, Nightfalls etc. similar to the app, people fill the required team and away they go, simplicity at its best, food for thought so have a chomp 😉👍
and always remember to keep it tea 😏
Ok cool now can we get a matchmaking for raids & nightfalls without leaving the game ?

1 ReplyEdited by sparkyinkansas: 5/18/2018 2:45:17 PMIn rise of iron the faction rewards would take u to max level light maybe you could do the same with planetary characters each planets you turn tokens into will give u a powerful engram making an opportunity to actually grind the edz and Titan for tokens for good rewards

4 RepliesI’m an idiot, a real idiot, because I thought this game was being ran by a capable team of developers who had experience with the game. Clearly I was wrong as you guys don’t seem to have an idea at all as to what you are doing, why I say this you ask?, because you are talking about fixing an issue with a fix Destiny 1 had literally 2 years ago. The game had a tiered progression system that was improved on for RoI, yet now it’s like that never happened, how is it possible that you are trying to come up with solutions to issues you fixed 2 years ago. Come on guys this like we’re back to the days of freakin pre Dark Bellow, i just don’t understand. Also please make a freaking test server already, Overwatch does on PC, tell them to make you one because we can’t keep releasing updates full or more bugs than it tries to fix. Anyway I will admit this changes do look promising (or well then again every change has and so far it’s been problem after problem), hopefully it’s implemented the right way, you know like how it was 2 years ago. Good luck because you seem to really need it. Oh and thanks for not having Deej do the update, specially since he doesn’t seem to understand the difference between progression being just bad or players just complaining because the system is too hard without actually checking if it’s working properly.

1 ReplyHey dmg04, Just ran a number of heroic strikes with a couple of clan mates (who have decided to explore the expansion - sadly a lot still haven’t yet). Thoughts below: The modifiers today were void singe (poor mans burn?) blackout (no radar) & brawler (lightswitch reborn anew). This was not fun (ok it was in the lake of shadows - when we watched our flailing guardians succumb to a wall blast from hell or a taken shield blast). Basically we eventually found ourselves routinely skipping strikes as those particular modifiers made some of them laborious/tedious/cheap beyond belief (we currently around 350 power)- we are a little stunned tbh that you guys don’t play test this a little more? Unless you are testing at max light only? At present the heroic strike playlist is a minefield where each strike has a set of burns placed upon it that cripple progression and make the whole thing a complete chore. If you are going to place burns on like brawler & blackout at least offset with a strong burn that assists the player and makes them feel empowered? I get why you have crippled the fast track to high light to extend the content till September - but at the same time if you are lucky enough to have 6 active clan members then why bother with heroics at all? Just run the raid over & over to your hearts content I guess. The problem is this approach does not exactly help me win back clan members who we have lost to fortnite etc.. the one activity we do all want to play as a clan together is escalation protocol and we won’t be able to play it till we are approaching 370/380power ! Enter the long grind - which I have tbh most aren’t up for at this point. I don’t know what the answer is here? you listened to the youtubers at the summit and they all wanted the end game made harder - well congrats objective achieved. Unfortunately this has seemingly slowed actual progression to a snails pace unless everyone in your clan comes back at the same time raid ready. Please can you find a way to balance the burns and make the heroics more rewarding - so this becomes a fun evening activity after a long day at work rather than a grindfest to gain 1 power level. Cheers.

Can we expect a rework of the three of coins? I mean if you’re going to lower the power light level of exotics, Why not rework it so that it has a chance to drop powerful Engram’s?

Solid twab👍🏽
