this is just sad. we had the fun for almost 3 years now the friendlist is empty or people play something else.
Bungo what have you done to a once great and fantastic game? instend of making things better you made things worse and unenjoyable.

2 RepliesThen get better friends!

29 RepliesI think they get this. ...and I think its why they're working so hard to fix the game. They traded one fanbase for a different.....more casual....one. But the problem is that causal gamers aren't the ones who invest in clans, and big friend lists. I believe Bungie is just as motivated by community building, as they are by making games and making money. ...and they realized that they are now stuck with a fanbase that they can't build communities around. So they are trying to win back the one that they were able to....but took for granted. Its like cheating on your wife or girlfriend....only to realize that the mistress isn't all that...and you didn't realize how much you would miss your steady until she was gone.

1 ReplyHonestly? Two things: 1) Bungie's own ego is getting in their own way. They aren't going to get the lighting of Halo to strike a second time. This is a far different game market than when Halo made its debut. 2) Bungie is trying to shoe-horn Destiny into a competitive shooter that it never will be. Destiny is (and wants/needs to be) an MMORPG-Looter-Shooter-FPS-hybrid. Despite what Bungie wants, they need to embrace this ideology, and really start designing the game towards that. Back off on the hyper-focus-on-PvP, and let the community know that the PvP not only is not balanced, but that it never will be in a game like Destiny. Focus on the PvE side, make the game and give it the depth of Character and Class customization that a game like this needs to have, as well as -TRUE- Weapon and Armor Crafting, and do it over an FFXIV-style rebuild/reboot if that's what it takes. Ok, there's a third thing as well... 3) Bungie needs to renegotiate that contract with Activi$ion, if for no other reason than to give themselves the time and space to make Destiny what it should have been all along. they also need to quit being cheap-asses, and spend the money to put this franchise on Unreal 4. While there's a certain novelty in owning and using your own studio-built game engine, it should be obvious by now that this experiment has been a crushing failure. And a fourth... I should really start planning this shit out... 4) Once Bungie achieves 1-3, they need to reorganize their upper management. Certain people (like Wiesznewski) do not need to be in design-decision positions. I'm not saying to fire them, but watching their interviews is cringe-worthy for the sheer level of disconnect between the game that they are trying to force-feed to everyone, and the game that Destiny wants/needs to be. But it all boils down to ego. Bungie is their own worst enemy in the current state of the franchise. If they can just set aside their own ego, and devote themselves to making the world-shaking changes/reboot necessary, then they could do some truly amazing things with this franchise. If they could just set that ego aside...

4 RepliesI come home from work and have a full list of friends to play Warframe with. You should try it, fun game. Lots of things to do and chase.

2 RepliesMember when there would be tons of posts saying "people still play this game?" In regards to destiny 1? You know why right? Because tons of people were quitting left and right. Who's left here today are the small pocket of diehard fanboys that put up with 3 years of bs

6 RepliesD1 was brand new and had somewhat of a grace period. The community would get upset at certain things, but they were much more forgiving because they knew they were working things out. And let's be clear, D1 had moments when it was not fantastic. Little things I can remember towards the beginning like, Xur not selling heavy ammo for weeks, Mythoclast, Thorn, Last Word destroying in PVP which lead to nerfs (I didn't mind though, some did), VoG 29 to 30 was absurd just waiting reset after reset for one item, heavy disappearing after wiping, items were not separated in a vault by tabs, didn't have an app to transfer weapons. Many adjustments were made over time to get it acceptable towards the last year or so. Now D2, the grace period has ended and the players are on to the next new game. Expectations were high and were not met. So it's not surprising that you see friends play other games that is not Destiny.

1 Reply#NOFEEDBACK
-
Even in the lowest times of D1, I had at least a page of friends playing. I haven't seen anyone on in D2 in over a month. Not going to grind to get a new set of friends. D2 is not worth it.
-
Haven't had a full friends list playing D1 since November 2014

I miss school with no worries in life....... Destiny should not be your life plan!

1 ReplyI quite agree, almost my entire friends list is made up with people I met player D1, we hopped on at the start of D2 most had vanished within a month, I am the last person who regularly plays D2. I don't want to make a new friends list, I want my old chums back *sniff sniff* Must reflect the numbers of people playing still I guess.

4 Repliesthey are working on it, and BTW, this is FEEDBACK. People need to stop being afraid of #feedback, 90%ish of everything posted is feedback, deal with it and learn to follow the category rules.
