Never read them. I did however listen to Ghost Stories while at work.

Yeah! It’s hard to tell drunken folktale’s without the folklore......

1 ReplyQuick perspective check. Collecting grimoire is being viewed as a great activity. Tis ironic because Bungo caught so much crap for having the grimoire. Ad d1 was so content scarce and such low quality that collecting lore cards was fun

Scan object Expect to see grimoire collected Nothing appears I cri

Grimoire wasn’t a problem in D1. I liked collecting/reading them. The problem was that it wasn’t in-game. For D2, I thought they would actually listen to us and put it in the game like a codex or something. Nope ... just kill it. Stupid.
-
1 ReplyI was definitely NOT a fan of grimoire (and how it was 100% of the lore in D1), but now in the absence of any lore, collectibles, etc. I definitely miss it. Alright, I'm gonna go on a bit of a rant here... This is a perfect example of Bungie either being hilariously clueless or totally uninterested in what we want. Grimoire was a sore subject in D1 because of the lack of in-game story. Having Grimoire in the game wasn't the problem, it was having it completely take the place of any story-telling that was the issue. What do they do for D2? Take the whole thing out (and though there is more story in D2 than there is in D1, calling it half-assed would be generous). There were collectibles that you could search for in every single content release until D2. Just another example of D2 being a watered-down/neutered version of Destiny.
-
nope , it was a annoyance if people wouldn't let you raid because you didn't collect dead ghosts and other useless grimore stuff, getting rid of it was actually one of the few good things D2 introduced
-
Not especially.
-
Not yet. Still need 75 Doubles wins....wish it was always playable.
-
Bungie are wastemen nowadays, sad ting mad ting
-
1 ReplyYup. Another thing they took out to cater to the scrubs. It was also an AMAZING way to fact check people when they claimed things they weren’t it showed who really put in the time they made this game so casual, even the casuals don’t like it
-
I do miss grimoire, atleast the search for ghosts. But that would not save this game.. Feels like a bad copy from a Bollywood developing team. Destiny my guardian even had some words to say. But now the only thing it yells is when she/he dies..
-
I believe a lot of D1 players were searching every a lot of suspicious places and areas for signs of a dead ghost when D2 first came out. I know I was, but to our disappointment, there are no dead ghosts to find. :'(
-
Not really. Only done it when there was nothingggg to do. I’d rather they just have more activities to do
-
No it created elitism when it just meant they had more spare time then others
-
Honestly same here it was something that passed the time if I didn’t have anything else to do.
-
I miss collecting Dead Ghosts, Calcified Fragments, and SIVA Clusters. It was fun and kept players engaged even in content droughts.
-
no. but there needs to be a codex at least
-
It was fun to see how many weapons I had with certain weapons, or how many strike completions I had. I even miss PvP medals for the same reason.
-
Random garbage back then was better trash!
-
More than anything!!!

Edited by BatchBoys2: 3/20/2018 10:29:07 PMA perfect solution to the grimoire problem is to have a system like Battlefield One. BF1 has a system where you collect cards by completing various challenges, and you can view them in game. They are almost exactly like Grimoire cards. Funny how D2 came out a year later and couldn’t figure out a solution to the lore when Bf1 did it for them.
also, speaking or things you do on a toilet, writing forum posts is one
I miss D2 not being a piece of excrement , twabs being exiting and bungie not being the lmbeciles they have become
-
I did enjoy the scoring and reading and discussing it during Raids or waiting at the tower for people to come back from breaks plus the score was a indicator of how much someone played now we just have to take peoples word for how much they have done
-
I liked the weapon ones, those cards tracked my stats for a specific weapon.
