Hunters have been my favorite since year one of D1. But with the major nerfs they received in D2, they are easily the worst class for both pvp and pve. They get no armor for their golden gun, not to mention slower shooting time. The golden gun super does not last long enough. Tether should be a one shot kill and quiver should allow 3 arrows max. The only good thing hunters have going for them is going invisible. And that is only available on one class. Many time have i gotten a hit marker with golden gun, when another player is in their supper why do i have to two shot them when i get one shot. And one time i forgot to take off celestial nighthawk and got a hit marker on a striker titan. This SHOULD NOT happen. Golden gun is in need of the biggest buff. But I think i would be able to look past most of this if the dodge ability wasnt so terrible. Most reload animations are faster than the dodge ability and why would I need to dodge to reload when a titan can just put down rally barricade and the whole team gets to reload and keep guns like sweet business and coldheart at their full damage potential. Shade step was actually useful in D1 but this dodge ability, which you can still die in the middle of, is borderline useless.

6 RepliesIs this a joke post or something? Hahaha. Hunters are the strongest class in the game. The night-stalker is the strongest subclass in the game. With their smoke and grenades and shadestep granting an instant smoke bomb back and invis causing opponents to lose aim assist on them, their neutral game cannot be matched by any other class. Did I mention, invis shadestep regenerates every 18 seconds or so, the fastest of any class ability in the game. Golden gun, while it does have short duration, is still the most powerful and consistent roaming super in the game. They want the golden gun super to take more skill to use effectively now, so they implemented head-shot bonuses into the bottom golden gun tree. You get tremendous bonuses when you head-shot with your golden gun. More damage and for one-shotting supers and a tremendous amount of time to use it. Even in Destiny 1, golden gun has never had an armor buff while supered. It makes it too unfair because of how accurate and long-reaching golden gun is. The only under-powered class for the hunter is maybe the arcstrider but even they have a pretty decent neutral game with their grenades and exotics.
