I can't confirm because I can't find the source, don't quote me on that, but I remember reading somewhere that, if you hit the Tower, the tracker counts as a PVE player. If you hit any Crucible Map, it count as a PVP player. There's some crazy overlaping in there, so PVE may actually not even be that good. Some people might be logging for clan rewards at only. Also, the tracker takes numbers from D1 as well, as they share servers. So, it's even lower than that. I'd love to see how long each of those tracked players stood in game. I wonder how long until destinytracker takes the counter from their site permanently.
