They have to populate the crucible somehow if they didn't force us there will be no one there

PvP wouldn't be so bad if you could get good rewards for the experience. I used to suffer through Iron Banner matches in D1 over and over because you frequently would get high powered weapons and armor. The problem now is that you can play ten matches in a row and walk away with less rewards then you could get just cruising through patrols, adventures and public events. There really is no incentive for most players to suffer the crucible now. Bungie has to keep forcing it on us to earn one decent reward a week. Or to earn the worthless Dawning Milestone which grants you the right to play five more strikes for some silly token.

You do realize that the flipside of this argument is that there are players who are thinking "God why are they forcing me to play strikes when all I want to do is play pvp.

Just going to leave this here: "Milestones of Winter Engage in Crucible Mayhem or become legend in Strikes and you'll be rewarded. " This quote was pulled directly from the Dawning event news page. Notice how it says "or". The problem is they say that, and then make the milestone wrong. The way this statement reads, many people thought they'd actually get to skip the PvP portion and still get rewards. And yet Bungie has lied to us once again.

So you play a game that has PVP and PVE aspects and you complain it has PVP? That is kinda strange in it's own. But you do have a point that if you want the crucible engram you have to suffer through it, i would like to get the clan engram for Trials as wel... but i won't hold my breath. Now i could join a Trials clan, but i won't. But let's flip it around, you think its fair PVP players are forced to do the Strike/nightfall/raid every week?

I hate pvp also, I see the crucible milestone, ehhhhh 4-6 games for a powerful engram. I do it sometimes. I just finished a milestone playing mayhem, mayhem is pretty fun, I will probably do the milestone 2 more times this week.

I agree with being forced to play crucible. Why can't it be either crucible or a pve?

So many people, especially PvP haters, try to create a label or genre of what they think this game is and ignore reality. It's been called a "looter shooter" and you guys think PvP has nothing to do with the game or shouldn't be in the game, that this game was strictly marketed as a PvE game. Hate to break it to you guys, but you're wrong. PvP is part of this game. It is intended to be in the game and will stay in the game. And as such, certain quests will in fact integrate certain features of the game, including PvP. This game is trying to be an MMO, although a poor one. That said, most MMOs do have PvP and quests associated with them. You can think PvP is not or should not be the end game, but Raids are not the only end game. All of your looting and shooting is not just meant for you to shoot NPCs or gather dust in your vault. It's also meant to be used against other players. PvP just simply is intended to be in the game. You knew that when you bought this game and the first game. It's kind of like all these people that bought The Division. The Dark Zone, the free for all PvP area was heavily marketed and when the game came out, people bought it and cried that the Dark Zone was reality. You people knew about these features when buying these games. They are intended and will be used. You can't play an MMO style game and expect to only play solo. That is not and has never been the point of an MMO style game. Sorry for the long wall of text, wasn't quite the intention. Also not trying to be rude, but logic is seriously flying out the door on this forum daily. Again, also not defending Bungie's poor handling of this game either, just using logic here.

Forced to play PVE AGAIN Why do I have to play PVE to progress the dawning event? I don’t want to play pve, if I did I wouldn’t be playing destiny. You keep forcing those of us who don’t want/enjoy pve to have to suffer through gathering on a planet just to progress an event that shouldn’t even include pve. You keep forcing us to play pve just to say look at how many people we have or are playing are competitive side of the game. You ruined the weapons to balance pve (icebreaker), it should be a completely separate entity to the game. They only cross over should be iron banner but you’ve nerfed that as well. Sick and tired of you shoving pve down players throats who don’t want or didn’t ask for it. there i fixed it... your welcome

Plus 100... Yeah, nobody is [u]forcing[/u] anyone to play it if they don't want the rewards. So, I did my weekly call to arms even though mayhem is so stupid it hurts. My reward? A 5th set of 335 gauntlets (3rd Shinobu's Vow), my only piece of hunter armor already at 335.

The dawning sucks balls anyway. I Dislike pvp so ikoras shit quest can just sit there. The rewards are just dawning event cosmetics anyway so don’t stress not doing it. Until they make pvp a 6v6 again and fook off the damn tokens for having to endure it then I’m strictly a pve player.

I to dislike PVP, the only reason I do it once a week is for the milestone... The only good thing about the dawning part of PVP is that you can complete the Milestone while doing it

I love mayhem and it was really fun in D1... i played one game yesterday (went pretty well) but its wasnt fun at all... saw that it only got me 20% and i turned the game off.
