Content of the DLC aside, do we really want to send the message to Bungie and Activision that we will buy their product no matter what? With all the uproar about Microtransactions, and the deliberately rigged Experience points system I think it's a good time to put the foot down.

I won't play this game ever again.

2 RepliesWish I could, but Season Pass got to me first. I regret that decision.

The only way I would even consider logging on for it is if it was given away as restitution for the lies and deceit and scam that this game has been so far, and I know for a fact that there is no way in any religion's hell that they will. We need to stop associating Bungie with Activision. Bungie is Activision's right arm. They don't work under Activision, they are it! Rather than boycotting 1 expansion for this game, you're better off boycotting the entire company and doing something in the real world, or playing indie games/foreign made games that actually have quality.

Not a deliberate boycott but Assasins Creed Origins is a masterpiece compared to D2. I can’t put it down! When I need some PVP action I hit up Divisions Last Stand, is that crazy or what. I thought I would be playing D2 like crazy. Meh!
-
If I could I would. Unfortunately I had faith that bungie actually make this game...well better than they did. Now I have a season pass that I don't even want. Might as well try to to get $15 worth out of it.
-
I've already dropped Destiny 2. So I'm definitely not buying CoO.
-
1 ReplyWe won't boycott it you tool, and neither will you. This topic has come up at EVERY expansion since the launch of D1. Once the expansion drops our rosters will be full of all of the old players, there'll be a huge surge of activity for about a month or so. Then it'll die off. Just like it has since the beginning.
-
1 ReplyI’ve currently no plans, or drive to buy the expansion. Not enjoying D2 anywhere near as much as I’d hoped I would. We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds. Until then I’m holding on to my cash.
-
I'm not gonna play it on the first couple of days (already paid due to preorder). Not sure if that counts as a boycott lol but I don't think I'd buy it if I hadn't already.

I am iv not played for months. I bought the $140+ dollar version. I'm done... I'll come back and see after the 2nd dlc

1 ReplyEdited by Aurik Kal Durin: 11/29/2017 8:26:57 PMAre you kidding me? What Bungie has done with XP and Bright Engrams is nothing compared to what EA has done in Star Wars: Battlefront II with it's predatory business practices and pay-2-win microtransaction. Bright Engrams by comparison are nothing; most of the items they give are purely cosmetic. The fact that they contain some armor and weapon mods is barely worth bringing up, since you can get those same mods much more easily by farming glimmer and gunsmith materials. Compared to what 343 Industries did with Halo 5 and EA with Battlefront II, Bright Engrams are nothing. In short, it's not something worth boycotting over. Though it would be nice if Bungie were more transparent about these things in the future.

I am going to play it because I love the lore and universe, kinda the only reason I care about the game at this point. To think I used to take crucible as a lifestyle
-
2 RepliesHell No! I bought the Deluxe edition with both DLC's and I'm gonna enjoy them

This planet is in for a world of hurt when you angst ridden entitled teenagers come of age and start running the show. ugh...( shudders)

13 RepliesBy all means, you boycott the game. As for me, il be here, playing the game I enjoy and paying for all future dlc and content. Why? Because I find it fun. And I like doing things that are fun.
-
2 RepliesWhat does this accomplish? Denying Bungie the funds to make the game better?

8 RepliesDont buy it then, quit the game, we wont miss any of you. We will enjoy it regardless of whether you forum weirdos even touch it. We wont know if you do or dont, and we wont care. Lmao
-
4 RepliesYeah you put that foot down. Honestly this is the most childish post ive seen to date. I may give up gaming completely so i dont get associated with entitled turds.
-
You can try, but I doubt enough people will boycott the DLC to make any kind of impression on Bungie or Activision.

2 RepliesI didn't preorder the DLC basically because they didn't commit to a new raid with either DLC and because of the house of wolves. What are they promising? No new raid until September.... maybe.... and focusing instead on more yawn inducing content on the largest public event, I mean raid, in the game. The raid flat out sucks. It's nothing but a long series of ad pulls and puzzles. BORING! Now they screw with XP to ensure if you want a good chance at one of the new emotes or other material in bright engrams you won't get it unless you buy via micro transactions. I love the game play but the lack of content and repeat playability is still surprising. I assume things like nightfall will be taken away unless you buy the DLC following the D1 pay to keep playing pattern they used but as I don't ever see anyone playing this game anymore I'm not sure that's a huge loss.
