15 RepliesIt's because you already had exotic boots equipped. This drastically increases the chances that exotic engrams decode into more boots. This is a known thing.

Aside from armor not being shown in description screen, if one assumes all exotics are in the pool (so let's round off to 20 items) the odds of that happening is about 1 in 53,000. It's happened to me and others I've played with. And my Destiny friends list is waaaaayyyyyy short of 50,000.
