Simply put as the title states. A simple request for bungie developers, customer support/service, cozmo, DeeJ, or who ever else witnesses these forum posts to provide some actual proof that the company is actually listening to the community’s concerns.
This is in no way a toxic approach or degrading rant about the Destiny 2 product. It is simply asking how do you plan to OR if you intend on fixing any of the many mentioned issues in the game stemming from the token based loot reward system, lack of unique stat rolls in weapons and gear, 4 v 4 pvp for every single game mode, raid specific loot being of cosmetic value only etc etc. Those are a few I seem to see mentioned a lot on the forums.
I’m just more interested in an actual catered response directed towards your consumers in an environment where the majority of users come for feedback and real time updates. If you have no fix actions and the game is exactly the way you intended it to be, then say that. It will be much more appreciated than any volume of silence. At least it will be honest and directed from you, the creator, and remove all speculation from your player base. Again, just looking for someone inside the company to speak out and at least let us know you are listening without a generic “we see you, and are working on it” kind of response.
Side note: Thanks again for all you have done and continue to do. Satisfying everyone at once is a difficult and unrealistic expectation. While the game may not be what many of us have expected it to be it has its strong points as well so thank you for that as well.
Sincerely,
A destiny player from D1
Edit: man I never thought so many people would actually respond and keep this conversation alive and going. Thank you to all of you who have taken the time out to push this up as high as it has gone. Hopefully we all see something whether positive or negative. The non generic response from bungie is all that matters.
Edit 2: so COZMO replies by means of copy and paste from TWAB and quoted “needed time to gather a response”. 😂😂😂 point taken. Now I’ll keep pushing for a reply that isn’t of such “thought” where you can’t say what you feel, rather you point me to a post that I already read. Who’s with me ??? Make bungie talk !!!!

1 ReplyYou know its gonna be a lame response.

Well shit

I almost never care enough to do more than read these forums... But Destiny 2 (although a game I enjoy) has been one of the biggest disappointments in my gaming life.
lack of unique stat rolls in weapons and gear
So.... Here's what Bungie said. "There aren't random rolls on weapons anymore. Better Devils is a Crucible hand cannon [in Destiny 2], and what it has on it is what it has on it. Period," "You can look at all the hand cannons now [for example] and track the data for everything," "It's gonna give us more flexibility to do per-item tuning," "[That's] something we haven't had before because of the way we were building the [first] game." "How can my second, third, and tenth Better Devils hand cannon be interesting? That's a question we should be asking and answering as quickly as we can," "We have ideas. While I would like nothing more than to share those ideas with you..." http://www.pcgamer.com/destiny-2s-weapons-and-armor-wont-have-random-rolls/ "I’m still a pretty big supporter of the change." "With respect to making duplicates matter, this is still one of the things we have ideas for." http://wccftech.com/destiny-2-director-players-level-capped/ There. That's been addressed.
4 v 4 pvp for every single game mode
And are you going to be looking at how you can rework those larger crucible games like Rumble and Clash which were 6v6, or are they gone complet... Lars Bakken: It’s gone. Right, so it's not something you guys might revisit or rework in the future? Like could we see 6v6 return, but maybe on a larger map? Lars Bakken: I think at this point it would be very difficult to go back to those types of experiences and the reason I say that is because the entire game was created around this 4v4 focus. I wouldn’t even know where to start. Like do you know double the team size or like create bigger maps. It’s not like we couldn’t do it, it’s just there are so many things that are fundamentally reliant on how the systems connect, it would be pretty difficult to do. Sorry I have to break fans hearts. I believe the experience is so good that I want them to play it and see it for themselves. So there's that.
raid specific loot being of cosmetic value only etc etc
I haven't heard anything on this yet, but no armor is actually cosmetic, they have stats that differ depending on what kind of armor it is.

3 RepliesWhen they told us that it would be better than D1 I thought 💭no way!? And then when this game was released I wasn’t really surprised I really just was depressed from that.

They don't respond to 3000 up votes posts .. YOU NEED 3000 tokens!!! For a response and 6000 tokens will get you a letter from Puke Smith

I hope everyone here does their part to keep this post alive!

1 ReplyStill trending? 3100 upvotes to simply hear a reply from bungie? You won't see cozmo on this one, which is ironic and very typical of bungie. I'm so sick of the bullshit with this company. I truly hope their lack of competence and/or arrogance bites them in the ass one day.

1 ReplyMaybe I've been working in prison too long.. or maybe I'm right in thinking this community manager is a bitch. I mean that in the most disrespectful way possible. Seriously dude, 3 thousand upvotes and you stay silent? You are a straight up pussy. You really went this far in life getting punked? What does it feel like to be a bitch your whole life? I have zero respect for you. Absolutely none.

2 RepliesDid anyone try calling them?

Its all internet BS, thats probably what we are going to get

Keep up the pressure everyone. Glad to see the community actually coming together for once in search of a common goal! I think as a nod to the developers we can ask the OP to post some our most wanted and desired features to the game that would improve the current debacled state of Destiny 2. Any suggestions?

2 RepliesWow, 3k upvotes.. You would expect some sort of response..

1 Reply3k up votes and still no response, bungie you cowards

2 RepliesI've put in my fair share of hours on D2, I don't have a whole lot of perspective as I joined in on D1 toward the end... I've read about and talked to friends about the issues they had with D1 upon release and it seemed like Bungie was attentive to their customer's desires (eventually) and fixed many of the issues that were plaguing D1, obviously you're not going to make everyone happy, but I had a lot of fun in D1. That being said, I've also enjoyed the time I've put in to D2. Lets talk a little bit about what I think Bungie has done right in D2. The mini-map is great, being able to see the public events and set a markers, fast travel, all of that I really appreciate, it went a long way toward streamlining the game. The core game play is smooth and looks great and at lower power levels I never ran out of things to do, the game was pretty exciting. ...Fast-forward to now, when even most casual players are pushing toward (or already have) maxed out their power level and perhaps started an alternate character. This is obviously where D2 starts to drop off and become super uninteresting. When you first start you've got lost sectors, patrols, adventures, public events, story line quests etc. to do and you are continually getting new, more powerful loot, which is fairly standard for any RPG-type game, you make quick progress at the beginning and then it's more of a grind later on. Unfortunately for D2 this is not the case as at higher power levels your options are nil... I'm sure they will add a higher power level cap with coming DLC but this doesn't really solve the problem, it just gives you a few more days (weeks?) of content and in the end you are in the same boat as you are now with nothing to do in the game that really makes you feel that you are making progress. Like I said before, until recently I've truly enjoyed the time I've put in to D2, but at it's heart I think it is a game with an identity crisis. In Bungie's attempt at a new(ish?) genre, combining some MMORPG and FPS elements I feel like that ended up with the worst of both. Bungie ended up with some kind of bastardized version of a game genre that is leaving a LOT (just look at how active this thread is) of their player base feeling abandoned. Take a look at successful FPS games, the things that cause people to keep coming back to them or stick with them for a long period of time. Typically (at least for me) what keeps me coming back to a good FPS is a thriving pvp experience and a fairly long, engaging campaign, but mostly the competitive pvp. D2's pvp, while fairly enjoyable, does not have a very competitive feel to it, definitely not when compared to games like Halo or CoD. This is probably because other than completing your milestones to get better power loot, there's not a whole lot of motivation to play pvp in D2. Also with respect to the RPG side of the game, the things that keep people playing RPGs for a long time are lacking. People keep coming back to RPGs for the loot grind and being able to feel that they are perpetually making progress, in D2 making progress comes to an extremely abrupt halt once you reach max (or close to max) power level. Also if you want to make D2 an immersive RPG give us a more complex skill tree, add a few different types of loot and let us equip all of our exotics at the same time (or make them more powerful/harder to get) add set items with cumulative bonuses, let us feel like we actually accomplished something from that random encounter with an elite, maybe add some crafting elements so we don't feel like we are picking up weird plants and materials for nothing? I think that to keep people coming back to an RPG you need end-game content and to that end, D2 has got nothing. I say all that to say this, I'm not giving up on D2 yet. I've always liked Bungie, even since the days of Myth. I'm willing to give Bungie the benefit of the doubt, the game hasn't really been out that long in the grand scheme of things and there is plenty of opportunity for Bungie to seize this opportunity and prove that they care about what we care about. I believe D2 has some real challenges facing it going in to the future of the game and I truly hope Bungie rises to the occasion and takes the game and makes it something amazing.

3 Replies3167 and still nothing.... is this the customer service we deserve? This is the company we gave our money to?

Please bungie, please just listen to your -blam!-in community! I love destiny but with the state it's in now, it's really difficult to enjoy it. There is nothing to work toward, the end game doesn't really exist in this game, for the love of broom bot fix this train wreck bungie.

2 RepliesYou’re approaching this all wrong, complain about something that’s easy to fix like sword shaders and then you’ll get a response.

I was thinking just now, that we all should have seen this ****storm coming years ago when Bungie went on record saying if they could monetize Halo for even $1 they'd never have to work again. That right there, was the key tell that they had sold their souls and given up on true creativity. What we see all throughout D1 (and really why would they stop when it's making them so much money) and will continue to see in D2 and going forward, is pure avarice in the form of skinnerbox design. Oh sure, there are aspects of D2 I enjoy and as a whole I deeply love this universe they've created. It has some of the best lore I've seen in ages. But that doesn't matter one bit because Bungie will never do anything truly meaningful with it. Those of us like myself, looking for the next big evolution from Halo 3 will likely continue to be disappointed. H3 was a masterpiece, both from a PvP standpoint and PvE. It tied up everything fairly well, had a great campaign and some of the most competitive PvP console play ever. Destiny appeared to have at least some of that going for it back in the Alpha, especially in the PvP department but as we all know it's gone downhill rapidly. To Bungie's credit, D2's sidequests and adventures actually do a lot to flesh out more of the lore and are enjoyable at least from a narrative standpoint. But the gameplay continues to suck, and we have fewer options than ever to customize our characters and playstyles. Simply put, as long as people keep throwing money and accolades blindly at Bungie, nothing will change - they will keep doing the bare minimum to "satisfy" their playerbase who lap it up like the good sheep they are.

Edited by PR4X1S: 10/26/2017 8:41:00 PMHave you clicked on the contact us link 😂😂oh my days lol it's a total joke, there isn't even an actual link there, WTF they've gotta be in breach of some law here. The only actual links are where you find out if you can sell your own products, or purchase their items from store, or read their terms and conditions. Any complaints look like they have to go through this stupid app, that very rarely get read or acted upon, shoddy practice there bungo.

Loved D1 was there at the start. Looked forward to D2 after being told Bungie listened to its players. So i today i have maxed all 3 guardians. bored with the nightfalls and completed the raids heroic and normal.. standing in the tower with nothing to do got all exotic weapons, watched my clan mates drop from 40 to 2/3 ouch!! i watch both the forums and twitter for some sign of the game being resurrected ? nothing . oh well tomorrow assassins creed origins arrives.. For christ sake Bungie sort out this mess!!!!
