[quote]We've removed this chart because people are using it to spread a false narrative of the Destiny 2 player population. Daily Unique users is a misleading statistics to use as basis for the active population of the game, any game in that matter. Not everyone plays video games 24/7, besides maybe at launch. We hoped our article would've cleared this up a bit but it seems it hasn't. To halt people from making false narratives based on the numbers we provide we decided to stop showing them in this chart.

3 RepliesThis is pointless an silly, even in their lowest numbers Destiny has more players that games like COD MW, for example in the steam charts COD just gets numbers like 440 players in this day (just checked the steam charts a moment ago)
-
Hilarious, they are removing the charts because everyone is leaving! Move along nothing to see here!!!lmao
-
That's weak sauce Bungie, and now you're having problems with the pc launch too?

3 RepliesWhy not fix your broke game instead of removing stats that show how broke your game is?!?!

12 RepliesA daily population tracker is being used to quote the daily population of a game..... Stop the presses!.... Ironic how after roughly 4 years of being in use, this tracker suddenly becomes an issue....

36 RepliesEdited by Haunter: 10/24/2017 6:18:35 PMLmao @ anyone who thinks bungie didn't ask them to remove it - they'd comply immediately or risk losing support, I've known the halo tracker guys for a long time and they sure as hell wouldn't remove it just because people are using it to show how bad D2 is doing. Gotta hide the numbers on this failing game is all, this is on bungo

1 ReplyThe Graph of the summarized active players per day seperated by Activity (PvE|PvP) but not Title (D1/D2) is used like other graphs and statistics to say what the presenter wants to tell you. So It's taken Down. Looks like Our interesting game is over now. Maybe Bungies released Graphs and Statistics will be the game we've all been waiting for.

Hahahahahaha. If it was such a false statistic then why has it been left up and running on the website for the goo part of 3 years... oh thats right because its not being used to highlight how shit the game is. What a joke.

Talk about utter garbage! Yeah....naturally while the hype is still fresh there's going to be big spike in popularity but that always tapers off as the weeks go by. We get it...it's not rocket science. However quality games tend to stabilise and reach a balance between "no lifers" and the casual players. What the graph showed us was a steady decline with no hint of it leveling out after 6 weeks. Secondly most of the time this graph was pointed out to me it was a case of "Look at the downward trend"...no additional info added...none taken away...so if the figures were misleading then it's not the players fault. It's hard not to determine that Bungie/Activision simply didn't want a visual reference to the declining state of D2. Particularly when the PC launch is here. As many people in large clans have pointed out...and players with numerous friends who bought the game have done too....people are leaving D2. People may lie but the numbers don't.

It is funny isn't it. This game is obviously so bad off. When those of us who were the million hour bunch can't even figure out anything they want to do on reset day you know it is crap. Of course I count today as an active player even though it isn't anything to what I would do if the game wasn't just a shell of what it should be. Do you think they want players or not? That is a serious question because if they want people to play the game they will have to do a massive quick changing of much of the game structure and if they don't care which may well be the case then this is basically the structure we should expect. They may be looking to adapt more of a player base like other games play thought it then move on. Fine by me I guess.

Inb4 they post a new chart with their "alternative narrative"

Haha, they are leaking confidence and are taking their ball and going home.
