I recently bought D2 on pc so i haven't played the game yet (or D1) , but i wanted my first character to be a hunter because i always go for the mobile class , but i am not so sure now having heard from many members of the community that the hunter is too weak atm , mainly because his dodge is less valuable than the other classes counterpart, and his supers suck in pvp ,I linked the youtube video i watched and i just wanted to get confirmation from you veteran players out there maybe you got other opinions.

1 ReplyEdited by Ryuujin: 11/1/2017 5:28:58 AMThey can do any content in the game, the problem is they feel like they aren't playing the same game as Titan's and Warlocks; the latter two synergising with barriers, heals and unleashing their ultimates, denying area with grenades, supporting each other. Then you have Hunters, being all mobile and elusive, picking stuff off and scampering into cover. The hunter is playing a solid game of Call of Duty; but the Titan and Warlock are playing WoW, and the Hunter seems to have missed the memo.

I'm fine with the hunter in general, but all Hunter grenades are awful and need to be addressed.

4 RepliesHunters suck. I mained a hunter until just recently. Stopped playing it because it is simply weaker than the other classes. No help to fireteams, dodge doesn't dodge, and the only way it helps at all is invis, supers are blah unless you use certain exotics, grenades are garbage, etc. etc. It has gotten to the point where I have seen posts that hunters as a class were banned from the prestige raid. Sad really. I liked using my hunter.

1 ReplyHunters don’t “suck” technically but they get the least amount of love from bungie. I’ve always been a hunter but mobility is useless in D2 cause everybody moves just about the same speed. And Arcstrider is probably the weakest subclass in the game. And when you think about it Warlocks Got dawnblade instead of sunsinger( totally different subclasses) titans got sentinel instead of defender (totally different subclasses) hunters arcstrider is the same as blade dancer just with a staff and different moves. And lastly the titans get a barricade, warlocks get a rift and what does the hunters get? A freakin dodge that doesn’t prevent anything half the time. The hunter is the least loved class in the game by bungie and it’s just not fun to play as one because of it

4 RepliesEdited by SpecialKDude: 10/23/2017 12:17:22 PMHunters do not suck. They simply suit a different play style. If you like to stay put and hide behind a rift or shield, then choose Warlock or Titan. If you like to move around a lot and be mobile in your gunfights then choose Hunter.

4 RepliesNightstalker is the best hunter subclass as it offers more for your mid-game than the others. Then after that the gunslinger has one of the best supers. Arcstrider is......underpowered.

Edited by zNapSack: 10/23/2017 6:58:42 AMNo. Just different. You can't play a Hunter the same way you would a Titan or Warlock. Each class has its strengths and weaknesses. And that is what makes Guardians a force to be reckoned with, since each fulfills a role the others don't. This is especially true when the three are together as a fireteam.

The Hunter is fine. Couple Nightstalker with the Foetracer and Quickfang and you'll tear up in PVP.
