It's gonna keep dropping to. The more people realize what they been sold (a piece of crap) the more people will stop playing. I've stopped. It's just no fun. I'm playing other games waiting to see if they fix this dumpster fire of a game

1 ReplyYeah this game sucks

7 RepliesThis is normal. But go on, pretend the game is dying for the upteenth time

3 RepliesCountdown to rock bottom!!!! 👍😁😁😁

16 RepliesThat's what happens when you try to make a game for casuals rather than make a game unique and for its own audience The casuals never stick around. There's only room for one of them at a time, and right now that's call of duty

I will not play d2 or buy any dlc until specific changes are made which have been expressed by a majority of the community. I am glad to see people are speaking with their time and their wallets in addition to their posts. Games need to be fun. This game in its current state is not fun beyond the story campaign and does not deliver in the context of the genre it is apparently claiming to be part of (an mmo/rpg style shared world shooter). As a basic, play through the campaign once type of game, I guess it's fine and did what it was intended to do. However, Destiny/Destiny 2 is not advertised or designed to be a play through once type of game. I (along with many others) would rather do something else with my time.

1 ReplyAt its peak, it still was abysmally low when you put those numbers into context. How many tens of millions of consoles out there and it only hit 5 million unique users? That's pathetic, especially if you consider used games, gamefly, redbox, borrowed games(that's how I played it), etc. Physical sales in both UK and US now confirmed to be down by 50% or more, with analysts saying that digital, at most, makes up for an extra 10%. I also saw it on sale for the first time for $36 last night. It'll get a bump and some BS PR spin from Activision when it hits PC and then hopefully will bottom out. I'd like to see Bungie come through this dedicated to improving their game and delivering content worth the price but... is anybody really that naive at this point?

4 RepliesJerk off to the only game population metrics you've ever tracked y'all

10 RepliesI really tried to keep going back to D2 but I think I'm done after today. The nightfall is a joke this week, it's a poor strike to start with but add in the rings and it's just isn't fun. It's not even challenging in a positive way. Pvp? No thanks, iron banner exhausted what little patience I have for that. Raid? Ran a bit of it and felt like a circus monkey jumping through hoops and performing tricks. Badass super space guardian am I? I'll skip thanks. Public events? 20 minutes and I'm done. What else is there? God I miss D1, where did all the content go?

11 RepliesOnly a million daily players, the horror.
-
1.3 million actually and that doesn't include the last 3 days.
-
I just looked at DestinyTracker and it says 5.6 mil tracked players 1.4 mil PVP players 1.8 mil PVE players
I think the key here is how do the numbers above compare to the Destiny 1 numbers one month into launch back in 2014? So much comparison of D2 to D1 is done by considering the D1 numbers in Year 3 (after TTK and 5 plus large expansions).
-
I got the 👏's
-
I see those numbers, but I thought d1 population was included in the destiny tracker info, is that not right?
-
6 RepliesIt was 1.8 million yesterday. so they have apparently come back. See Destiny tracker.
-
7 RepliesI just looked at DestinyTracker and it says 5.6 mil tracked players 1.4 mil PVP players 1.8 mil PVE players you cant always rely on websites to have accurate numbers.
-
14 RepliesHow many daily players do other games have right now?
-
1 ReplyAre you serious? Warframe has more players...
-
Not bad considering PC isn't even released yet.
-
Down to 1.5 million
Someone made a post stating we were down to 1.3 million, so you're saying 200,000 players came back? Fast clap 👏 👏 👏

32 RepliesEdited by RavenousLD3341: 10/18/2017 3:23:40 PMOH NO! Destiny 2's release is following a textbook player interest curve that is also exhibited by every other AAA title across the gaming industry. Someone help!!!! It's fun watching you guys.... with clearly NO industry knowledge watch 1 game's population and just assume that this is abnormal. It's not.
Downvote all you want complainers, but there's not denying the truth. This is a fact, keep ringing the alarm bells over something that's perfectly normal, I don't look dumb.
6 RepliesEdited by TheEvilYouKnow: 10/18/2017 3:50:07 PMDoesn't matter. They already have everyone's money. Their job isn't to make good games, it's to make money. Doesn't matter if they're making shit games if they sell. The game industry is going to shit and it's our fault.

1 ReplyI thought Mass Effect: Andromeda was a poor excuse for a sequel.......
-
3 RepliesThat only means something if there are stats to show what new games typically do. I expect all games have some drop off after 6 weeks. I've bought numerous games and have been done and through with them by 6 weeks.
