Hey, like this post if you are a D1 veteran now playing D2. I am; before the game came out I told myself that I would alternate between the two, but all I've played since September 5 is D2! I love this game, yes there are bugs, but overall its great. Plus, this is a really exciting week with Iron Banner, as well as the Inverted Spire Nightfall ( anything is better than Savathun's Song with anomalies!). Anyways, all you guardians out there who enjoy the game, cheers!
EDIT!
Listen everybody, I've been catching a lot of crap about this post; people calling me a bungie employee, autistic, and someone with no taste. None of that is even remotely true. I just like the game, and it's fun to make posts like this from time to time and communicate with other people who enjoy it. Now, if you are about to post something about how much you think D2 sucks ( as so many people already have ), please go somewhere else. This post is for people who like the game.

I'm enjoying it. I like to play each day, but don't have large chunks of time, so I still have plenty to do. Crucible has been an adjustment, but I'm finally finding a rhythm
-
Yea it's a pretty perfect game for me

Day one player from the beginning, I was ps4 but just switched to Xbox one because a couple friends from work wanted to be able to play. I am happy with the game over all, I play almost every night. I miss the old bladedancer perks and OP-ness, I miss some guns, but I m not going anywhere.

4 RepliesWow! I went to sleep last night and my post had 300 likes. Now it's almost at 700! This is awesome. It's nice to see other people who are enjoying the game as well. And as for you negative insulting pieces of crap saying that some people are blind, or unintelligent, just stay the hell off of the post. The title isn't, "if you hate D2, come complain about it"!. #Destiny 2 is full of negative shit about the game right now, so if I want to post something positive about, just keep your comments to yourself.

3 RepliesThe game is good, I'm enjoying it, a fresh feel and of course Bungie will make adjustments as they did with D1. Here's an idea, the angry players can go play something else if the game is that bad, you guys suck anyways.

2 Replies*creates a post that says good things about D2* The whole salty ass forum “BOOO” I’m with you. I love D2. Of course there are setbacks and some things that could change but I still love it. If you go into a game thinking about how much you hate it, of course you’ll hate it while you play.

10 RepliesEdited by cwba1: 10/11/2017 11:58:41 AMSorry you are getting personal attacks for saying you enjoy what is basically entertainment media. I agree with you, D2 is good fun. I am enjoying it too. I have been frequenting this forum since D1 started and its always been a sodium rich environment but wow its off the charts now. What makes me smile is that for three years there has been a steady stream of ranty threads demanding Bungie change this or bring back that. Rants that D1 is crap, that it is dying and so on. Now, they are all D1 was amazing, make D2 like D1, Im going back to D1 etc etc. You cant win. Me, I am sure I must be a scrub or as I was told yesterday, a casual who doesnt know any better, because I liked D1 warts and all, and guess what, I like D2 as well. I dont mind that things have changed. Some work better than others, some need tweaking but if it doesnt happen, I think the world will still turn. I believe there are still other game makers releasing titles if it all gets too much for people. Go, enjoy. Its just pastime entertainment.

3 RepliesI miss titan bubble. And a million other things. I liked PVp in destiny 1 a lot better.

D2 is great! I understand letting your voice be heard on the things in the game we don't like, but the level of crying like the world has ended is unbelievable. I need little more incentive to play this game then wrecking people in Crucible with my friends.

8 RepliesHonestly, it's just so refreshing to see a post like this. Reading all that negativity in the forum gives me -blam!-ing depression. And every thread is about the same shit over and over and over and over. Keep up with the positivity! High five to you, my friend.

2 RepliesI'm a d1 vet like you. I'm glad to see another vet that's not constantly complaining about every little feature. It really is a good game.
-
I was....until I got my desired loadout a week after launch. Now I'm off to play warframe and the mcc
-
1 ReplyPvp is where ive found the only valid complaints about D2 so far. I havent played it myself because i still have PTSD from Thorn, but i heard its a complete laggy mess.
-
I agree! It's a lot of fun and I'm enjoying it. I loved D1 even with all its problems and I love D2 even with all it's problems.

11 RepliesI actually just quit playing earlier. Game is trash. Bungie betrayed people who fell in love with D1, and forced out this embarrassment of a sequel.

Been playing since day 1 and I don't plan to give up on the series anytime soon.

8 RepliesPeople in this comments being negative are showing their true colors...probably a bunch of kids who want everything handed to them

1 ReplyThey made a lot of quality changes that needed to be addressed, but the bulk of the game is missing a lot of what made D1 great in the first place. D2 focuses more on balance than it does on the fun factor. Getting the exact same guns and gear to endlessly dismantle just to buy more gear to endlessly dismantle isn't a fun endgame. Played D1 again and it feels like it should have been the sequel.

I'm with you. This game may have issues but I'm still having fun.

6 RepliesEdited by GalaxySpider: 10/11/2017 4:00:21 PMIt‘s funny how people who dislike the game are literally angry at the ones who like it. I mean, that says a lot about who actually has real „issues“. All that fanboy nonsense etc. First rule: People can enjoy what they want. While Destiny 2 is a bit sleepy at endgame content or long time goals (even though you could set your own ones like collecting all emblems etc) it is still a great game. The progression in early stages is good and people get rewarded constantly. That is a huuuge step over D1 and was one of the major complaints from almost everyone who played D1, especially in Year 1. People were sitting on 29 forever. Now everyone has an equal chance to level up and it is everyones own choice how to. As an example, many disliked the fact that max level required raiding, especially when you look at how many actually completed a raid. D2 gives you plenty of options for each taste. The weekly engramms cover all major activities + clan rewards. Fact is, people wanted these options. I put over 5200 hours into D1 and still can‘t see myself going back to D1. I do miss some features (heroic strikes and a few other thing) but that does not make me liking D1 more or anything. Same with PvP. Even though D2 is mainly focused about teamplay and smaller teams, the matches are somehow more dynamic because of the medium sized maps with 4 people and offer a wide variety of loadouts, not just MIDA. I can play Auto Rifles and win, Scouts, sidearms, SMGs, even swords now have a use in PvP. Nearly every weapon type is in a good own spot now. You wanted ARs to be good. Here they are in all their glory, are blast to use and suddenly people realize there is more depth than just Handcannons and complain?... Some maps prefer long range combat, some CQC. And yes this is what the game wants and what most other shooters do. No sorry, you can‘t just Eyasluna or Palindrome all day. D2 is more shooter‘ish and yes, I like it, because it is an FPS after all. Sure, less supers, less ability spam. I don‘t mind it, I even prefer it. Makes me think twice before „wasting“ a grenade and hope for a hit. I still rock with my Golden Gun and get doubles and tripples with it. You just have to play smart instead of rushing into enemies with the advantage of nobody knowing where you are or who that actual guy with the super is. That was most idiotic thing to me in D1 PvP: supers are often match deciders especially in ToO. Now you can actually outplay these powerful abilities and still stand a chance. Is it more tactical? Yes. Is it more about your team? Yes. Does it automatically make it bad? No. Because otherwise D1‘s pvp would be bad as well cauz it promotes the exact opposite things and people would complain. Wait...people DID complain about the Crucibles countless METAs, ability spam and super fest, forced exotic quests in PvP, toxic players, horrible sweat fest in Trials, Iron Banner lag, P2P lag in general, overpowered class perks (viking funeral, whombo combo, etc) called the crucible the worst multiplayer in any AAA game for the stated reasons and the list goes on. Tbh I see no difference in terms of complaints or what people „hate“ here between the two games. The just hate/like the opposite facts of each game. No surprise. I‘m actually amazed how many suddenly contradict themselfes how awesome and good PvP in D1 was even though the forums were FLOODED for 3 effin’ years straight with posts about how bad everything was and still is, according to these posts. If they like it now then just for the reason I just explained. And yet it doesn‘t make D1 any better here. You can just prefer one thing or another. A few maps have balance issues in control (that damn Leviathan...) but every game improves over time (or gets worse, who knows), sequel or not. I would really love to see PTRs for Destiny. IMO it is a must have for any big game with a PvP component.

It's a game that has it's flaws and I can say, despite them, there are still things I like. People can say static rolls, the 2 primary system, and abilities being on a longer cool down makes the game shit, but...how much of the original system got the game -blam!-ed in the first place? Literally all of it. I like having both a close and long range weapon in pve and PvP. Being forced to use heavy and special in destiny 1 to do any good damage to pve bosses was boring, sure it gave you a more "in the moment" feel, but it just...got boring after a while, but that still also applies to the 2 primary system. There are a lot of things from the original that should have been in destiny 2 (strike modifiers, custom games, better exotics, choosing your game mode, etc) but regardless I still like the game for how it is, because I actually enjoy doing something other than raids now. Patrols are actually worth doing now and they aren't boring (to me) chests being something other than just miniscule amounts of glimmer is good too, nightfalls can be continuously run for rewards after completing them the first time, something that made nightfalls (imo) boring to do with friends after I've already completed it. The raid...eh...but nonetheless unique, compared to just "shoot bullet sponge" and I like it (to a degree) Weapons are actually usable! The weapons at the end of year 3 in destiny basically had to have a god roll to be used to it's actual potential in both pve and PvP. So many handcannons struggled without range perks and auto rifles in general had to have a god roll to even have a reason to be used. The 2 primary system allows you to customize your load out more personally. You can utilize a handcannon or a scout rifle to fulfill your precision weapon niche, or run an auto and an smg to maximize your close-medium range devastation. Compared to before where a pulse could just outgun a scout and a handcannon could just outgun an auto, the weapons are more closely balanced to where (once they balance specific weapons because there are still weapons with issues) each weapon will have a good chance to beat it's counter or be equal to it. Abilities being slower does make the destiny experience more boring, but it makes you place higher value on when you use it, compared to before where you could just throw it when ever and only wait about 1/2 the time and do it again. And although many don't like it, I personally do (PvP balance also :3) But I think the longer cooldowns should have, at the very least, strengthened the abilities (for pve mostly) but they just don't feel very powerful sometimes. The game needs more weapons for static rolls to be ok, not like hundreds, but about a good 2-3 more for each archetype. More perks too. Strike specific loot gives a reason to do strikes. Stop the stupid coin system, it makes rewards far too frequent and it ruins the fun of receiving a new weapon, and it just makes it boring to receive a new weapon in general. Prestige raids should be different than the normal raid, just changing mechanics is kind of boring, adding new parts would be fun. Raid weapons should actually be the weapons with random rolls, to make raid weapons more worthwhile.

What?! A positive opinion towards this game?! On these forums? Shame on you sir, we should all stone you to death

1 ReplyI really enjoyed playing D1 and am enjoying playing D2 even with its flaws.the one thing I really hate that the did was putting a timer on the nighfall,I refuse to do it. It took over 2.5yrs to get D1 to were it’s at.People just need to have patience. There are still dlc’s on their way so who knows?
