Nice IB reskin weapons bungie
As guessed, they’re just a bunch of lazy reskins.
So I guess that’s what Luke meant...by making the fifth drop of the same weapon more interesting, by adding five reskins of the same weapon?! Nice...
This is just damn lazy bungie! Or did you plan IB with no weapons at all and had to make some quick, because people already were worried why there are no infos about them?
Not even a samurai sword? Nothing?
And the fact that light level doesn’t matter anymore, makes the first IB a shadow of itself. I’m sad.... -_-
Edit: It seems there are many people defending the reskinned weapons. And I know we had reskins before, but bungie finally made the step to add unique weapons to IB. So why go back?
Are you guys ok if your mom/girlfriend finally adds mayonnaise on your sandwich and all of a sudden stops doing it? I’m pretty sure everyone would be disappointed by it. ;)
And also, I agree, the armor looks great! But all I got so far was the freaking terak chest...I mean, wtf. I’m playing IB, so why add random gear in the lootpool bungie?!

Got the pulse and the auto. They're the best IB weapons since TTK. I'm also having a blast in the matches. Good times.

1 ReplyReskins don't completely bother me, but these just aren't even that interesting looking. Of course, that would be more okay, if there was some sort of really interesting perk set - but I'm not seeing it. Sidearm looks cool, but there are more interesting choices. Some of the armor looks great - you'd have thought the designers would say "hey, with all this samurai schtick, a sword might really tie the room together."

They looked like they were carved out of tree trunks. Like Colonial American muskets with magazines glued to the bottom. Functionally they were great. Visually... blurg I don't remember much about the pre-RoI weapons. I think the Pulse and Scout looked solid. I don't recall if they were reskins. I'd rather have reskinned Vanguard weapons than those RoI versions.

There are some 300 items that are currently listed as "Classified" in the game's gear database. WTF makes you think you've seen everything the game is going to be rolling out. What makes you think that what you're seeing now are all the IB weapons that will ever be available. Bungie NEVER does that. They ALWAYS just make a portion of what will eventually enter the game, available at any one time.

Every single dlc in destiny 1 had reskins, taken king introduced new weapons that were later reskined, rise of iron had new models but every single vendor gun used that model. Reskins are not a bad thing. They allow players who like the look of a weapons to find one that looks similar but fits their play style more. Like if you like a scout rifles look but not it's rate of fire they could have another version of it with a faster rate that you enjoy more

11 RepliesYou guys do realize that iron banner didn't get unique weapon designs until the rise of iron? Or did everyone just forget that? These weapons aren't, lore wise, weapons of the iron lords like the ones we got in the third year of d1. Of course they're not going to look unique, they are just the rewards given by lord Saladin for participating in the iron banner.

The only time Iron Banner had new looking weapons was when the rise of iron dropped. Before that all IBs had reskinned weapons

2 RepliesYes. Destiny 1 IB was just reskins and that was the standard for 2 years. ROI introduced a new standard that we all appreciated, the fact they went back to the lazy way after doing it right is the [u]real[/u] issue.

They aren't even good reskins. The reskins of IB in D1 year 1-2 were great and actually looked cool. These reskins are just green dinky shits

And it was a dumb inclusion. -Pretty much every single iron banner armor set and weapons have been reskins up until RoI. But just because a single dlc had unique armor and weapons doesn't mean it should just be automatically expected, especially from Luke Smith. -The only thing that is a reskin is the weapon model, other than that because of static rolls they are basically new weapons.
