Nice IB reskin weapons bungie
As guessed, they’re just a bunch of lazy reskins.
So I guess that’s what Luke meant...by making the fifth drop of the same weapon more interesting, by adding five reskins of the same weapon?! Nice...
This is just damn lazy bungie! Or did you plan IB with no weapons at all and had to make some quick, because people already were worried why there are no infos about them?
Not even a samurai sword? Nothing?
And the fact that light level doesn’t matter anymore, makes the first IB a shadow of itself. I’m sad.... -_-
Edit: It seems there are many people defending the reskinned weapons. And I know we had reskins before, but bungie finally made the step to add unique weapons to IB. So why go back?
Are you guys ok if your mom/girlfriend finally adds mayonnaise on your sandwich and all of a sudden stops doing it? I’m pretty sure everyone would be disappointed by it. ;)
And also, I agree, the armor looks great! But all I got so far was the freaking terak chest...I mean, wtf. I’m playing IB, so why add random gear in the lootpool bungie?!

Only exceptions are exotics. D2 at least kept the many weapon models that rise of iron had, with a couple more thanks to viest as a foundry and Devrim Kay's weapons.

2 RepliesFor the 20th time - light level meant nothing before also. Bungie states in D1 that if you were within 30 light levels of max light that there was no difference in damage done or received. I also don’t know what you all expected weapon-wise. If they come out with 2-3 weapons that are so OP that you had to have them to be competitive all people would do is complain. Balance is far more important. Everyone wanted balance and you got it - now everyone wants game breaking new weapons because it was “fun”. No it wasn’t. I do not miss the days of Nirwins Mercy or nothing at all. That was a shite show in trials and crucible. The only weapons needing to be buffed a bit are hand cannons and pulse rifles.

Firstly the light level thing is a step forward because its either that or wait for 1/2 hour for people with the same light as you. And also i get the weapon disappointment bit the armour is awsome plus this is the first bit of properly good looking titan armour.

1 ReplyWow! I checked out the complete warlock set and it looks horrible. The crappy looking shaders can't help it either. I will still play IB, because pvp is the only thing worth playing.

What I don't get, is that to make new weapons all they have to do is create new perks, and then put them different guns. We have really seen that many new perks added in aside from a few in TTK and a few for D2. Yet there are done of fun perk ideas available! Use them Bungie! To make even more weapon diversity, they can allow weapons to have two perks like in D1 (no idea why they cut them down to 1) and then mix up the new perks and the old perks into guns. It's not exactly random rolls, but it would create a deeper pool of weapons

only the rise of iron IB weapons weren't reskins. every other IB had reskinned weapons. Trials did as well until year 3. I'm actually surprised that trials of the nine didn't have reskinned weapons. (the armor was a big let down tho, all looks lame imo. oh lets just throw some spikes here and maybe some blades coming off over here.)
