Nice IB reskin weapons bungie
As guessed, they’re just a bunch of lazy reskins.
So I guess that’s what Luke meant...by making the fifth drop of the same weapon more interesting, by adding five reskins of the same weapon?! Nice...
This is just damn lazy bungie! Or did you plan IB with no weapons at all and had to make some quick, because people already were worried why there are no infos about them?
Not even a samurai sword? Nothing?
And the fact that light level doesn’t matter anymore, makes the first IB a shadow of itself. I’m sad.... -_-
Edit: It seems there are many people defending the reskinned weapons. And I know we had reskins before, but bungie finally made the step to add unique weapons to IB. So why go back?
Are you guys ok if your mom/girlfriend finally adds mayonnaise on your sandwich and all of a sudden stops doing it? I’m pretty sure everyone would be disappointed by it. ;)
And also, I agree, the armor looks great! But all I got so far was the freaking terak chest...I mean, wtf. I’m playing IB, so why add random gear in the lootpool bungie?!

5 RepliesTechnically they aren't reskins because of static perks. Each weapon is its own individual thing now that only share models. Although I much prefer these reskins to the shitty looking RoI iron banner weapons.

38 RepliesOther than a samurai sword (which would be fücking awesome), what ideas would you have for weapons that wouldnt constitute as "reskins"? I feel like any weapon that is made, people will still call it a "reskin".

2 RepliesToo all the people who say: “they reskinned the guns in D1 and nobody cared then.” 1. That’s actually false, in rise of iron the guns had unique looks with weapon blades and cloth, while yes they had similar models the look itself was not just a different shader. 2. Yes, people did complain, I complained as well as countless people from my clan and friends who play. Was it game breaking? No. Did the majority complain? Maybe, but they didn’t voice their opinions very loudly. It’s a shame they did this with the faction gear and iron banner gear, with as few armor sets and weapons that look unique I was looking forwards to more sets. I was severely disappointed.

Why does some people think just because the weapons have different perks that they aren’t reskin - a reskin is a reused asset that has a slightly different look like a colour swap or a logo stuck on the side minimal effort changes basically

Me: Uh, pretty sure the weapons in D1 looked more like ancient Iron Lord weapons than these reskins of weapons we've been using, also their perks aren't all that spectacular (most of them) compared to ones we can already get. Did Lady Efrideet take them all with her or something?

37 RepliesWhat a weapon looks like is irrelevant, what it /does/ matters and they do have new perk combinations. Where looks matter is armor, and not only is the armor set new, its freaking amazing looking. Not to mention every IB set of weapons except for Y3 was a reskin in D1 too. So who gives a shit.
