Make the trials player matchmaking into 2 pools
1 ) Players who are not yet flawless that week
2) Players who have reach flawless that week
Simple as that , players got match making to the players at the same pool, so the pro can vs pro , but also have a chance to beat the weak at the first run.
And the normal players also have a chance to reach flawless and not getting stormed every time as the flawless people are poking around.
Both are happy

Edited update:
So many people mistake my point that they think once they have flawless they will face flawless forever , no , what I mean is once you have finished this week flawless than you started to face other flawless, so for your first run each week you are still facing random people.
Edited update 2:
So now a number of people are saying " Go spent 24/7 to practice , losers"
Thats just not a way to fix things , to make more people join and try to get involve in the trials is what I want to achieve , suggesting a new system that preventing new comers getting stormed , making rooms for them to growth .
And as making rooms for the new comers to growth is hurting those who want to beat new comers but not wanting to face true pro, I am sorry for them , even in videos game we have these kind of people

How would I deny others fawless???
-
There's nothing wrong with trials format at the moment. Compared to the state it was on the last year of d1 this is excellent
-
I would agree only if this is per character only and if they add special rewards for wins after Flawless.

1 ReplyIts not like you're missing anything, all the weapons are worse than the ones you can farm.
-
13 RepliesThen everyone could go flawless. The "light house" isn't meant to be accessible by every player.
-
Trials is fine, you can already access the social space with a single win and the matchmaking is random, meaning it's even easier than win based matches like in D1 year 2-3. Trials is meant to be difficult, spend some time practicing and honing your skills if you want flawless so badly. Also, there is no longer any major benefit to going flawless such as exclusive weapons, it's literally a piece of armor with a different name, emblem and aura that lasts for a week. D2 is easy enough as it is, no need to change anything. The last thing is this would deter people who haven't played trials yet from playing with their friends who maybe haven't gone flawless or played yet. If my buddy can't get on until Saturday or Sunday and I get my flawless runs in on Friday then there is zero incentive for him to want to play with me. Then you have less people teaming up, playing together and population drops off more quickly.

I remember when Bungie said it's absolutely intended that average players don't go flawless... keep dreaming

4 RepliesWhat happens if I can easily go flawless 3x a week then want to take my clan mates who aren't as skilled flawless or even play with them? It would ultimately alienate players into only playing with people of the same skill level which when you game with friends in real life isn't always the case
-
I get what you're saying but going flawless right now is the easiest it's ever been. There's no SBMM or win vs win crap, it's pure CBMM and random - it's amazing. Changing that will create more pay to win carry situations.
-
1 ReplySo people would postpone it till Monday, and shitters would still be shit.

6 RepliesFlawless isn't for people who are bad at crucible. Once you wrap your heads around that life will be much easier.
-
5 RepliesEdited by Coyote_Joe_304: 10/3/2017 9:29:21 PMIts not meant for everyone to reach the top of the spire. I was in a PUG and we managed 5 on a single run. None of us were crucible gods. Just got to communicate ans team shoot. If it was meant for everyone to go, it would lose its appeal. (Yes i realize paid carries diminish that some as well.)

I don't know what's worse. The entitled or the elitists!
-
1 ReplyI just wish there was private matches so me and my team can practice and learn sight lines and maps and strats in a controlled environment.
-
9 RepliesTo be fair, trials is supposed to be similar to a tournament for skilled players. It's not meant to be something everyone can do. That doesn't mean it works well, but that is the intended goal
-
19 RepliesI think Bungie has learned from their past mistakes of listening to the forum moaners, judging by their post about the MIDA. Trials isn't made for everyone to be able to go flawless, they let you to the spire this time around, they let you get literally all the gear available. The only thing you can't get is an emblem. It's not gonna happen. Will you really feel proud and like you've achieved something if they take away the decent teams, and then the slightly less decent teams. Literally everyone would be able to go flawless, and then it wouldn't mean anything at all because all thay would be left by Monday night is people with 0.4KDs no offence to anyone. The entitlement is real with some people, trials isn't as hard as D1 And all the rewards are available, the spire is available to everyone yet we still have people moaning.

you win or you dont stfu everyone can be good not my fault ur trash
-
There's nothing to fix
-
5 RepliesOh look here come the scrubs crying about trials again Bungie already made it easier by making Trials Matchmaking random. What is the point of flawless if scrubs can just wait until Monday when all the good players have gone flaw and then get an easy 7 wins against sub 1k/d players?
-
Stop asking for a cheese. You sound pathetic.
-
Either it matters or it doesn't matter. Either Trials is for the skilled players looking for a challenge or it isn't.
-
Look heres the deal. Trials is for the hard-core PvPers. Raids used to be for the hard-core PvEers and i guess some what still is. But my point is they shouldn't change the formula. Im trash at PvP k/d of .94 and ka/d of like 1.42. So i under stand im not the target audience for Trials, even tho i love the PvP in D2.
-
NOOO!!! Going flawless should be like winning an oscar! What an achievement. May the biggest bunch or meta dick riding teamshotting fun policing sweaty losers win! Yay crucible.
-
I like this idea. They can even reward the teams that go flawless against other flawless some special emblems "Top Gun" emblem awarded to the best of the best Maybe even put those guys in a bracket tournament so they'll feel extra elite. Everybody gets a chance to win and maybe this would bring down the amount of ppl looking to pay for a carry
