Make the trials player matchmaking into 2 pools
1 ) Players who are not yet flawless that week
2) Players who have reach flawless that week
Simple as that , players got match making to the players at the same pool, so the pro can vs pro , but also have a chance to beat the weak at the first run.
And the normal players also have a chance to reach flawless and not getting stormed every time as the flawless people are poking around.
Both are happy
---------//////---------------/////--------
Edited update:
So many people mistake my point that they think once they have flawless they will face flawless forever , no , what I mean is once you have finished this week flawless than you started to face other flawless, so for your first run each week you are still facing random people.
Edited update 2:
So now a number of people are saying " Go spent 24/7 to practice , losers"
Thats just not a way to fix things , to make more people join and try to get involve in the trials is what I want to achieve , suggesting a new system that preventing new comers getting stormed , making rooms for them to growth .
And as making rooms for the new comers to growth is hurting those who want to beat new comers but not wanting to face true pro, I am sorry for them , even in videos game we have these kind of people

Edited by Respectpays: 10/6/2017 11:02:24 PMgoing 2 be a repeat of d1, 1 nerd going 2 get mad and start ddos every gd player they see. once all gd players leave trials due to this ppl will stop whineing. how 2 prevent if you have a gd kd or kda teach others how 2 play. lets not have non stop sever attacks in d2. this seems stupid but its not, sometimes that average player is the only reason the game isn't dead yet. ask yourself do you want dead content so soon? the only other way is forced learning which means all guns would have 2 do 1/4th of the damage except power weapons, this forces ppl to team shot its no longer a option.

12 RepliesI honestly can't believe people are complaining about this extremely watered down version of trials. You can literally have a card where your toughest opponents have a .5kd on there team. If your struggling against that......... maybe it's time to just admit to yourself your just not very good?

38 RepliesEdited by PhreshBrotha: 10/3/2017 7:58:49 PMThis has been asked for a million times, it’s an uphill battle. You’ll only get replies from the assholes who make going Flawless sound like it’s supposed to require as much work as a Medical Degree. The more ironic thing is that those who have been flawless multiple times will come in here and repeat the same BS: “tRiALs Is fOr ThE eLiTe” “GiT gUd ScRuB” “tRiALs ShUd bE eArNeD” blah blah blah. You’ll only get accused of wanting entitlement when all you want is a fair shot. They’ll tell you that while failing to acknowledge the fact that they destroyed terrible teams to get to the top. Or they’ll tell you “I shouldn’t by punished for being good. I shouldn’t have to be sweaty every match” Beach what the fuq?! If Trials is for the Elite then shouldn’t the Elite be exclusively playing against the Elite? I mean does that not make sense? If you claim that Trials is for the best of the best then pubstomping is only hurting your argument. You can’t call Trials some High Stakes End Game Highly Competitive Tournament when the chances of playing Scrubs and Pros are the same. You don’t see the New England Patriots playing against some scrub ass High School team from New Jersey in the Super Bowl I went Flawless like 2 or 3 times in D1 and you know what? That “sense of achievement” faded away after like 5 minutes. I didn’t feel superior to everyone else. And tbh I still believe there should be a tiered system with tiered rewards.

21 Repliesno-if you want casual go play the quick playlist. Trials is meant to be a tournament style may the best team win playlist. Its not meant for casuals to play other casuals so they can get their participation trophy trip to the spire. Please stop with these non sense posts about how to fix trials. You should have titled your post "This is what i need to be done to trials so i have a chance to go flawless".

22 RepliesI ask the same thing to every poster with this proposal, Do I Get better loot for facing flawless people after in priority? If I work harder , I should be rewarded with better / exclusive loot.

This argument will never be solved. The "elite" players say flawless should be earned and if they can't win they need to "git gud". The "average" players say they just want to play against people on their level (or worse) for a fair chance at flawless however, those same players would probably have the same attitude as the "elite" players once they get what they want. I can see both sides of the argument but there is a glaring hole in one side: The "elite" players are not being completely honest with themselves. If "elite" player X had to play 7 games: Game 1 vs Lumi, Game 2 vs nKuch, Game 3 vs WarBulletProof, Game 4 vs DrLupo, Game 5 vs Krafty, Game 6 vs TrueVanguard, Game 7 vs TripleWreck.. They would be singing an entirely different tune. "Oh but that's not the same" According to your argument, it is the same. "Trials is end game PVP, its supposed to be hard" For the average player, playing against some of you "elite" players is like you guys playing against the players listed above every single match and if you were honest with yourselves you would not want to play matches against those players and their teams every single match, every single weekend and if you did you would be crying the same tune as the "average" player saying "you just want a fair shot". Some of you are reading this saying "I will just practice and get better until I can win anyway" No you won't. Others are saying "I already face teams just as good if not better than all those guys listed" No you don't. And if you do, you don't face them 7 straight games every single card you play. Even if you don't agree with the OP, at least give his idea some thought before you just dismiss it and say "git gud". Disclaimer 1: Not saying those guys are unbeatable. Just using their names for sake of the argument. Disclaimer 2: I think trials is fine the way it is, buuuut I understand OPs frustration. Disclaimer 3: Internet warriors.. En garde.. lol

I love facing the same trash team back to back where we leave them on 0 both times .haha.
-
The only reason I am for this is it would make it slightly harder for paid carries. Instead of a flawless player being able to carry others by playing random they would have a tougher challenge since they would have dead weight playing stronger opponents.
-
Its end game content. It is NOT meant to be easy. Mate if you want easy go play wii sports. If you want end game.loot you have to earn it. No point bitching about it haha scrubs

https://youtu.be/4tI2CaP1db8 trials is really easy and if you know how you can make it fun. Challenge yourself use different weapons and do carries. That's how I keep my self into the trials of the Nine. Running with a stacked team is boring and no fun. Check out this video so you can see what I mean

21 RepliesEdited by SKELTON: 10/5/2017 9:54:36 PM~~~~~~HORRIBLE SOLUTION~~~~~~ They should matchmake people by the average KD of each player. Basically if your whole team has an average of a 1.0 KD it will matchmake you with a team with the same average of a 1.0 KD. That way it would actually be a fair fight. Instead of having a team with all players having less then a 1.0 KD get put against a team with an average of 3.0+ KD's. That imo makes trials AIDS for the casual crucible player with a 1.0 KD. Plus anyone can pay for carry to get flawless. Most of the time people that have went flawless and flaunt the emblem aren't that good. EDIT: Ok so I got rekt in the replies. BUT what if you couldn't manipulate it. WHAT IF the matchmaking used your overall KD from all your characters even the ones you delete? Basically your entire account's KD from crucible? that way even if you delete a character it wouldn't reset your KD it would just add it on. There is an emblem that shax gives you for your KA/D and the number shown represents your KA/D for all your characters and it might not even change if you delete a character. So bungie has it kind of implemented already. Or atleast they have your average KD for your account in some database.

Edited by SimonSez2: 10/5/2017 12:39:48 PMBeen saying this since D1. Getting tired of seeing stacked 2.0+ kds carrying someone for cash. Unfortunately though these kind of people that play trials 24/7 would make destiny 2 lose a lot of its player base, which is why this hasnt been done.
-
I can't be bothered to play trials. Eventually most people will reach that point too. It'll hardly be a successful game mode, but it brings in the streamer publicity so I doubt Bungie cares.
-
So, in D1 this makes since but D2 pvp is super easier. I actually die more to lag then to actual gun fights. It's real fun seeing the bullet go through a wall and seeing the impact texture on the wall that comes and kills me. I'd be fine if I died trying to get around the corner but during behind the 3foot thick wall is not fun.
-
I wish trials was elimination still :( not a fan of countdown, and survival takes too long
-
4 RepliesI know right! It's like cmon New England...you already won the super bowl last season. Stop playing this year and give other teams a chance!
-
Bungie you know what to do, *Hotfix incoming*

What made Trials unique in Destiny1 was the bracket based matchmaking. As a team progresses through their card without taking a loss they end up playing other players who have not had a loss. Usually, but not always, when a team played their final flawless game it was against a team that was also going for flawless or running scarab... I am a dedicated casual and didn't go flawless much over the course of Destiny1 but did go to the lighthouse a hand full of times and what made it so sweet was that plays were made against really good players to achieve flawless. There was no easy path for the casual. On the occaisions that I won with friends who had put blood sweat and tears into getting good enough to go flawless... It felt so damn good!! On the few occaisions that I won a lottery and was invited to play with top tier players I learned so much and also had a great time. Because it was hard to go flawless in D1 there was a demand that was created and from that demand blossomed a unique community with positive points and negative..... Based on my experience and what I have read... correct me if I am wrong..THe current Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris matchmaking algos are strictly connection based. A team going for flawless could match against a team playing their first game.... a team of scrubs could easily win 7 games in the current system granted they are lucky enough to not match against good players SO Now is the time for YOU to have a chance to go flawless. When and if Bungie changes to a bracket based matchmaking in Trials someone like you who, who is not a PvPer will have no chance of going flawless unless you win a raffle and get carried by a streamer or likewise practice and get good. Point is the Trials of Osiris experience in Destiny 2 pales in comparison to the Trials experience in Destiny 1 due to the current connection based matchmaking system that is in place.....(and the opening animations which take way too long)..... To enact the system that YOU suggest would further deteriorate the Trials experience. GOing to the Spire should be earned not entitled.

5 RepliesEdited by Fridén: 10/4/2017 4:57:20 PMThis wouldn't work. What happens if you are in a team, 3 people who haven't been flawless and 1 who has? If it puts you in the flawless pool those other 3 individuals are probably not going to want that 4th, which would prevent playing with clan mates or friends in a lot of cases. Trials in D2 is a easier flawless than D1 after that patch that paired you with teams with the same amount of wins. It is not almost nearly 100% CBMM like Destiny 1, when it was stupid easy to go flawless.
-
3 RepliesCard reset at 6. Go to 7 on last day. Your plan is bad.
-
1 ReplyI think Trials of the Nine should be based on your current k/d for that week. I'm trash at pvp and I'm not denying it, but when you get matched up against people whom play consistently in your first 3 matches, it's kind of a turn off. I was hesitant about playing trials but then you get matched up against some bad ass players (props to your skills, no hate), it makes me want to never play crucible. During The early release of Iron Banner I played and the match making wasn't bad. Now it's either you get curb stomped or you're doing the stomping.
-
SBMM, that's it.
-
This will be good but it will take time to perfect but if they implement something like this it will help alot
-
1 ReplyWe went against some dudes this weekend that has the trials emblem with amount of wins. Guy had 285 wins That's not a typo. There should be a different trials matchmaking with people that just want to grind out sweaties with each other. Wtf is my team going up against tryhards?
-
I agree- good fix
-
Going flawless isn't meant to be easy. I do agree a system like in the first game should be used but at the same time they shouldn't just make flawless players only ever face flawless players.
